Very nice image! You could make it more dramatic by adding shadows on the outside of the girl, there's a lightsource on the back which can justify that. And you can use the orb as a lightsource coming from the front which lights the front of the girl. This will attrack more attention to the inside of the image.
(5 years and 3795 days ago)Just a tip
Up until 2/3 from the left the image looks great, the 1/3 on the right has got some perspective problems. It looks like it's bend. The angle on the propellor and the tube on top are wrong. Could be an easy fix.
(5 years and 3796 days ago)You should also post the tutorial you used to make this.
(5 years and 3796 days ago)Nice job! Maybe the colors are a little flat but that would be a personal choise. $10.00 it will be a girl.
(5 years and 3796 days ago)The use of source is OK, the image looks great and I have to agree with Dustfinger; the background of step 7 would have looked much better I think. Anyway: good image and good luck
(5 years and 3796 days ago)Great image but where has the source gone? Your technique is good but really you lost the source in the process which is a shame. Safe this kind of entries for the theme contests or make sure the source is still there. You didn't need this source to make this image.
(5 years and 3796 days ago)Now this one I like! Good use of source, you didn't go overboard with warping, stretching and discoloring. If you can move the right part of the reflection down, looks like the horse is staggering a bit which would mean the reflection would be more down.
(5 years and 3796 days ago)The image looks really great but wondering about the use of source. That aspect is poor in my views; there's hardly anything left of it and you could have used any source to do this image. If it had been a theme contest entry you would have gotten a much higher score and better comment from me.
(5 years and 3796 days ago)Sorry author
Author let me be clear: I wasn't judging your image, just the use of source. You are right about we're here to learn and we all have different tasts. If something like this would have been posted in a theme contest you would have gotten a complete different comment by me Just my personal view, hope you're not offended. Didn't mean to.
(5 years and 3796 days ago)it's simple, it's plain, it's GOOD. The only thing would be the crystalised snowflakes and the wavy snowflakepatterns but those can be corrected very fast and easy by using a small brush, put it on scatter and blur it.
(5 years and 3796 days ago)But you should know how to do it
my problem is: could you have made this with ANY other source? I think the answer is yes and therefor the use of the source is weak. If you've set the brush to scatter there wouldn't be that repetative pattern in the leaves. In other words: not my piece of cake
(5 years and 3796 days ago)Sorry...
Well done, I hate Disney too Nice job on the restore
(5 years and 3796 days ago)Just something on CC author: CC means Creative Commens, those are images you are allowed to use overhere it's the copyrighted sources (©) you can't use
(5 years and 3796 days ago)Nice blending of the cow on the cup, it has the right curve and the shadows look OK too
hmmm I'm a dogperson and really have no connection with cats, but this is... this is... this is.. ooooooooow poor kitty...
(5 years and 3796 days ago)Cant you ppl see it??? It's on the floor, the pattern
(5 years and 3796 days ago)Besides the no source I think you really went overboard on the filters, eventhough it's not a reason to get your image pulled you won't get high scores using just filters... try to put some of your creativity in it
(5 years and 3796 days ago)The source (in this case) is the image on top of the contestpage, the statue of the blue cow. You'll need to use that image in your entry in some way, not inspired on, not as a reference but it needs to be in the image you create.
Think you confuse 'source' with the images you used, yep they are sources too but the blue cow on top HAS to be one of your sources in your image.
You can get rid of the repetitive pattern of the water by selecting a 35% opacity clone brush and clone another part or parts over it once or twice.
(5 years and 3797 days ago)O personally I would flip the boat horizontally, that way it will go with the flow.
Please don't enter the same entry twice even its a revision. Prediction will be this entry will be removed by mods, you'll have to update your first entry eventhough you'll probably will have some lower votes gathered there...
(5 years and 3799 days ago)Try using a displacement map on the holes, that way they'll look more natural. If you pentool the cow and duplicate that layer several times with some nudge on each layer (when done merge those underlying layers and blur them) you'll get a better idea off depth. Just some pointers
(5 years and 3800 days ago)Very good, you might want to correct the sail on the left in the middle: it's got some green shining through.
(5 years and 3800 days ago)I just love the style of the face, very well done!!!
(5 years and 3803 days ago)Alternative title: "when hell freezes over" ... kidding. Nice idea!
