Very nice and colorful . I just afraid that maybe the man's shadow is wrong. Take a look on his shoulders you can see that the highlight is equal on both the shoulders, so that means the light on the two sides is similar --> his shadow should be right behind him, not the side shadow as in your image. If I were mod, I wouldn't remove this entry. Normally I just look into the SBS in the case the entry looked very strange and professionally done, especially after voting, it revealed the author just registered by the time of submitting that work and didn't have any other activity. That's the normal suspect for art thieves. But, in your case, we don't have to doubt about that and you have an acceptable reason for lacking the SBS. Here we have the greatest entry in this contest so far and it's the shame to remove it.

Author, dollmummy is right about the stock, it's the premade one for sure (the blending of the cloud and the scene is not good, that's from a sky image). But I don't agree that you just base on the this background. You used the non-manipulated part of the source and add the other sources to make your current background and you did a good job. However, rule is rule, the background source can't be used. I think the best way is finding the alternative background and email the author to ask him whether you can get the original background or not.

Wise choice of band name and nice arrangement, but the where is the light source? As I notice, the shadow on the sofa (near the center of the image) is the original shadow, so the light should come from the right side and a bit behind the sofa (you could make a lamp or something like that to be a light source). Base on that, the shadows behind the sofa and chair are not correct, they should be on the left of the objects. Also, since the light is not strong, the shadow inside that room is not that dark, just 70% of the darkness level you use is ok IMO. Good luck!

Quite good blending and interesting idea. My nitpicks are the light comes mostly from left sides and a bit from right side based on the body (that's not direct light), but on the face the light comes from the right side, so you should adjust the light on his face to be more uniform (increase the light from the left side). Also, the eyebrows are white but the hair is still dark (maybe it's still acceptable since he can colorize his hair lol). The last thing is the stroke around the body and face is still visible in Hi-Res, you need to clean it more (make some hair for him, so the head won't look like cut and paste). PS: if you're able to make the folds on his body skin as the one on his face, that will be great!

This girl has appeared so many times in Pxleyes . You could do the cleaning on the edge of the gate, some remaining parts of the source are still visible (white and black dots) and make these edges smoother a bit (now they are too sharp). Nice mood and imagination, tho. Good luck!

I do agree with above comments . You could erase more on top of her hair and around some buildings, the dark stroke on her hair is still visible and the white halo around the building can be seen in the Hi-Res. Also, making some painted hair on her should be nice . It is the best so far, good luck!

I see the idea behind this image, even though it's not eye catching. I have few suggestions, maybe they are helpful to you:
(1) the use of blending options in this kind of work normally don't make the nice effect (shadow, glowing, etc.), because they looks very artificial and they add the uniform effect on the whole layer. You can do the same thing by brush (that's the way I always prefer to do), if you have a tablet, that'll be great.
(2) I saw that you use the brush to colorize the eyes, but we still see the rough edges of the brushes. I suggest to use the low opacity, low flow brush, so each click of your mouse doesn't make noticeable effect on the image. With that setting, you can control the intensity of the color easily and it's like you're painting, just cost you a bit more time to repeat the action.
(3) to make the glowing dusts, you can use the scatter setting in the brush setting. Notice that to make the nice glowing effect, just choose the Range of 100%, so the light from the object will be gradually reduced from the center to the out side.

One of your best . The anatomy of this creature is just awesome! I suggest to do a bit more lighting, especially the side highlight, and darken the center part of the creature (which should be in the shadow area), so it will look more 3D. At least you should use different source compared to the tutorial to create that. It's not practice, that's copying, no creativity is seen here, not mention that the image of the given source looks like cut and paste

I do think that we can make an exception here because in fact this effect doesn't contribute much to the result, and it's just visible in the hi-res. This piece of art is deserved to stay. Also, thank you for introducing this painting, I don't know it, what a beautiful work.

Very good remake version, but I do agree with Waz about the composition. Also, I'm curious about one thing: how can you make the noise effect on the image if not using the filter? This noise is very uniform on each layer you made, but different from the girl to the background.

I just wish you don't make the sharp edges around the girl, it makes she looked like a paper cut. Other than that, the center part of the painting was done well. Good luck, author!

Welcome back buddy . You did a good job on the rendition but I think the feather can be done better by smaller brush size of smudge tool, and the size of the bird a bit smaller will be better for the composition. Also, a more blurry background is better for the main focus of the image.Good luck !!
PS: I think you should check the second link, it doesn't lead to anywhere, at least with me, and the background looks like a pre-manipulated image because the mountain is similar to a 3D image.
