The light from the sky is coming from the right, the hat and the girl are lit from the left. But other than that it's hard to find a fault.. Very nice masking and a very creative idea..

The top of her head seems very blurry compared to the rest of the clear and crisp strands of hair.

At the moment, her head shape also seems a bit odd, i suggest liquifying the top left part of her head and moving it further up.

I hope you understand what i mean, but other than that it's a really nice image with a good message, and i love the surrealistic aspect of it. Great job and good luck.

I'm not sure i understand this entry or how the colour theme fits with the image...

You may want to darken the right hand side of the door, right now the white is a tad overpowering. Also see if you can upload a step by step guide.

I agree author, it's a nice idea but the image should focus on the sand and not the fibres around it. Maybe taking another picture of the same subject would be the best idea.

Great job author! However, on the foot that touches the ground by the reflection there is a hard edge, maybe you can liquify it into a more rounded shape... good luck! Oh... and clean your scanner.

Using only three legs is a clever idea, but at the moment it looks like the leg is on his left side, which suggests that he's missing a leg instead of being naturally 'compact' The leg should appear to be in the middle, between where the two legs would be. That, of course, is quite a complicated thing to achieve, so maybe the original 4 leg design or a 2 leg design, that way the anatomy doesn't look odd. I also agree with the above, play around with the shadows until you can get a more realistic outcome.

Nice scenery, but i'd remove the white cube underneath the model, and i also suggest making the frog and snail a little smaller. Other than that, it's a good image with a nice atmosphere. Good luck!

Author, while i think the idea is great, i feel that the image would be stronger if it was just what can be seen in the thought bubble. I think taht the rest of the image is a bit distracting and won't earn you the marks that the image deserves. Of course, this is your image, this was onlt a suggestion. Best of luck

You've blended both segments of the lizard very well.. the background looks great, the shadows are perfect.. This is my favourite entry in the contest, and one of the better entries i've seen for quite some time.

I agree author, you may have meant for it to be for fun but it just looks like something you overlooked.. if you made an effort to make both reflections wrong then others may understand, however i suggest just fixing the compact swan's reflection.

Author, your entry looks like it has a few masking issues.. if you post a high resolution version these would be easier to see and you could try to fix them.

I think this gave my diabetes... how sweet.

Author watch out for black edges around the hand, also the lighting between the hat and the cat don't match (flip the cat horizontally) And maybe try to paint the whiskers that were lost during masking back in.

Wonderful creations! The bird looks terrific! My suggestion would be to add a dark shadow on a new layer just below the feet. Well done though... great image.

Nice atmosphere. I personally don't think that the floating hat is very effective here, but i guess that's the whole idea. However, you've blended the images very well.

Edit: On closer look, the lighting between the hat and the tree doesn't match.. just flip the hat horizontally.

Very clean work! The eyes were blended really well, and i like the idea. Erikuri also makes a good suggestion, the brain suckers may look a bit creepier if they were looking in different directions.

Excellent work... it was a difficult source to work with, but you've blended everything very well. The only thing i can pick out is the differing resolutions between some of the sources. Other than that it's an excellent image.
