lol wow, didn't think I'd be able to say i feel old at my age but yea, this certainly dates me!
(5 years and 3165 days ago)These are Legos?
(5 years and 3165 days ago)Author is this made of metal?
(5 years and 3166 days ago)I love the processing that you've done here.
(5 years and 3167 days ago)I sooo would have tried to get a shot of the inside of the silo!
(5 years and 3167 days ago)HDR can be a great tool author but there does come a point where an image gets over processed. When you start to see halos like we are seeing here you need to adjust some things.
(5 years and 3167 days ago)Great thinking, a bit of advice though. I would have either taken this at a lower angle or increased the dof, at this angle the dof isn't bad but it could make more of an impact.
(5 years and 3167 days ago)Next time you should use a faster shutter speed to stop the action
(5 years and 3167 days ago)Author, although these objects are symmetric I'm not sure this was the best angle to show that. I'd say it's certainly on theme but in the future you'll get higher votes if you showcase your subject better.
(5 years and 3167 days ago)Are those water drops on a flower! Kyricom is gonna start crying!
(5 years and 3168 days ago)If it were me I'd rotate it 360*
(5 years and 3170 days ago)I agree the lighting here is spectacular! Looks like something out of a futuristic movie. is this actually a parking garage? It's so much cleaner than any garage I've ever seen around here, even the new one
(5 years and 3170 days ago)This one is much better for this contest Author, too bad I already voted 10%
(5 years and 3171 days ago)How is this not symmetric? Slice it in half at the point and the two sides are mirrored.
(5 years and 3171 days ago)Great shot Author! I don't think the noise is really that bad at all. I don't know what software you use but adobe lightroom 3 has an amazing noise reduction option if you ever have noise issues in the future.
(5 years and 3172 days ago)LOL Foot in mouth... my apologies.
(5 years and 3174 days ago)LOL how did this happen?!
(5 years and 3174 days ago)Thanks for the advice! I was just about to build a castle on a mound lol. Nice entry BTW I'm sure that will be a unique one in this contest. P.S. you should try this in HDR just to see how it looks.
(5 years and 3174 days ago)had to do a doubletake, thought this was the contest shot lol. nice job
(5 years and 3174 days ago)distributor cap
(5 years and 3175 days ago)Wow! That is awesome. Lighting is great, idea is phenomenal, I love this. IMO this is the perfect representation of the theme.
(5 years and 3175 days ago)I did this once, so I know exactly what happens, it ain't fun!
(5 years and 3175 days ago)This is GREAT! Of course I'm biased toward B&W but still, the DOF is great, I love the expression on the child's face, the way that mom is crouched down with the little one seems to tell a story. I can almost hear what she's saying, and who can resist saying awwwww to a kid running around in nothing but a diaper
(5 years and 3176 days ago)Wow, this brings me back to my first lighting class, I have almost the exact same picture, only difference is my wine glass is a little taller. Great job.
(5 years and 3178 days ago)These are meteors?
(5 years and 3179 days ago)Beautiful, simply beautiful. What a stunning model and I like our lighting. One thing I'd change though is to lighten the right side of her face, I don't like that her forehead is in shadow. But other than that this is superb.
(5 years and 3180 days ago)How gorgeous, I love the lighting and the soft tones. Fantastic job. Just wish we could see at least part of her face.
(5 years and 3180 days ago)I like this as well, nice composition and the hat sells it. One thing though, you should add just a bit of fill light next time so that the shadow under the eye isn't quite so dark.
(5 years and 3181 days ago)What a great idea!
(5 years and 3181 days ago)Author I guess once again I'm blind... Could you please point out where you see a cat?
(5 years and 3181 days ago)Author you may be right but since this leans more to the yellow side of the hue you will most certainly get a lower vote. You could easily avoid that by adjusting the hue of the yellow channel
(5 years and 3181 days ago)Sweet, another member from Michigan!
(5 years and 3185 days ago)I have to side with the author here, the child seems tiny here. Thus "making something normal seem tiny"
(5 years and 3187 days ago)Absolutely stunning Author I really like this. Although you would have poor Ansel rolling in his grave with your underexposed areas. The whole reason for the zone system was to figure out how to properly expose the scene so you don't have under or over exposure. But since I don't personally agree with his theory I think you shot is superb
(5 years and 3188 days ago)Author, could you please explain to a very unimaginative mind like mine where the face is? Not saying it isn't there but I can't see it
(5 years and 3188 days ago)Very nice capture and idea Author, a couple of things though. I wouldn't crop it so tight, it feels like your losing some of the splash at the top and I keep wanting to scroll down and see the rest of the strawberry. Also you should either straighten the photo or rotate it more but the current angle it's at doesn't work. But again good job on the timing and the idea, and good luck.
(5 years and 3189 days ago)I don't know what the original looked like, but this is very nice.
(5 years and 3193 days ago)Ok Author, you have to share your setup for this! Pretty Please. I've got a pretty good idea but I want to be sure, also I think other members would love to know how this is done
(5 years and 3193 days ago)Congrats! Your first entry and you placed! It took me 2 months to place on here.
(5 years and 3193 days ago)Author I have to completely disagree with you here, after my first time skiing this winter I have to say this is definitely hell on earth! But I have to admit everyone else seemed to be having a blast, so I guess I'm alone on this one. lol.
(5 years and 3194 days ago)Author this is very beautiful, where is this?
(5 years and 3196 days ago)Very nice capture Author.
(5 years and 3197 days ago)Just throw another light on the BG Author, or put a hot light on it and use a lower shutter speed. Put your flash on the arms then the flash will freeze any motion from the arms and the low shutter speed will burn in the bg making it blow out.
(5 years and 3198 days ago)Nice job Author, I think this one is better anyway.
(5 years and 3198 days ago)LOL I can't believe there's actually a wiki entry about it!
(5 years and 3198 days ago)Author, you are supposed to enter a picture of a plane that is flying or landing.
(5 years and 3198 days ago)Nice capture Author, I would brighten this just a bit though, right now it's just a bit drab.
(5 years and 3199 days ago)Very nice I like the flare from the sun.
(5 years and 3199 days ago)Like friiskiwi said, nice action shot. I would perhaps straighten the horizon, play with the curves a bit, and possibly explore a different crop.
(5 years and 3199 days ago)I would leave a bit more on the edges of this, but otherwise it's a great shot.
