Nice one, hint for the next time: use a tissue to smudge the darker areas. You'll get a much smoother and nicer result. But: good drawing

Just one thing I would do different, you have the minutes numbers pointed to the inside; why not the hours (4 5 6 7 8) as well? Think it will be more consistent.

The description mentions that photo manipulation as well as the typography is important, I see your attempt at typography but no photo manipulation at all. Maybe have a second chance on this and do something with the source?

If there would have been a high res I could have judged this entry better. It looks to me that the persons are not in focus but that can be the small version of this shot as well. Might have gotten a higher vote from me if the high res was there because I do like the composition and the colors...

I agree with Alan: great photo, the movement in the front is a nice (color)contrast with the blue sky.
1 Small thing: please straighten the horizon, rotating with +0.5 degrees in PS will do the job.

you might have gotten the same effect by using more DOF with just the reflection sharp, might have made the photo more interesting IMHO.

Good render but you can improve this entry by looking at the composition, presentation and use of light. It's a bit dull right now IMHO.
Why not move the plate a bit to the left (rules of third), camera a bit more closer (we don't need to see the whole plate, a close up might be more interesting) and use some lights to highlight some spots.

Nice photo but not as a stock photo IMHO, you missed the goal of this contest here

May I suggest to give the texture of the cake another thought? The color / reflection does not really give the idea of chocolate.
