Congrats on your first place - love the work on that watch!
(5 years and 3298 days ago)Congrats - very cool work on your sea creature!
(5 years and 3299 days ago)Congrats, dude, very nice work!
(5 years and 3299 days ago)This is truly a magical mushroom image!
(5 years and 3299 days ago)Nice work on this, author, good colors and composition.
(5 years and 3299 days ago)LOL, giraffe is on a stealth mission! Good one, author.
(5 years and 3299 days ago)Excellent job on this one - well blended, and well hidden.
(5 years and 3299 days ago)LOL - Vizcaya! Sneak in and replace the original statue's head with yours - for real - Would make a great addition to the property! I love the way you see things once turned sideways, especially like your steps 5 and 6.
(5 years and 3299 days ago)This is amazing!!!!! So clever and well thought out, and I like how you've chosen to use a monochromatic (sort of) color scheme with silhouettes, keeping the individual images simple since there are so many of them.
(5 years and 3300 days ago)Very creative to change her race, and 'arty' with the camo-colored paint spatters.
(5 years and 3306 days ago)Love your ALF story, and the use of the brightly colored fish is very inventive! Cool transformation work.
(5 years and 3306 days ago)Good title for this, great play on words. Very nice work, author. And yes, I remember the movie FaceOff!
(5 years and 3306 days ago)What a lot of work - fantastic image! Love the eagle's eye.
(5 years and 3307 days ago)This is a very nice use of the source, sweet image. Could use some improvement on removing the background from the tree leaves, tho - here are several tutorials, in fact I've bookmarked it also, at the end of the first one are other examples: http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/photoshop/l/blrbps_1jet.htm .
(5 years and 3307 days ago)Fantastic work here, author!
(5 years and 3307 days ago)Very nice image, appropriate title. Interesting addition of the tower, and better placement off to the side.
(5 years and 3307 days ago)Agree with Arca - red, black and white - and a great technique to show the colors. Wish there was an sbs, but I'm sure the technique is easy, noise and contrast, right in the ps program. Great job, author.
(5 years and 3307 days ago)It's kaleidoscope art! And yes, there is pure black. If you stare at this a few seconds, you may see some very 'interesting' shapes!
(5 years and 3307 days ago)True, there are some issues with varying degrees of sharpness, but overall, I love the whimsy and design of this, very clever use of source, author! Great tree and buildings, would make a wonderful children's book illustration.
(5 years and 3308 days ago)Beautiful work, author! Did you do flower arrangements in your previous life?
(5 years and 3308 days ago)Really nice, moonlight becomes this - nice work.
(5 years and 3308 days ago)Overall I love the setting of this and admire all the work you did. However, the vertical posts and steps of the staircase in the front look odd due to their 'ripples'. It would make more sense to use those as the reflections, and keep the posts more straight. This would be a great place to go hang out if it were real!
(5 years and 3308 days ago)That is one long climb!
(5 years and 3308 days ago)Nice work and details, love the background, the band around the tree to hold the roof and especially the flag! The rough construction of the boards is also cool.
Where did the eye in the moon come from, is there a source missing?
(5 years and 3308 days ago)otherwise, very intereting concept, author - appropriate title.
This is very sweet, creative use of source! I recall that idea of turning the source image upside down suggested to me, too.
(5 years and 3308 days ago)WOW, you have some incredible talent!!! Wish the tail was in the image, it's a cool element. I especially love those brass goggles and the skin texture, great work!
(5 years and 3308 days ago)2 organic items, and 2 inorganic... what's the second organic item?
(5 years and 3308 days ago)Wow, really nice job overall, and great apples!
(5 years and 3308 days ago)Cool image, author, I like your buildings, the dome and use of the source on the other elements. However, the huge piece of the source looks like it was just kind of put into the image, and yes, the shadow is off. (They are so tricky and difficult to get, I know!) See the softness of the shadow from the rocks, and how it's very light - try to match that with the source's shadow - very light and blurred. Also, to 'ground' it, try erasing part of the lower side with a soft eraser, and it will look partially submerged in the sand. As far as the darkness now, it has a nice sci-fi feel.
(5 years and 3317 days ago)Ah, much better, author. Good idea on selection of these images to replace your original, and recoloring them. They also have a little halo around them, mostly on the left unlit side, but big improvement. Now I can see a story from this!
(5 years and 3317 days ago)Author this is interesting, but did you paint the lightning and light beams? They're not mentioned in your sbs, and there is no listing for a brush.
(5 years and 3317 days ago)This is very cool, author, great concept for the main character, love the chair and scepter idea. If you have time, just work on the edges of the small white character to blend into the background a little more. Love that you added purple in this to contrast with the orangey tones of the source.
(5 years and 3318 days ago)Lady Liberty carries the torch in her right hand. It is the dog that should be flipped.
(5 years and 3320 days ago)Why did you flop the statue? Not only is that not correct, I don't think it's right. Good idea, but have to agree with MossyB, try to find an image not symbolic to any particular country. I'll give you a chance and will wait to vote, but not too long.
(5 years and 3320 days ago)the link goes to Page Not Found.
(5 years and 3320 days ago)no hi-res? that always helps, author.
Edit: thank you, author and moderator, the sbs was not posted when I first saw this.
The butterfly's proboscis would be better off erased, but nicely blended otherwise, and good choice of images.
(5 years and 3320 days ago)Great finds on the two sources, well blended. LOL @ erathion, it's 'hat's off'.
(5 years and 3320 days ago)Love the pink legs and tail!
(5 years and 3320 days ago)Very good idea and effort here, author. LOL at your Step2, line 3 - I can so relate!
(5 years and 3321 days ago)Very nice renovation on that shed, and combination of two past source images.
(5 years and 3321 days ago)Cute robo guy, but also very cool background, love the way you made that!
(5 years and 3321 days ago)LOL @erathion's gremlin.
Kind of gross, but it's makin' me smile. Great work on your slug eater, reminds me of a Dr. Seuss Grinch gone mad!
(5 years and 3321 days ago)You did a great job on the axe, it's a shame that the handle isn't shown much in the end image. Sparks maybe could use work, maybe sharpen the blunt ends some, but nice job otherwise.
(5 years and 3321 days ago)I think the base could just use a tiny shadow right underneath it to 'ground' it to the table, but otherwise, very cool job on that anatomy! In your step 5 - I like both versions! There are lots of restaurants that should give those trophies!
(5 years and 3321 days ago)There is quite a bit of work here. I don't know if the extruded pillars is difficult to do or not, but they sure look cool! Interesting materials on the aircraft, too, good work, author.
(5 years and 3321 days ago)I love the way the canon looks in step 9, a shame that some of the effect is lost in the bright daylight. Extra points for humor!
(5 years and 3321 days ago)Very cool ship, and I like that collar - could see that used for Dracula!
(5 years and 3322 days ago)Nice work - I like the long strokes for his feathers!
(5 years and 3322 days ago)Wow, that's a cool poem, and you did really well depicting its message!
(5 years and 3322 days ago)What a cool technique! I think his face could have just a little bit of the sand texture, very light, and a little less on his right shoulder to complete the windblown effect, but overall a great use of the source, very clever.
