Kind of going for the surreal good luck author.

You might be able to improve the image using "Tilt Shift" effect to make a better look of miniaturization to the whole image. There's a zillion tutorials out there for it and this image already has the set up for the effect.

Or just leave it the way it is... just a suggestion

Good image. Two things: It's way too bright & saturated for a night scene, and IMO the shadow could be rotated about 20 degrees counter clockwise to match the light source, which is from the woman's upper right.

I think there are a few problems with lighting and implicitly with the shadows.. see the big rock formation in the lower left corner of the image ? well at the top of this formation there is a shadow that clearly puts your light source somewhere center-right over your image's top margin thus contradicting your choice in moving that cloud formation whose well lit margins indicate that they are concealing another light source of an opposite orientation ( look at the rock on the beach in the source image ). Also taking this into consideration there might be some things to ponder as to who's shadowing who regarding the close vicinity of the castle and ( or on itself ) the rock formation close-by. That's just my two cents regarding tweaking to perfection.. other then that it is a good composition and it had a nice feel to it.

moving the boat more into the image (over the sand bar and closer to the viewer might help).. the boats wake is hitting the horizon in the Hi Res, a bit of a problem.. but Only IMHO good luck and cool image

You've disintegrated the cables holding up the bridge...they just disappear in mid-air. Either get rid of them altogether, or bring them back. Also, the woman needs a decent shadow. It's a good concept...work on it!

Nice composition but you need to add some shadows since they're under the tree.

With all due respect, but , IMHO, this pict. is way out of theme. Though, from what I can see here, up to now, it has garnered the most votes . OK, no skin off my nose, but still, what's weird, is weird, and I am not talking about the image itself either.. Voting-wise, maybe it is high time to ask for some backing from my friends and relatives..

I agree with the "Flazz" about the snapshot and I can see where Captgeo is coming from as far as weirdness. But seriously Flazz, you can come off as a serious arse and a half with comments like that.

I will admit The "Flazz" made some great points in improvement but poorly pointed it out. Amazing how someone can get so worked up about one entry.

Wow.... i really am sorry I started this whole mess. Sorry she cried.. Please tell her it wasn't her that "we" had the question about. Next time you want to enter a contest try to "TAKE" a photo for the contests theme.
Don't search you HDD to find a photo that "fits"the contest.

Well if it came across that way I apologize.... I really thought i was missing something and wanted to give the author the benefit of helping me see it. Now that i have voted...I have seen some of the author's other past entries and really like what i saw. Like i said.... just wanted more to go on. The author's attitude after my first inquiry/post set the tone for the rest of the comments. Maybe i should start using smiley faces, hugs etc.

In all fairness, it didn't come across like that to me captgeo, it sounded a bit mean spirited and with this further comment it seems a bit spiteful.