(5 years and 3803 days ago)Try adding some shadows in the centre part of the wheel to give it more depth.
(5 years and 3803 days ago)You should post the tutorial you used for this is image don't ya? This underwater scene is used over and over and many of the older members will recognise it at once.
(5 years and 3805 days ago)Superb image Only thing that puts me down is the brown "lightsource". It drops out of style and color to me. On the other hand the games the shadows play, the blueish color... gourgeous!
(5 years and 3807 days ago)just some tips: there's some room for improvement.
(5 years and 3812 days ago)1: some of the text isn't lined correct, which should be an easy fix. Try rotating and skew the text.
2. try using a displacement map on the text to make it follow the rounded tops.
Otherwise: good idea!
Uhm, somehow it reminds me of something....
(5 years and 3812 days ago)LOL.
for © reasons you might want to remove that SL avatar with something not ©
(5 years and 3813 days ago)all I can see is an extra shadow, maybe some explanation will help...
(5 years and 3814 days ago)please include some Bryce screenshots in that SBS, I'd love to know how you did this
(5 years and 3817 days ago)I've seen this one before Think it was at www.polyvore.com? woooohahahhaha. Nice work author
(5 years and 3823 days ago)Very nice Maybe you could move the centre line of the mask a little bit to the left so it follows the centre of the nose, same thing goes for the headband > to the right a bit. NIce mood and good idea to match the haircolor with the mask
(5 years and 3827 days ago)You did a really good job on the drawing. I don't want t be a partypooper but there's nothing left from the source and in my opinion you could have made this from any source...
(5 years and 3830 days ago)both sides of the reflection looks flat, if you can correct this you've got a really good entry. Maybe by spherizing the reflecting you get a better result to start off the reflection, then use a distortion map to match the apples shape. Just a suggestion
(5 years and 3830 days ago)Maybe adding some shadow will give it some depth, otherwise nicely done.
(5 years and 3834 days ago)You could give it a bit more work instead off just blending 2 layers > 2 minutes work. I agree the effect is nice but you'll see we look further and expect more, sorry to be harsh
(5 years and 3836 days ago)Just blending 2 images into 1, looking for the 2nd source would have taken more time over blending them... Sorry to sound harsh but at least I expect more.
(5 years and 3836 days ago)Nice idea, but really not a lot of work is it? I agree with CMYK on the blending head vs the body, it could be better. Use a brush to repair the hair. Put in an interesting background...
(5 years and 3838 days ago)This could be a great image but what you posted now looks like the first step to it.
Hope you take some time to improve.
I'm not impressed... sorry! Just some brushes, warp and a lensflare? That don't impress me much...
(5 years and 3840 days ago)Hmmm I leave some birthday cake behind for you all and this is what happened to it???
(5 years and 3845 days ago)Kids...
This is so nice and sweet! Gourgeous mood as well. Hope the "bad" background will work out, hate to see this removed...
(5 years and 3848 days ago)it looks kinda pixely, got a better version? Sure hope so because this is one of the better logo's in the contest
(5 years and 3850 days ago)WOW author another great work
(5 years and 3851 days ago)clean and simple: GOOD! maybe for a contrast you can put the "eyes" part above it all?
(5 years and 3852 days ago)remember this should be about 89 pixels high... it will be completely unrecognizable
(5 years and 3852 days ago)nice and simple... I like it
(5 years and 3852 days ago)Better drop the feathers though, they remind to much to Photoshop but PXLEyes is focussing more to ALL imageproducing software including 3d and so on...
It's to much focussed on the "eyes" part for me: "The goal of this contest is to design a logo for PXLEyes.com - PXLEyes.com can be interpreted in different ways and it is up to you to design a creative interpretation. It can be pronounced as "Pixel Eyes" or "Pixelize" or "Pixel Lies"."
(5 years and 3852 days ago)remember PXLEyes isnt just about Photoshop anymore, one of the reasons for the namechange...
(5 years and 3852 days ago)remember PXLEyes isnt just about Photoshop anymore, one of the reasons for the namechange...
(5 years and 3852 days ago)I think you should remove "photoshop", the main reason for the namechange has to do with the fact this site opens up for more different techniques/software. Futhermore its PXLeyes not PXLeye
