I think if that guy wasn't in the picture it wouldn't be as appealing but he gives off such a great contrasting look that makes this stand out nicely.

I also like the lack of colour, it makes the guy stand out so much more against all the white. The colour would just distract you from the man

Have to disagree completely with mossy, the lack of color gives it a nice minimalist feel, if there were color I think it would detract greatly from the overall image.

A bit too bland, a little more color would have helped. Great detail clarity, though.

How were you able to get this photograph? Did you have to sterilize your camera or anything?

These are both nice, but I'm not sure I see any huge difference, or "improvement." Both have musician (one playing, one packing) and both have blurred people going by (one on left, one on right)

How "old" is the original shot? These look like they were shot at basically the same time and you just made a few setting changes...
