Quite funny. He/she has been doing this awhile.
(5 years and 3150 days ago)Tummy here made me laugh.
(5 years and 3150 days ago)You should do work for the tabloids...they could use someone with your skill. Excellent job!
(5 years and 3150 days ago)Though I respect and agree with DanLundberg's view...I love the fogginess. The simplicity and clarity of this image is really excellent. Great job, author!!
(5 years and 3150 days ago)Really well done and wonderful use of the source image.
(5 years and 3151 days ago)Great idea and really nice composite of sources. Only one small suggestion...perhaps you could soften the edges of the elements in the image and possibly give a bit more shape to the covering of the mermaid.
(5 years and 3151 days ago)Nicely done. I wouldn't change the color intensity...but if it were really in water like this...the color would certainly not be this vibrant. But then again...it's impossible reality, right? Good job, author!
(5 years and 3152 days ago)I really love the concept of this...perhaps if you could soften the edges of the hand and arm shape...it will help.
(5 years and 3152 days ago)Is that a head in the bottle or a reflection? If it's a reflection...maybe back down the opacity a bit. I'm not sure how this is impossible reality...but nice job with the sources.
(5 years and 3152 days ago)Author...thanks so much for the compliment I like this image too. No prob...I like to offer insights that could possibly help...I also welcome advice from others too...I'm always learning from others as well.
I like the sepia feel of this...with all of the texture. Nice job, author!
(5 years and 3152 days ago)This is cool...almost seems more like a launch than a landing...but cool nonetheless.
(5 years and 3152 days ago)Right on theme and very cool idea. Nice job, author!
(5 years and 3153 days ago)Love the mood of this piece. Creative and cool. Thanks for contributing such cool stuff author!
(5 years and 3155 days ago)This is real eye candy. Nice job, author! Saw this and thought I wonder if this is who I think it is....and YEP it is. Love your style!
(5 years and 3155 days ago)I like the recreation of the building in the middle frame along with the end pieces on the lower row. Nice job, author!
(5 years and 3155 days ago)An unusual but really creative use of the source, author! Nice job. Really nice stretch of the imagination. Keep up the great work!
(5 years and 3155 days ago)Powerful image with convincing lighting. Nice job!
(5 years and 3155 days ago)Nice take on the source image. I always like entries that go beyond the obvious and sorta tell a story that is completely different from what you get from the original source.
(5 years and 3155 days ago)Nice job, author. I do think that it would have helped this if the reflection had less visibility the further it got from the figures and more prominent at the base of each. Good job, nonetheless.
(5 years and 3155 days ago)Very well done. Nice job, author!
(5 years and 3155 days ago)Nice dreamy and imaginative image. Hopefully it isn't too late to edit your image. There's a halo of white around the top main sail. See if you can edit that...that's the only thing I see fitting to be changed. Nice job, author!!
(5 years and 3157 days ago)Author...I have a suggestion...you may want to add a shadow to the eel...since it's directly in the path of the light source.
(5 years and 3157 days ago)Twisted...and kind of gross....love it! Nice use of source, author! Hey if you add a few small specular highlight specks to the uvula looking claw arm inside the egg...it might give it a wet look and make it even more creepy. Also...maybe add some noise or grain to the wood showing from the cutout. Great job!
(5 years and 3158 days ago)EDIT: Looks
The 'classic' columns in conjunction with the 'modern' green orb is very intriguing. Gornats has good advice. Try varying up the idea a bit. Maybe make a brighter glow behind the orb and then a larger, less bright glow behind that. Maybe lighten the top portion of the dark doorway a bit with a soft transition to dark. These are merely small ideas. I like what you've done author. Nice first entry!
(5 years and 3158 days ago)Oh yeah! Love it. Very nicely done. The girl IS lost a bit...but that doesn't bother me. Really nice, appealing image. Love the use of color and color restraint on the background.
(5 years and 3158 days ago)Yep Kudos...for doing something completely unusual. Nice job.
(5 years and 3159 days ago)I like the look of this image. With all due respect...I think this is a cool fantasy image...because there's no way those crows would live to pose for this shot on those wires.
(5 years and 3159 days ago)This is a beautiful shot. Agree with spaceranger about the reflection. It would also be really effective if you lowered the opacity of the reflection too. It would give this a more subtle, realistic look to the whole image. Nice job!!
(5 years and 3159 days ago)EDIT: Looks
This is purrrfect. Exactly the type of entry I was thinking that I would see more of in this contest. I like the urban setting with the tigers and colorful foreground flowers...the lighting on her shoulders kind of suggests that there would be more of a highlight on the left tiger's back. If you could brighten that a bit...it would help. Really nice job, author!
(5 years and 3160 days ago)EDIT: No problem, author. Glad I can help. Looks
Nice job, author! I like entries like these that sorta tell a story.
(5 years and 3160 days ago)Yada yada yada...blending is good...yada...well it IS good. So I add to the admirers. Great job!
(5 years and 3160 days ago)I think her expression should evoke a bit more 'surprise' and 'fear'. Funny nonetheless!
(5 years and 3160 days ago)Wish I could see a huge version of this on a wall. Beautifully done, author!
(5 years and 3161 days ago)I like how the tree is struggling to represent color in the sepia looking image. Nice job author!
(5 years and 3161 days ago)Nice idea, author! Maybe put some variation of tone underneath each ship in the water. Maybe somewhat of a reflection...
(5 years and 3161 days ago)Really nice composition. I like your restraint of color. Fitting.
(5 years and 3161 days ago)Great surrealism here...not much of a garden that I can see...but to each his own.
(5 years and 3161 days ago)The X's on the little heads made me chuckle. Nice job.
(5 years and 3161 days ago)Brick wall source is a nice touch. Shadows are cool too. I like that you desaturated the toys to fit the environment. Well done, author!
(5 years and 3161 days ago)Wonderful work! Candle is perfect touch! Perhaps fade out towards the ship more...still be able to see it but less obvious than closer to the candle...does that makes sense?
(5 years and 3161 days ago)Great composition and blending! Love it!
(5 years and 3171 days ago)Disturbing and really well done, author. Too bad you don't have a high res version to view. I'm sad...I like looking at the high res version.
(5 years and 3171 days ago)This is sweet and almost playful looking. I could see this being a huge mural in a primary classroom. Nice job, author!
(5 years and 3171 days ago)Edges seem a bit hard. If you soften the edges it'll really help. Nice job on this, author!!
(5 years and 3171 days ago)This is excellent. The lower half of the front wheel cover looks a bit bright. Just a nitpick...really great job, author!
(5 years and 3171 days ago)I think both culprits will be dead soon...judging from both of them shooting at each other. They have ignored the nice target waiting patiently on the wall.
(5 years and 3172 days ago)I like how you varied the sharpness of the image through the bubbles. Adds nice depth.
(5 years and 3173 days ago)This is really nice, author...do you think you could maybe vary the brightness of the white flowers. I like how you have some blurrier than others...but if you vary the brightness so that they are not all the same...it'll help. Nice job, regardless.
(5 years and 3173 days ago)Great image and just a beautiful composition. That background is killer!
(5 years and 3174 days ago)Truly wonderful detail and really nice use of the source image.
