Ditto CMYK46! The color of the monster works well with the yellow grass, but the man and the sky are too similar, which reduces the focus on the main character. I though that you make the warrior all from the contest source, but still the blending is very well. Just a minor change in the hand of the statue but it's brilliant! I don't know if others have the same though as mine or not, but the hilt of his sword seems too big to be handled IMHO (I know that you keep the right hand, the statue is holding something like a sword, but I think it's not the sword because every sword is fitted to the owner's hand ). You should try using brush with small size (white brush), with scatter effect in the brush option and paint with different density around the area that you should see the water splashes, then the image will become more convincing . Nice idea! Good luck

My favorite theme, and you did it justice, and I like the animated SBS as well. Just my opinion, the pose is not really natural, such as the left knee and the right knee should be in different directions (don't take me wrong, author, you know me, right ?). I'm thinking about collaborating with you in making some sci-fi battles, that would be much of fun

Very clean and convincing image, I like how you applied the color tone, too. One nitpick is about the shadow. It's easy to be fooled by the source image that the light comes from the left side because we can see something like the shadow of the fence just next to it, but I analyzed this image quite carefully and realized that there is no dominant direct light in this source, the dark area on the bridge is just the one people didn't walk on, so it's darker than the one in the middle of the bridge (the same thing to the opposite side of the bridge). I would say there is no problem with the light if I didn't see the source . However, what I suggest is not reducing this shadow, just amplifying what you have done by darkening the dark side of the fence, especially around the bottom part. All in all, it's just the nitpick IMO, author, the image is still really good

Awesome! I'm not the old PST member but I this is the second time I see that work. Really love how you distorted the characters and make the realistic shadows, the idea is exceptional. One tiny thing is the white stroke around his mouth in the reflection seems shouldn't be there

Very nice construction and quite convincing. I suggest to make the upper part of the "fan" (I don't know how to call it properly in English) brighter then the lower part, because the light reflections on the aircraft is quite strong on other part. Also, blurring the background a bit more will work better for the DOF. One remaining problem is now I know you and for some reason I'm sure it's your work, but you still need the SBS to prove your authority and follow the specific requirement of this contest. Good luck

I didn't have any complain here, the image itself got the high score from me, and more "wow" and compliments are not needed because many people will do that. However, no one's perfect and I just gave my opinion about what can be done better. I'm glad that author received my comments very positively, and if author is the good chopper, he/she will know which part of my comment is reasonable and helpful.
@Dekwid: langstrum came from Pippi Langstrumpf or Pippi Longstocking, a character from the Swedish children's book of Astrid Lindgren. She is very famous with her personality, in many countries. I just like her name when I listened to the song "Hey Pippi Langstrumpf" when I was a child (didn't even know that's girl's name) and I simplified Langstrumpf to Langstrum. I read the book later and in love with this character too, so I keep it as my nickname until now. Thank you for asking

I understand your problem with the face, but we can make the shadow even with the white object. You can achieve that by using a layer with multiply blending setting, then pick the color on her face and select the dark color on the color palette by go down to the right (on the curve from top left to the bottom right). You can draw the shadow on her face by soft, low opacity brush on that layer, it won't disturb anything.
Do you notice the light on the grasses, the sunlight is quite yellow, so you can do the same thing to the kimono and the face. If I were you, I will use a layer with Color blending mode and use the bright yellow color to paint the highlight on the parts which mostly expose to the sun light, so the character will pop out more from the scene.
About the hair, just the brighter brushes on the front side of the hair are needed, the hair can be dark behind her.
Great to see the quick update and the image now is much improved.

Never seen anything like that in Pxleyes. Very gorgeous and dynamic in both the pose and color. Even though the character looks painterly, still works quite well with the background. Lighting effect can be better, tho, if you work a bit more on the character like casting more highlight and shadow on the face (the face and hair are the two most flat parts) and costume. The hair can be more real if you combine brushes with different brightnesses. Very high mark from me!

You could find a real face and distort it. That's better because the skin on the face now is not fitted to the real body (but the eyes, nose and mouth are good). Also, her "decorations" could be replaced by the real things, it will be much more convincing. Still a good entry and eye catching, good luck
