Looking at your SBS...I'm really liking the coloring you chose to go with on your final image. Nice job!
(5 years and 2856 days ago)Really like your interpretation of the source image. Love how you incorporated the shape in a different way. I like your thinking author!
(5 years and 2856 days ago)Disturbing and eerie! In a good way! Did I say that?
(5 years and 2856 days ago)Really love the overall look of this image author! Take CMYK's advice and it'll make this even better than it already is!
(5 years and 2856 days ago)Love it! I guessed it was you! Author, just a suggestion...perhaps lighten the blood drops luminosity where the face is brightest...it might give a bit more variation to the blood. I noticed you've done that where the blood is on the nose. It's really just a small nitpick. Obviously, your call. Really disturbing and very well done!
(5 years and 2856 days ago)Nice use of the source image author!
(5 years and 2856 days ago)Beautiful creation, author! This lighting direction is always tricky, since it's basically backlit from the sun behind...you'd think that the front of the entire dragon would be darker...but that being said...I like it the way it is. I want to be able to see it the way you've depicted, not the way it probably 'would be'. Nice job! Agreed that it is up there with some of your best!
(5 years and 2856 days ago)Beautifully done. I'm really, really liking the background a lot!
(5 years and 2856 days ago)Wish there was a description to this intriguing, well done image!
(5 years and 2856 days ago)This is creative and cute! Well done, author...I do notice some 'haloing' around the hands. Perhaps fix up those and maybe soften some of the overall edges. Again...nice job!
(5 years and 2858 days ago)I personally LOVE O.O.B. imaging...so naturally this intrigues me. Nice job, author! I actually really like the white space...it allows the focus to really happen where you want it.
(5 years and 2858 days ago)I like what you've done, author! Really love the lights and color too.
(5 years and 2860 days ago)Yeah baby! Creepy and really well done! Love your work, author!!!
(5 years and 2860 days ago)Yep...this is really cool. Love the style and image overall. My only suggestion to you is that you perhaps change the top lips a bit in shape and brightness. Perhaps darken the top lips since they are further away. Maybe blur them more to create depth of field. Maybe you could distort/warp them slightly to look less like the same lips copied and pasted. Ya know? These are just suggestions to possibly create depth and improve. I really like what you've done, author! Really nice work.
(5 years and 2861 days ago)EDIT: Lookin' great!
Really nice, artistic job, author! Really love the flow and color on the blackest of backgrounds!
(5 years and 2861 days ago)This is a beautiful image...author! Yeah...I would subdue that brightness in the water considerably. Kind of what CMYK and Nator have said...that is the only thing I would change. It's great!
(5 years and 2861 days ago)I really like your idea and the image itself is really well done. Just a few suggestions for you...perhaps if you could dodge some of the newly added blades of foliage in front of the hippo to vary the luminosity...giving some highlights etc. This would help keep them looking the same and sorta flat. Also...there's a visible hard line edge of the hippo's neck that can be seen...maybe cover that up or brush it out. If you could also possibly remove the real soft fringe around the front of hippo...it's a bit distracting and doesn't really need to be there. Sorry to nitpick...trying to help.
(5 years and 2862 days ago)Nice job, author! Really appealing composition of the sources you used. I had the same question about the knight piece in back. Perhaps make it more recognizable somehow...
(5 years and 2863 days ago)The varying colors of the dice look very appealing in contrast with the stark orange feeling of the entire shot. NIce job, author!
(5 years and 2863 days ago)Interesting in an unusual surreal kind of way. Perhaps this is why I like this so much. Personally, I think if you softly mask away the reflection a little sooner, in other words, don't have it appear all the way to the bottom of the image, it won't detract my attention from the main pieces so much.
(5 years and 2863 days ago)EDIT: Looks awesome, author! Glad to help.
I really like the overall look of this author! The color and idea make for a really nice composition. What bjaockx might be referring to is the masking of the main chess piece. The upper left area side is a hard edge, but the rest of it seems really, really soft. If you perhaps make the soft edges a bit less soft and slightly soften the area mentioned...it might help. You've done well with this and would love to see those changes which undoubtedly would improve it...especially when viewed high res. GL author!
(5 years and 2863 days ago)EDIT: Looks
I like this image, author! This image is actually far prettier and imaginative than what the makers of CandyLand have revamped. In the 60s, the game had beautiful illustrations and color with imaginative settings. They have dummied it down since and it looks awful to me. Even changed some of the cool candy location names on the board itself. Very disappointing. Anyway, your vision is beautiful and well done.
(5 years and 2863 days ago)Agree with bjaockx...I like your approach to this contest author! Nice job!
(5 years and 2863 days ago)You're on a roll author! I like the lighting you did to the astronaut to fit the surrounding environment. Nice job!
(5 years and 2863 days ago)The humor alone is worth a great vote. It almost looks as if the cigar is coming out of picture at that angle. Nice job.
(5 years and 2863 days ago)This is a really nice composition. Kinda wish the edges were a little bit less sharp and a bit softer. Great job, author!
(5 years and 2864 days ago)Excellent execution of a cool imaginative image. Really like this!
(5 years and 2864 days ago)I really like this image. Nice source finds and really nice imagination.
(5 years and 2864 days ago)I like that you tore this idea away from the original source and did something different with it.
(5 years and 2864 days ago)Sad, raw and real. Nice job author!
(5 years and 2868 days ago)Gotta love and miss Shel. Nice job author!
(5 years and 2868 days ago)Great job! Like the poem and image you've created.
(5 years and 2868 days ago)I like your message.
(5 years and 2868 days ago)Really like the feel, lighting and color of this entry! I love how the woman appears to feel quite used to this routine. Nice touch!
(5 years and 2868 days ago)Striking and pleasing color combinations. Great job, author!
(5 years and 2868 days ago)I like your thinking here, author! Cool job!
(5 years and 2868 days ago)Nice job, author! You've done well. There's a peculiar dark outline around the mermaid's left arm near the lightning. Get rid of that and soften the edge and you'll pic will rock even more than it does now!
(5 years and 2868 days ago)Peaceful and pretty. I'm not too surprised author! Nice work, author!
(5 years and 2868 days ago)Nice work and beautiful image. I kinda wish the bottom areas weren't so 'liquified' looking but it doesn't detract from the nice work you've done!
(5 years and 2868 days ago)This is beautiful and beautifully done too.
(5 years and 2870 days ago)Really beautiful. Would love to see this as a huge poster. Awesome job, author!
(5 years and 2870 days ago)Keep up the great work, author! Really like your imagination and attention to detail.
(5 years and 2870 days ago)Nice, unusual and well done. Great color and imagination.
(5 years and 2870 days ago)Really nice job, author. Great mood. I think I'd prefer seeing the female figure lightened up a bit more...but that's just my personal pref.
(5 years and 2870 days ago)People should check out the hires before voting. It's really a treat at high res. Nice work as usual author!
(5 years and 2870 days ago)I too would love to see a high res version. I'm a big fan of this half underwater type image. Nice job.
(5 years and 2870 days ago)Nice work author. The mermaid part feels a bit lacking in shape.
(5 years and 2870 days ago)I like the shadow treatment author.
(5 years and 2870 days ago)Love the muted color and foliage. Its really nicely done, author!
(5 years and 2870 days ago)I really like the mood of this image. Really like the black and white choice too.
