Maybe put her further down the beach to match the blur? Keep something in the foreground as the focus. Try and remove the highlights off the face??

Author, you need to work on the shadows a little. The shadow from the girl would follow the contours of what she is laying on, they would not be uniform.

Your idea is very good, but imo, get rid of the cat...it looks as if the cat is like part of the baby...either, add some shadows, around the blanket to show that the cat is under there...baby's feet a bit smaller..and again shadows to blanket by the feet...and on baby's face...Good Luck

Hah I thought about this id remove the drop shadow. the wings need a little more work I know the pen tool is hard i hate it on difficult stuff like that good luck.

Pretty nice, but the shadow around the bird doesn't work. Try duplicating just the wing and positioning it in a pivoting action at low opacity. I think if you are trying to show motion, its the way to go. Good luck!
