NIce idea but IMHO the DOF is to strong, DOF can be great if the paprika's had a nice structure (like say a kiwi) but they don't. My suggestion would be to try again but with a little less DOF, but that's only my opinion

I agree with you author, I liked the image more before it was cropped it did make the image more interesting IMHO

The nitpick: there's a light spot in the neck which should be dark.
The idea: maybe use a displacement map to fold the sky on a curtain? But that's just something which cames to mind, up to you to use it or not. Anyway... I really like this entry

Nice one, the different state and somehow different angles of the same flowers in one photo are good for a stockphoto

Nice, I like it as a photo, as a stock-contest image for PS however it would have been great if the spoon was completely visible and didn't have a bright light reflection on it.

The bullet looks OK as a stock-contest image for PS but the blurry BG is totally useless, also the weird colors would be a turn off

Don't think this will make a great stockphoto and-or contestsuggestion for the PS contests. Those contests require photos which aren't premanipulated (in this case colorshifting), without the premanip it could be though...

I have just one word for this author: "WOW!"

Somehow the perspective is weird, looks like the water has got a dent in the middle, think that's an illusion and it is caused by the curved concrete structure at the bottom and the round surface of Pier 17 which seems to pull and push the watersurface down in the middle (still understand what I mean?).

Maybe it's an idea to curve that structure the other way around (with the highest point in the middle), you can do that by warping it. I'm curious how that will influence the image.

Don't get me wrong author, I like what you are doing here and I'm just speaking my mind. Up to you what to do with it and I can be wrong

Good idea, just add some shadows on the laces and maybe a metal ring around the holes (a small metal colored ring will do and use blending modes > bevel to give it a round edge)
