Hey there congrats, bet you are chuffed!
(5 years and 978 days ago)Those gravestones in the yard look like a cheerleading group! You do have noise in the photo and if you have a denoise filter your shot would benefit. You did not snap this image, you walked around and tried to find the best composition and it shows for that gate frames the photo well, invites us in and therein lies your story. Nice one.
(5 years and 978 days ago)I admire the fact you got so much church into the photo and it is breathtaking. Look on the very L edge of your photo, right on the margin...see that? You have some "debris" leaking into the frame, having pieces of photographic information on the edge like that brings our eyes there and then our brains begin the process of trying to figure out what that could be and before you know it, poof, out we go to the next photograph. You could crop in a touch a be rid of them. I like this church, shows the wealth of this religion.
(5 years and 978 days ago)Ayyyyy caramba, muy bueno! Straight and forward, easy to spot your focal intention. I do think a richer exposure would have worked to enhance this shot. Consider always shooting underexposed because you can bring out detail better rather than right on exposure (did you shoot this in A mode?). You are not allowed to do this on this site but for TOS you could burn in a bit on the rim of the hat!
(5 years and 978 days ago)This handicraft photo has it all. You have good composition with leaving part of the wall there that acts as a story enhancer. Your crouched down to shoot this and considered your POV. You saw what would excite the viewer, those colours and patterns. This is a very strong image both artistically and technically.
(5 years and 978 days ago)The only way to shoot this is to fill the frame, anything else would have been a failure for those patterns are what excite us visually. Good technical handling, exposure , contrast. A most pleasant jumble of colours and patterns.
(5 years and 978 days ago)From to Europe we see these dolls in one shape or another. Well caught in its totality and nice dof with good bokeh. It is too bad you have that hot spot in the upper L hand corner but overall this speaks "arts and crafts".
(5 years and 978 days ago)Beautiful shot. Congratulations!
(5 years and 978 days ago)Congrats on your triple wins
(5 years and 978 days ago)Congrats Brian 1, 2 & 3, well done

It looks very old, do you know anything of the history here?
(5 years and 980 days ago)The bell tower is leaning, would it be a new tower of Pisa?
(5 years and 980 days ago)"way out of order now in todays society"...that is not so because sadly in Thailand these dolls appear readily as do uniforms of Hitler's brown shirts (very sad). You do have a bit of black clipping through their fur but the shot is very good bringing back memories of how backward our society was back then.
(5 years and 980 days ago)I wonder how much this clearly shot and handome fellow costs? Any idea? Good solid photo with savy technical handling of exposure. Like that he is looking out of frame and makes us wonder what has caught his eye.
(5 years and 980 days ago)I cannot help but smile as I review these posts. This is just great but too bad about the hot spots (I do think you know they are there knowing you). Like your sense of humour too, it comes through in your photography.
(5 years and 980 days ago)Ahhh "colours are everywhere" just a happy photo, a tad hot on one spot but the emotive quality is there. sweet.
(5 years and 980 days ago)Top of the shelf. Just a great capture there dear friend, and my favourite letter
(5 years and 980 days ago)Good idea to change to monochrome, more impact. YES thumbs up.
(5 years and 980 days ago)Like this one a lot. Good catch, clear and strong and yes the Letter O...my favourite letter!
(5 years and 980 days ago)Blue and Yellow.you saw that and knew they are two colours that support each other for yellow never looks as yellow as when placed against blue. Your POV is also spot on and the crop and compositional style rocks. Very lovely through and through
(5 years and 980 days ago)your POV is great and makes the image . It is over and above the ordinary. See that grungy bunch of rags at the right side , on the margin, next time take a step to the side to eliminate that. This is what I love about this site, you have to take a photo perfectly right from the gitgo as they don't allow cloning out and stuff like on TOS. I like this one too.
(5 years and 980 days ago)I always enjoy seeing a "human" in images. Ansel Adams once said that no matter how beautiful the photograph, once you put a human into it that is where our eyes go. And so it is with this well taken photograph which is clear, well exposed, sharp and full of story. Nice one.
(5 years and 980 days ago)This is a nice photograph, it makes me want to be there.
(5 years and 980 days ago)The photo leans to the left
(5 years and 980 days ago)High vote. Perfect J and they are not easy to find.
(5 years and 983 days ago)Duckies are so fun. I really appreciate this one.
(5 years and 985 days ago)Terrific American Iron w/really nice patina'd finish.
(5 years and 986 days ago)Well seen! A Top pick for me
Good luck, Author.
9 out of 10 people love chocolate and the tenth one is lying )
(5 years and 987 days ago)Swiss chocolate is the best in the world, don't tell me you didn't have any when traveling through that magical country?
Good idea to keep those people there in the corner as it gives scale to those mountains. I wonder if this shot could use a tad more contrast to give further depth to tonal ranges and it would pop more? This would be a great place to visit and why am I only thinking about chocolate!
(5 years and 987 days ago)A nice clear day, a nice clear shot with diagonal slash of road at bottom and people enjoying the day. Full of story, technically well executed, good entry.
(5 years and 987 days ago)Good idea to change to nice b/w tonal ranges.
(5 years and 987 days ago)Did you check your horizon line? I think you did a spot on job with the colour saturation. The photo is well composed with that sweet little boat to the side. The image is sharp clear and it causes one to say "awwwwwwww" how cute.
(5 years and 988 days ago)Amusement parks are off theme.
(5 years and 988 days ago)Hey, congrats on your win!
(5 years and 991 days ago)All are at the ready and such a colourful piece that delights our eyes. You do have some hot spots showing. Your considered dof works for me with a slight blur of the horse in front and sharpness as we enter into the image.
(5 years and 991 days ago)Hi there. It is her face makeup that steals the show and not her hair. Technically nicely done and a spontaneous image.
(5 years and 992 days ago)I see the British sense of humour with this post. I like that white vignette, good thinking. An engaging image.
(5 years and 992 days ago)Good grief this is good. It certainly speaks of hair and there is not a doubt in anyone's mind that is what you are trying to show. A few forgiveable hot spots on the frame and love his nose (NOT)! A delightful photo that made me laugh.
(5 years and 992 days ago)So this is your car and not the Jags...he he he he. I like the textures shown in this post.
(5 years and 992 days ago)This loathsome looking bug scares me....ooops, it's a car! I do love the emotional pull of your upload, well done save for that white sky which did not cooperate with you on this day of shooting. Sharp and love the POV.
(5 years and 993 days ago)Nice front shot, but you really have to search to find the make/logo
(5 years and 993 days ago)Beautiful shot
(5 years and 993 days ago)So vibrant. Made my current desktop image.
(5 years and 994 days ago)They are always in the ditch...stick to your old jalopy.
(5 years and 994 days ago)Good capture of lines. Your car? ha ?
(5 years and 994 days ago)Simple, yet strong, very nicely cropped and good marginal space all round.
(5 years and 994 days ago)Statue and bicycle together is great thinking!
(5 years and 994 days ago)I feel your pain about the car. I usually get that feeling about power wires.
(5 years and 994 days ago)I find myself wanting to move the standard in front of the second person's face. Good texture on a black and white photo.
