This is the corpse of a spider I found in our basement. Ugly in that some are uncomfortable with spiders, death, and mold to begin with, yet lovely in the contrast and form they created.

My wife saw some entries in this contest and had the great idea of entering her cat teapot collection. Some of these are fairly old, going back to the 1930's and 40's. She has more than this, but we were limited to 25. One lone doggie in the center. :-)
Off to save Metropolis once again (or, off to embarrass his kids again by running around the neighborhood in a cape like a lunatic!) :-p

Part of a huge flock of Canadian Geese gliding in for a landing on our lake.

...would smell as sweet. I agreed that there might be too many roses since it was the national flower of the U.S., so I looked up my state flower to use it. It was... a rose (New York). :-)
