I had occasion recently to visit the area where I grew up and stop by a distant relative's house who I hadn't seen since childhood. When he described punching the code into the pad to open the gate, and then drive a half mile up to the house with the white car I assumed he lived in a gated community...

D-Day Survivor

This is my 94 year old Father-in-Law. He is a decorated World War II vet who actually landed at Omaha Beach on D-Day. He was wounded twice. Once on D-Day, and once later walking across France into Germany.
