You weren't supposed to include the base of the tower which I can clearly see.

I don't know what are you shooting with author but you clould work a little bit with the background & lighting.They are not flatering your subject (imho always).You have some "hot spots" & some "nasty" shadows that doesn't add to the photo.Try to light your subject with a "softer" light source (use a sheet in frond of your light source to diffuse it)The background it's ok (a solid colour surface) but the folds aren't good.Try to use a piece of paper or something.Over all it has alot of potentials to become better(imho again).Hope i helped with this tips (as an amature i try many things my self)

I think I'd have been tempted to PS the graffitti out This picture has great composition and texture to it. One of my favs in this contest.

What eggs. It's a great macro author but off theme! Everyone should know spiders don't care for young. At least to my knowedge. This would have been more convincing if there was at least an egg sack.

and a little more contrast............look out when you compose shots like this, you could have moved a little, and not got the yellow bit at the bottom.

I'm not sure if this is a lizard caring for their young or just two lizards.

this is a fun shot, done in innocence...........we see worse than this on a daily basis all over the place.
