Those are some great personal photo's BTW. Good way to combine them, into a children's book.
(5 years and 2507 days ago)I can see some improvement around the mane, looking better.
(5 years and 2507 days ago)Not bad at all. For the most part you've blended this well, with convincing results. You might want to tweak that blending around the horses head and mane. Maybe lighten the area around the hair some.
(5 years and 2507 days ago)Very good work.
(5 years and 2509 days ago)Great shot of that Curtiss P-40 Warhawk.
(5 years and 2509 days ago)Looks pretty cool but you need to find a 3rd species.
(5 years and 2509 days ago)Cool work, nice card.
(5 years and 2509 days ago)Author, I like where you are headed with this. The composition shows promise aside from what I see as a disparity with the scale of the deer vs. that hut.
(5 years and 2510 days ago)As JamesD has stated, there is a problem with the lighting. If you still have your work saved as a PSD ...in the unflattened mode, try flipping the B/G sky layer horizontally. That may correct the direction of the light enough too make this work.
You can edit this entry by going to the "MY Stuff" menu bar across the top of page, there you will see the drop down menu "my contest entries" that's the place which allows you to make changes or edits. I'll withhold my vote untill later. Good luck.
Okay then....whatever you say man.
(5 years and 2510 days ago)It looks as if you have tweaked the shadow since my first observation, for the better I might say. At least you made some shadow...lol
(5 years and 2511 days ago)I think what was/is bugging me is the color of the shadow. The shadow area where the wing joins the body on the right side at the rear just beneath the wing itself, could use some attention IMO. (noticeable in the high res)
I like the chop itself and your concept. You've done a commendable job blending the wings and tail, Good luck author.
Nice recovery on the shadow over the foot. Maybe it's me but there sure seems to be some noticeable differences in the man made shadows vs. the original. Especially on the white wall.
(5 years and 2511 days ago)Pretty cool idea, not a bad job at all. If I could make one observation, that would be about the shadows of it's wings. Maybe lower their opacity slightly would help. Also you might add some wing shadow to the left foot of your frog.
(5 years and 2511 days ago)Nice idea, perhaps you still have time too soften the masking of the fur around the face...(try a layer mask soft brush.) Maybe a fine smudge bush on the fur line at the face also.
(5 years and 2519 days ago)Lookin' good!
(5 years and 2522 days ago)Great picture.
(5 years and 2523 days ago)Beautiful.
(5 years and 2523 days ago)A real nice "puppet master"...great work.
(5 years and 2526 days ago)Quite the puppet.
(5 years and 2526 days ago)Nice work, well done.
(5 years and 2530 days ago)Excellent work!
(5 years and 2554 days ago)Good concept, nice removal of that tree and blending the hand.
(5 years and 2555 days ago)The toned down Zebra's are an improvement.
(5 years and 2557 days ago)Good idea and source finds. Some hoof prints would make this more convincing, along with some blending work at the point of their contact with the snow. Tweak on the Zebra's shading some too (check the brightness of highlights). Those are my idea's and suggestions, good luck.
(5 years and 2557 days ago)Looking good, nice work.
(5 years and 2559 days ago)Excellent concept!
(5 years and 2563 days ago)I'm with nicecupoftea, very good job!
(5 years and 2563 days ago)Nice job!
(5 years and 2564 days ago)nice work
(5 years and 2582 days ago)the increase in brightness has helped the lighting issue....
(5 years and 2590 days ago)You know I'm lovin' the view here. That Santa's helper is definitely epic.
(5 years and 2590 days ago)Your light and shadow work is amazing, the sense of depth you've created puts this one over the top.
(5 years and 2591 days ago)Nice job on your monster. The bright shininess of the knight seems out of place with the overall lighting though.
(5 years and 2592 days ago)nice work
(5 years and 2592 days ago)Good job, congrats Cheryl!
(5 years and 2594 days ago)Good one, great source finds.
(5 years and 2599 days ago)Cool picture, nice work.
(5 years and 2600 days ago)Nice work
(5 years and 2600 days ago)Great work on that "apparatus," this looks great in high res. lol @elemare's comment....birth control pills would be too late.
(5 years and 2600 days ago)Live hard die "young" and leave a good looking corpse, I always said. Great work!
(5 years and 2602 days ago)Nice job on the hair. The fog and wood texture are well done too.
(5 years and 2606 days ago)Super cool, keep 'em coming.
(5 years and 2625 days ago)Great too see this one take 1st. The lighting on this one was especially well done.
(5 years and 2629 days ago)Excellent work!
(5 years and 2629 days ago)I agree with elemare, nice work all around. Good idea elemare has also, about a hint of sky showing through.
(5 years and 2629 days ago)KUDO's my friend.
(5 years and 2634 days ago)Good work! Yep, he's so ugly his mom prop's him up in a corner and feeds him with a slingshot.
(5 years and 2645 days ago)Fantastic detail.
