Cold Storage

We live in an area that gets 12 to 15 feet (3.5 to 4.5 meters) of snow per year. In the earlier days, the ground was too frozen to bury bodies in the winter, so they were "stored" in this vault built into the side of the hill by the cemetery until the spring thaw.
