This is a WOW for me. Love the lines and curves of the grasses, and the background is well controlled to show the grass off to best advantage. Great shot and use of light.
(5 years and 636 days ago)I really like this image. It is evocative of decay and days gone by. It could almost be the 'skeleton' of an old boat. Would the image have been better if the tops of the posts had been more above or below the horizon? Great sky.
(5 years and 636 days ago)Great fun. Really captures a mood and culture.
(5 years and 636 days ago)Top notch...from POV to monochromatic handling. All is beautiful.
(5 years and 638 days ago)A happy snappy shot!
(5 years and 638 days ago)British sense of humour
(5 years and 638 days ago)Careful with cutting the image in half...remember your horizontal cut rule in photography. I feel had you followed it you would have had a stronger shot, but don't get me wrong....it is a great image.
(5 years and 638 days ago)Takes a photographer to see this and to change it to bw was the way to go. Top notch.
(5 years and 638 days ago)Yes, really nice lead lines on this and I do think your gradients are well done encompassing a wide range. Did you know that there are approximately 256 shades of gray?
(5 years and 638 days ago)I love the soft / hard focus and the B&W
(5 years and 640 days ago)I love the honesty of this image - the women and wrinkles and all ...
(5 years and 640 days ago)Nice shooting angle. Good idea to make it BW.
(5 years and 641 days ago)Oh Zizounai....you are making a groaning joke....and only one other person I know makes groaning jokes and he is from Britain. He always makes jokes and I always groan!
(5 years and 642 days ago)Yes: the foam is blown out by the wind
(5 years and 642 days ago)Nice one again but no blowouts are there?
(5 years and 642 days ago)This is great, but I don't see any blow outs, but it is a good photograph..."seaside".
(5 years and 642 days ago)I liked this one, ought to have done better.....!
(5 years and 649 days ago)I bet you were thinking of "colours are everywhere" contest! Good eyes, nice to fill the frame with lusciousness.
(5 years and 651 days ago)Yes, good eyes. Did you shoot this on A or M? Manual gives you more creative leeway and the exposure can be calibrated to diminish hot spots.
(5 years and 651 days ago)You caught the patterns, the monochrome is well done with broad range of grays, a rather mundane image made better through your post processing thinking.
(5 years and 651 days ago)Nice and sharp, almost looks metallic, very visually dynamic.
(5 years and 652 days ago)I looked at this through hi res and what a difference. It looks much better there.
(5 years and 652 days ago)I like the story that this depicts, it is well taken and fills the frame.
(5 years and 652 days ago)this does look a tad soft on this side of the planet but it sure is different and I like your pov looking straight at it.
(5 years and 652 days ago)Great shot - good story here - love the eyes - action captured in the feet.
(5 years and 658 days ago)Good presentation although I do think there is a tad bit of softness, maybe it was low light conditions and your shutter was slow. BUT I do like this.
(5 years and 658 days ago)Like this one much much better. You will do well.
(5 years and 659 days ago)Oh so British and b.w is great. The fact that they are oblivious to your presence adds a natural feel of two fellas enjoying their friendship over a cuppa. Do you think you might have a wee bit of a tilt to the left with this upload? You might want to straighten that out before the voting starts.
(5 years and 660 days ago)Yes, to b/w for it shows the textural quality well. Somehow your photo feels 'squashed' and for my eyes needs more marginal space all round, but you surely have focused well on the bridge.
(5 years and 660 days ago)Raining hats and I instantly thought of "raining cats and dogs"...LOL The multitude of hats works for me but those shadows cast do draw on our eyes.
(5 years and 660 days ago)YAYAYAYAYAY nice Brian, congrats.
(5 years and 662 days ago)nice image, but would've scored higher if a hat was actually 'dropping'
(5 years and 662 days ago)Congrats Brian
(5 years and 662 days ago)Congrats on 4th Brian
(5 years and 663 days ago)Creative thought went into this one. Nice work.
(5 years and 664 days ago)Good one, good eye, nice colours, just a delightful shot.
(5 years and 664 days ago)Went here but didn't go on this walkabout. Should have....grrrrrr. Nice catch.
(5 years and 664 days ago)Patterns are lovely in this take. Nicely seen and shot.
(5 years and 664 days ago)I've seen this somewhere before and it still looks just as great as before...top notch
(5 years and 664 days ago)Yes, to monochrome and rural....wow this is rural....almost isolation. Good gray zone handling showing skill in photo proccessing and photo manipulation.
(5 years and 664 days ago)Yes to this one as well. NIce and sharp I really like that outcrop of stones there because it gives us the feel of "peeking in" on a scene and whether it is rocks as in this case or grasses I always love that effect. Very nice.
(5 years and 664 days ago)YIKES, I love this. I love "taking a walk with you" feel and how we get pulled into the shot. Also, very lovely are the colours and what a clever composition, you take us into that rule of 3 grid line....ahhh ahahahahah you didn't think we'd notice...excellent.
(5 years and 664 days ago)Shows us the beauty of the land, the vast beauty of the land and you have provided a visual anchor making this a solid photograph that one can enjoy.
(5 years and 664 days ago)Interesting and imaginative take.
(5 years and 666 days ago)Love the juxtaposition of overhang and the distant building. Do you think this shot could use a splash of brightness as it seems a bit flat.
(5 years and 666 days ago)Great angle to this shot.
(5 years and 667 days ago)Nice idea but I can't see enough detail on the statue to get a full feel for what it is a statue of.
(5 years and 667 days ago)Good edit / crop that emphasizes the subject. Well done.
(5 years and 667 days ago)What an interesting shot. Great combination of components here.
(5 years and 667 days ago)Great perspective. Love the colours. Looks very cold. Great composition.
