(5 years and 3823 days ago)The contentenment of the lion is great. Nice choice of animals too. The animals could use just a bit more color adjustment to match their surrounding. What are the black marks on either side of them? The background looks a bit hollow too. Otherwise, nice job!!
(5 years and 3823 days ago)I remember this one! I really like this, author! I think the surrealism is intriguing. I enjoy the bending of logic. To me this reads like a book. The reality is the hand poking thru the backdrop of water...yet holding onto things that only exist in fairy tales. (hence the fairy dust etc.) The exaggerated cathedral adds the almost quirky illustration look. Don't mean to read 'too much' into this...but I like it a lot. My only suggestion is less of the 'rendered cloud filter' look. Perhaps blurring this more.
(5 years and 3824 days ago)I like the outcome of this. Nice color. I could see this in a frame. Speaking of frame...I think I would do without the orange one imho.
(5 years and 3824 days ago)Uh...this is great! Love it. The arrow and gun really change the 'context' of her facial expression. Nice twist...and even better execution!
(5 years and 3824 days ago)Nice idea...agree with CMYK...take your time and get a better available image to use...don't give up. This is really good!
(5 years and 3824 days ago)Would really love to see a high resolution version of this.
(5 years and 3824 days ago)The phlebotomist dream! Good work author! Love it!
(5 years and 3824 days ago)This is what you're like after 40 years of ingesting nothing but fast food. Creative, but repulsive.
(5 years and 3824 days ago)Great, inventive job...author! What is that red bar on the left side?
(5 years and 3824 days ago)Nice composition. Sweet. Not sure if those puddles are working here. This looks more like a beautiful illustration and I thought the contest rules were to make it look as realistic as possible. Like a capture.
(5 years and 3824 days ago)EDIT: Looks great.
A decent background would put this over the top! Or...perhaps a nice shadow. Nice work, author!
(5 years and 3825 days ago)Author, don't give up on this one...try putting that color of the candle on 'overlay' mode and give it a bottom centered 'whiter' light. Good job!
(5 years and 3825 days ago)Nice job, but agree that it needs some shadows to top it off!
(5 years and 3825 days ago)I suppose you won't see this in any KFC ad. Nice work, author!
(5 years and 3825 days ago)Yippee! Change of pace. Nice, creative 'outside' the box thinking!
(5 years and 3825 days ago)Agree with Golem...though well done...I'm not sure it fits the theme of caricature, which relies heavily on exaggerating features.
(5 years and 3825 days ago)Excellent use of source. Extremely repulsive. Extremely well done, author!
(5 years and 3825 days ago)When will she be thrown from the train? Good work, author! The spectacles really work well here!
(5 years and 3825 days ago)I think this would be a bit better without the rendered lighting effect. Nice job!!
(5 years and 3825 days ago)Smooth transitions and the right feel for a caricature. Good job!
(5 years and 3825 days ago)I might not have doubled the hair. I see repetitive hair. Face looks great! If you leave the original hair and keep the face the way you have it...it will be great!
(5 years and 3825 days ago)Looks like a cross between Japanese animation and a Tim Burton film. Good job!!
(5 years and 3825 days ago)Excellent choice of animals and well done...but you have different light sources. Zebra is lit from behind and the Lion from behind. Also, if the lion has that bright of a highlight, you might want to have the ground reflect that too. Just some suggestions. It's really funny.
(5 years and 3825 days ago)Thank goodness for RGB colorspace. Nice job!
(5 years and 3825 days ago)Inventive use of images together!
(5 years and 3825 days ago)Agree with magicsteve...perhaps tone down the saturation of the yellow. Minus some yellow in yellows in selective color. This might help.
(5 years and 3825 days ago)Cute and well done! But why is the police tape not causing a shadow in the light path?
(5 years and 3825 days ago)Cool source usage here! Creative.
(5 years and 3825 days ago)Nicely done. Like the expressions...especially the victim. Perhaps if you tweaked the shadows so that they weren't so soft and uniform, it would really help this image.
(5 years and 3825 days ago)Can you imagine carrying groceries up that damn hill? Good job, author!
(5 years and 3826 days ago)Cute and clever at the same time.
(5 years and 3826 days ago)Excellent. Glad it's black and white. Nice work!
(5 years and 3826 days ago)Nice blend, cool idea. The bottom left and right seem a bit too warped. If you could pull them out to match more of the neck shape...it might help.
(5 years and 3826 days ago)Nice work and great result! Like the transformation!
(5 years and 3826 days ago)Really nice image with all elements together, but there are two different light sources...maybe darken the right side of car a bit.
(5 years and 3826 days ago)Nice imagination! I think some variation in density in the shadows would help..maybe lighten the left side of shadow.. Great job!
(5 years and 3826 days ago)Since babies aren't born swimmers...I would take this as a tragedy.
(5 years and 3826 days ago)Very nicely done. Great SBS too!
(5 years and 3826 days ago)Was starting to go thru 'Robot' withdrawal...whew...thank goodness...one is here. Agree with Akassa...background needs to be blurred or more non-descript.
(5 years and 3826 days ago)Nice result and beautiful image, but almost seems as if this could have used any source for this purpose. Well done and I really like the lighting you created on the planet.
(5 years and 3826 days ago)I actually like the cheeriness of the dino's face. Gives the image sort of some dark humor. Well done, author!
(5 years and 3826 days ago)Colorful and zippy. Your inspirations to do artwork with music in mind is innovative and interesting. Gives the work a nice direction. The original song is far better than James Taylor's yawn version.
(5 years and 3826 days ago)Detail and shadows along with color chosen are all great! Nice work.
