I found it by chance and I'm sure this is the one you used but you didn't mention about that in your SBS. I thought it belongs to a photo contest o.O. The image looks quite simple but really effective as a realistic work. Agree with Anna, now you have a bunch of time to make a PHOTO

The only thing I complain now is the Hi-Res is quite pixelated. I really like the color distribution and the composition with an Asian mood, especially the purple planet (or sun, or whatever) attracted my eyes at first sight. With some decorations, it can be used as the game poster . Good luck!

Hmm, maybe you misunderstood . I didn't mention about how much reflection we can see (totally agree with you about that), I wanted to say that the reflected images are not correct. I guess that you just flipped vertically the candles and skull for the reflection but actually the reflection would show what you see if you were at the bottom of the objects. Only when the object makes the slope of 45 degree to the surface, the images will be identical. Sorry that I didn't make it clear from the first comment.

It's nice that you drew that but the source is not needed for that work. The only uniqueness of this source is the shape (even though it's simple), but you distorted that, so it's not different from not using the source.

I don't see the old photo effect can help your work. Despite of that, this is still an excellent entry, you should get the top 3 places if you were able to submit your entry. Good luck, author

Even though I really like your work, there are still some things not very good IMO: the face of the guy on the right of the magician should be less contrasted (the darkest area on his face maybe even darker than the darkest area on the whole image) and the body of the mouse on the right of the image needs to be more defined (looks like only the head is floating). Aside from that, this entry has the top quality .

Since there's no SBS, I guess you used the paint daubs effect on the characters and the cat is a 3-D products, is that right? Even though the result is impressive but there's not much uses of source...

nice entry and the mood is excellent , I suggest to make the ropes "thinner" (let see the rope in this ship: http://tiago82.deviantart.com/art/Ship-103154794) and how it connects the pillars seem not correct (maybe you can add many of them, tightened to one pillar but not the other one, because that's the ghost ship, most of the ropes are supposed to be cut and loose). Nice drawing, but I wonder how you drew the clouds, it looked like brushes to me (or even using a photo) because if you can draw the cloud like that, the hair should be more detail and well done. If you use a brush, please mention it in your SBS, that the way to evaluate your drawing skill accurately.

Author, no camera can take a photo with the blur region like that, I mean that it should be only vertical or horizontal. Also, the light comes from the left (based on the shadow on the ground), but the rope has the reverse shadow on the chest, and from the available shadow on the ground, your man needs some darker shadow underneath. It's a nice work and gud luck to you!
