Brilliant editing.. the model looks fantastic and the background is magical Great job!
(5 years and 3244 days ago)Great job blending the water into the image! Seamless
(5 years and 3244 days ago)This worked surprisingly well considering the image.. really good work
(5 years and 3244 days ago)Congrats Bob!!
(5 years and 3245 days ago)Brilliant work! An extremely realistic render
(5 years and 3247 days ago)Very original!
(5 years and 3247 days ago)The edges of the smoke are very sharp at the moment, maybe feather the edges or go around it with a soft eraser at a low opacity.
(5 years and 3247 days ago)The idea is a good one, but the depth of field is too shallow on the background image to make a convincing blend.
(5 years and 3247 days ago)Sweet and simple, but most of all - convincing
(5 years and 3247 days ago)I would've thought that some of the branches on the back tree would be in front of the fountain, but other than that i like the image Good luck.
...can i hug you?
(5 years and 3248 days ago)Let's face it.. about half of those are mine :P
(5 years and 3248 days ago)Reminds me a lot of Picasso's 'Las Meninas'
Very nice render!
(5 years and 3249 days ago)I would remove the yellow edges from the stars
(5 years and 3249 days ago)Interesting approach to the theme.. good luck!
(5 years and 3249 days ago)The atmosphere of the image is great, but this is a problem that i thought would arise because of the given source.. the crosses could've been made with two rectangular selections and that's it.
(5 years and 3249 days ago)Still, good creativity, good atmosphere and a very good 3D render.
Haha, brilliant concept!
(5 years and 3249 days ago)The armor looks great! Very well drawn
(5 years and 3249 days ago)Still one of my favourite movies.. and this is a fantastic inspired image
(5 years and 3250 days ago)The idea is hilarious and the execution is near perfect! All i could recommend is maybe lowering the opacity that 'Hef' is casting, it's a lot darker compared to the shadows being cast by the dolls.
(5 years and 3250 days ago)Great job!
A fantastic explosion of colour.. it's awesome!
(5 years and 3250 days ago)Well then i might suggest simply changing the background. In my opinion it would improve the image dramatically if the source didn't look so 2-dimensional.
(5 years and 3250 days ago)Was the vertical warping an aesthetic choice? If it wasn't, remember to hold the shift key while resizing to maintain proportions.
(5 years and 3250 days ago)Edit: Ahh, alright Very creative use of your own sources.. and a very convincing blend! Good luck
An absolutely BRILLIANT use of a terrible source. Fantastic work, author
(5 years and 3250 days ago)I personally would've removed the ring, but other than that it's a good surrealistic image.
(5 years and 3250 days ago)A good idea, despite a similar image already being in the contest. I agree with Dan about the uppermost starfish being above the waterline even though it has been clearly warped. Other than that it looks good Good attention to lights and shadows too.
(5 years and 3250 days ago)Really nice artistic vision and nice composition. However, is it a door or is it light coming through an open doorway? If it's a door i wouldn't expect a trail of light to be flooding out onto the floor, and if it's light then i'd suggest working more on the colour.
(5 years and 3250 days ago)An interesting image with a lot of imagination, but i don't really agree with your choice of how you transformed the starfish itself. The source lost a lot of depth, and in high res it looks over-warped. I'd suggest either shading the starfish with the dodge and burn tools to give it a bit more depth, or simply adding the source again, but this time without the flattening.
(5 years and 3250 days ago)I just keep coming back to this image.. despite having voted for it quite a while ago.. i just can't keep away. It's a fantastic inspired piece and would look great in a nice frame in my living room.
(5 years and 3250 days ago)I love it. I love the concept, i love the execution and i love the title. Really well done author
(5 years and 3250 days ago)Great work! Very 'clean' Shadows and lights are perfect! Good luck
(5 years and 3256 days ago)One of the best uses of Bevel/Emboss that i've seen, well done
(5 years and 3258 days ago)Congraaaaaaaaats!!! Brilliant as always
(5 years and 3259 days ago)It looks like the arm starts to fade towards the bottom, is that effect intentional? The arm also has some visible white edges, especially as it gets closer to the globe. Good luck
(5 years and 3263 days ago)Very intelligent use of source. Great job!
(5 years and 3263 days ago)Very subtle! This embodies the theme very well. Good luck.
(5 years and 3263 days ago)I'm not a big fan of the outer glow surrounding the planet, but good job otherwise
(5 years and 3263 days ago)I personally would've used a more feminine hand to create a sense of softness, but you did a brilliant job here. The vines looks great and the background is well crafted. Good luck
(5 years and 3263 days ago)Stunning work. Just.. beautiful.
(5 years and 3269 days ago)Clever, moody and beautiful. Wonderful work, Author.
(5 years and 3270 days ago)Very original! At least it's not floating in the sky with a waterfall dripping down
(5 years and 3271 days ago)Well done
Congratulations madame
(5 years and 3272 days ago)Superb manipulation
(5 years and 3272 days ago)I love it when a tutorial is adapted in a different way Very clever author! Nice work.
(5 years and 3273 days ago)Edit:
Expressing your opinion in the form of a sarcastic question is not the way you should do it.. I understand some entries don't appeal to you, and maybe you should show that via the way you vote and not the way you comment.
(5 years and 3273 days ago)"Are you kidding me?" Doesn't help anyone solve a problem.
I just don;t understand what the hostility is all about..
(5 years and 3275 days ago)Author, the image is visually pretty simple. That doesn't mean anything. I've seen very simple art get high marks. As a matter of fact this wouldn't look half bad as a desktop background, but the reason for the comments is because of the similarity to the original source.
You do have to remember that this is a contest website, and even though the image looks good in my eyes, you have to ask yourself how it would fare in a competition.
Again, there is no reason for the hostility. And i like the image you created. Aesthetically it's very vibrant and reminds me of light painting at low shutter speeds in photography. Good luck
Her elbows look a bit awkward to me. The shadows are a bit too grey and don't match the shadows around the rest of the body (such as the underarms). I know it's too late now, but if you wanted to just for the heck of it, you could try experimenting with blend modes such as soft light or overlay at a lower opacity.
(5 years and 3275 days ago)Good luck and good humour
EDIT:
I did look at the source Author, and that's how i noticed the grey and flat looking elbows.
I disagree.. every element ties together beautifully. Wonderful image author
(5 years and 3275 days ago)Next time, i suggest working at a larger resolution. The edges are pixelated and jagged, and they are a real distraction.
(5 years and 3279 days ago)Moody and evocative. This is simplistic art at its best!
(5 years and 3279 days ago)Great rain effects
(5 years and 3280 days ago)
