(5 years and 3295 days ago)what great grandparents you are.
(5 years and 3295 days ago)Haven't seen the old version, but these one looks good, I like it cause it's simple, yet not plain.
(5 years and 3297 days ago)I love the contrast.
(5 years and 3297 days ago)awesome angle on this one author!
(5 years and 3299 days ago)I kinda like the darkness of it. It's like the max contrast deal.
(5 years and 3299 days ago)oh cool it does...good eye kyricom
(5 years and 3301 days ago)It almost looks like sheet music.
(5 years and 3302 days ago)nice, but a little dark
(5 years and 3302 days ago)I think for all of us there has been a moment of "I give up" either due to criticism or for having shots eliminated even when you think they are on topic.
(5 years and 3308 days ago)I think one of the main (and most interesting) characteristics of this site is that they put together people from different places with very different personalities. The common denominator is the hobby or passion of taking photos. We all have something in common so.... we cannot be that bad...
You'll see, many will help, I have learned many tricks and techniques. Yet it's only a game. If I may suggest, just take the fun part of it.
Author, you do have a good eye for it. Teaching the dumb camera to see things the way you do can be frustrating. Don't give up, or let the "critique" get you down.
(5 years and 3309 days ago)I am just learning myself, so my advise may not be the best, but I would be glad to help in any way I can...Maybe we can help each other learn. Might be fun.
Enjoy your vacation and feel free to write me when you get back. Tomas
Hey author...have a Great vacation!!!! Take lots of photos and enjoy yourself!
(5 years and 3310 days ago)You have a good eye, only listen to the good. There are just as many good people on here. I understand were you are coming from regarding the "negative comments", this really needs to stop, those of you are giving not only this site but yourselves a bad name.
(5 years and 3310 days ago)I agree with MnM and Mom. I think some people tend to forget that all of us on here are not professional photographers. I am new to photography and learning more and more everyday. I think negative comments should come with positive help. IMO.
(5 years and 3310 days ago)Great comment MnM...I also have been on the end of photos that needed help and had responses that discouraged instead of made me want to try again. Author...do not give up! There are some "brilliant" photographers and artists on this site...I hope each one of them will be patient and help those of us that are new or not as experienced... to get better. Happy New Year!
(5 years and 3310 days ago)I actually like the shot... I agree there are some oof areas but to me it's "almost" there. Try using one area in the bottom right corner as the focus or get closer to the bulk of the necklaces and chose a focal point. Your angle is great!
(5 years and 3310 days ago)I see a lot of negative criticism here with NO advice for improvement but don't let that get you down. I've been there and I just over-look them. Don't feel that it's worth my time to listen to them if they aren't willing to help improve IMO. BUT you do have those that are VERY willing to help you and that will make you a better photographer. You have the eye... I know you do because I can see it.
afraid I have to agree with them
(5 years and 3310 days ago)I see no focus anywhere....it is all blurry, even in the upper center left.
(5 years and 3310 days ago)its a little out of focus author
(5 years and 3311 days ago)how sweet!!!! I wouldn't get rid of it either!
(5 years and 3316 days ago)Cool..
(5 years and 3330 days ago)Soft means it's a little out of focus and I agree. Try using your macro setting when getting this close next time.
(5 years and 3330 days ago)GL!
(5 years and 3330 days ago)lol..hahaha..
(5 years and 3331 days ago)me too.......... as long as I can have one of those young ladies in blue two piece to go with it...........
(5 years and 3332 days ago)cool shot! I wnat one of them schrooms in my yard!!!
(5 years and 3332 days ago)love the smile
(5 years and 3332 days ago)great idea, just a shame it's a little soft.
(5 years and 3332 days ago)I bet he looked great.
(5 years and 3332 days ago)I think I'm in LOVE!!! Send me the address, and I'll leave my wife and kids today! The face that launched a thousand ships! (man, what a good sport!)
(5 years and 3333 days ago)NOW I WANT A SHOT OF THAT!!!!
(5 years and 3333 days ago)LMAO!!! AUTHOR HOSTS A REDLIGHT DISTRICT? LOL hehehehe
(5 years and 3333 days ago)Good and sharp!
(5 years and 3333 days ago)Very cool angle! You must be a country gal!
(5 years and 3333 days ago)Nice!
(5 years and 3333 days ago)Well... that's where the term originated. The "entertaining ladies" often set up their houses near the trainyards (not the best areas in town) and when the trains stopped the brakemen would leave their red lanterns on the porches so the engineers knew not to leave because there were still people being "entertained." So you had a whole series of houses with these red lanterns on the porches, so people knew where the "red light district" was.
(5 years and 3333 days ago)Hi-res must be less than 5MB, and you should just let in load until the green check icon appears.
(5 years and 3333 days ago)Great composition.
(5 years and 3333 days ago)Hrmmmm... left over from a "red light district?"
(5 years and 3333 days ago)better
(5 years and 3333 days ago)What is the resolution of the image you are uploading?
(5 years and 3333 days ago)I still can't stop laughing at this! I wish my husband would get drunk enough that I could do something like this to him!!! NO ONE TELL HIM I SAID THAT!
(5 years and 3333 days ago)Freedom to Drink? Isn't that the 21st Amendment? That better be American beer in that glass!
(5 years and 3334 days ago)a little soft
(5 years and 3334 days ago)Nice shot, but I would have had the swan lower and more to the right, so it's swimming into the frame.
(5 years and 3334 days ago)VERY NICE IDEA... but... watch your Focus. In this picture I would have stepped back and made sure the bottom part was in focus and maybe some of the stem if not all and then cropped it this way. I'm sure there are better ways of getting that but that's all I can think of right now
(5 years and 3334 days ago)I wanted a shot for this! LOL Very sweet shot
(5 years and 3335 days ago)THIS IS AMAZING!!!! Her eyes are just beautiful and such a personality this shows her having!
