What a fun and great Idea for this contest. Lovely imagination... (the bee as an eye makes me twitch because they scare the hell out of me) giggle snort
(5 years and 2375 days ago)GREAT JOB!!!
Fun image. Steps 5-7 6 don't work. Looks pasted on.
(5 years and 2376 days ago)Nice idea. IMO the figures would be perpendicular to the surfaces they're popping out of. Looks good otherwise.
(5 years and 2376 days ago)LOL @ photogirl's comment about the shopping. Maybe she's mad because she forgot the Nair. Good job!
(5 years and 2377 days ago)Looks like she had a bad day shopping! Great image.
(5 years and 2377 days ago)Love the "hurricane" effect!

(5 years and 2379 days ago)Congratulations on 1st place, wonderful entry, you will have us all rushing out to by wands.
(5 years and 2380 days ago)Great shot
(5 years and 2381 days ago)Congrats
(5 years and 2381 days ago)Close. The orca would displace a lot more. Good idea though,
(5 years and 2381 days ago)Very funny and excellent work! Nicely done.
(5 years and 2382 days ago)I love the colors and the humor. Flawless executed!
(5 years and 2382 days ago)Pretty funny idea -). Tiny suggestion: if you use own images and have a clue where you want to add the orca, it's good to focus on thát part of the plate that should be really sharp (in this case, where the orca jumps). Right now it's juuuust a bit blurry. Nothing terrible, but never wrong to keep in mind. Also, the milk is thicker and has a bit more color than the splash that the orca creates. That flying cheerio and reflections are nice details! Good luck!
(5 years and 2382 days ago)I want a wand!!!! whaaaaaaaa
(5 years and 2382 days ago)No.....!!! Don't eat him! I wonder if elephants taste like peanuts? LOL. This is cute. Great idea.
(5 years and 2382 days ago)Hee-hee! Sweet!
(5 years and 2382 days ago)You might want to soften the edges of the camel to match the sharpness of the surrounding image.
(5 years and 2382 days ago)Also when adding shadows make the 'connection' of the two surfaces similar in darkness. i.e. the camel looks a bit like it's floating because the darkness of the shadow you made doesn't match the parts of the camel that are meant to be in contact.
The shadows are about right in strength, you just need to add that much darkness to the camel as well, or lighten it up where it's darker. If you don't understand what I mean (which wouldn't surprise me because sometimes I don't express myself very well send me a PM so I can illustrate.
PS: Just want to help!
I like the idea but I think the two elements used could be made to look a lot more natural. Just a bit more blending and colour matching.
(5 years and 2382 days ago)Cool!!!!!!! I like this one.
(5 years and 2382 days ago)Nice sharp image of the bird (bit DOF) could work as a source because there's not that many good sources of a bird in flight.
(5 years and 2383 days ago)The duck in the back would be good as a PS source, the other 2 are not because the are OOF.
(5 years and 2383 days ago)Careful with using children as a PS source suggestion, realize what Photoshoppers can do with it and if that's what you really want. The end result does not have to be sweet and what you expected. Besides that I always am a bit scared with shots of children on the internet...
(5 years and 2383 days ago)Nice, but it seems to be more about the storm trooper than the bottle
(5 years and 2383 days ago)Great colors effects!
(5 years and 2383 days ago)Lovely... my dogs love to do this... great
(5 years and 2383 days ago)Makes me remember "I Dream of Jeannie"...great!
(5 years and 2383 days ago)Wonderful idea. Well done. GL
(5 years and 2383 days ago)Yes author, you are great!
(5 years and 2383 days ago)I love your creativity! Great one!
(5 years and 2383 days ago)Ok, ok...great one... first deserved!
(5 years and 2383 days ago)Creating an entry is a lot of work so I understand your decision to stop revising. But for the future, I would note that a Rule-of-Thirds (rather than centering) composition can be more dramatic (and might have yielded a compelling diagonal arrangement here if your hobbit were moved to the right and the little mushrooms were in the middle). [BTW the horizon line of the lamp at his feet doesn't seem to match that of the other elements.]
(5 years and 2383 days ago)A very sweet capture... lovely.. .GL
(5 years and 2384 days ago)Ok, the expression and the car are great... GL
(5 years and 2384 days ago)Nice lighting and clarity.
(5 years and 2384 days ago)This one could encompass all five senses
(5 years and 2384 days ago)The light and shadows in this are kind of all over the place, though I can appreciate the difficulty. I really like the concept, but otherwise I'm not quite sure what to make of it.
(5 years and 2384 days ago)Maybe you could've moved the model slightly to the right then made the bottom left mushroom bigger, therefore making it cast more light. I find if I'm having trouble lighting a scene it helps to have a dominant light source to fool the eye.
It also helps to selectively blur/sharpen parts of the image to mimic the way humans perceive things i.e. I know the dude is the focus of the image but while I'm looking at him my brain is still noticing how sharp the background and buildings are and therefore it feels as if something is a bit wrong. Hope that makes sense!
Thanks for adding the SBS
