What instantly drew me to this entry was the warm colour palette, you shot this during golden hours. The sharpness is present through all the planes and that triangle goes on and on into the horizon line. You took the horizon to the 2/3rd and 1/3rd rule and produced a spellbinding image that warms us and takes us on a visual journey. Tonal contrasts are well done giving this image further depth.
(5 years and 583 days ago)haha funny chop. congrats.
(5 years and 585 days ago)Congrats Randy, every time I look at this chop, I wonder when the chick will come out and what he will look like
(5 years and 586 days ago)Congrats Randy, that's funny
(5 years and 587 days ago)WOOT! Congrats!
(5 years and 587 days ago)Congrats....
(5 years and 592 days ago)how in heaven's name did you come up with this...it is hysterical and well done . It all fits together and I love the delivery title.
(5 years and 593 days ago)Wow, now this took some doing to creat this photograph, it rocks
(5 years and 593 days ago)The photograph itself is sharp on the main aspect with lovely dof manipulation through to the back. The colour palette is pleasing except for that black shadow on the upper L but overall we stop to have a closer look at your upload.
As I was scrolling down to view your upload I stopped the scroll at the black shoelaces and that gave your shoe a face with a moustache! The upload is fun and this shoe looks well loved. A bit of a tight nip at the bottom, something that I am guilty of doing too.
(5 years and 593 days ago)BWHAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAAAAA HAAAAA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
(5 years and 593 days ago)Still Naughty...
Congrats Randy
(5 years and 593 days ago)Congrats on 2nd my friend.
(5 years and 594 days ago)The texture of this image has been punched out really well without it going overboard. Nice catch to see the beauty in this old well worn wheel with a story. I bet it would look great in b/w as well.
(5 years and 594 days ago)I so gotta teach myself PS's 3D stuff.
(5 years and 595 days ago)Homage to Harry Potter? hehehe (the scar) Great JOB!
(5 years and 599 days ago)Great action shot - and clear silhouette.
(5 years and 609 days ago)Do you remember a time long agon when we were studying photography and our teachers used to tell us to put the camera away during harsh bright sunlight....well the heck with that because this shot clearly shows off the shadows and that is what makes this shot so eye catching. Top Marks.
(5 years and 609 days ago)I like the presentation here, it is solid and again the dynamic range gives added oooomph.
(5 years and 609 days ago)I feel the dynamic range on this photo is exquisite, what a punch it gives! Clarity, detail cropping all nicely done.
(5 years and 609 days ago)I think it's a pretty cool image. I assume the "Sandstorm action" was used on the bat. Anyway, good job!
(5 years and 610 days ago)WOW, you have such a nice clean image with no dust spots at all in the sky (something I'm always struggling with, hence I notice it on all photos). I would not have minded a bit more of the buildings as it feels a bit cut off and unbalanced, or if I may say, a bit of a tease. However, it does feel alien and greenish.
(5 years and 610 days ago)Maybe make the bat lighter since he is surrounded by red hell fire (I can tell he is a he for obvious reasons ). There should be reflected red/orange light. IMO the bat is lost in the darkness and doesn't stand out. Overall "Bat out of hell" is a great theme, imaginative chop, and it does look like a bat is coming out of hell.

(5 years and 614 days ago)Well done for winning
(5 years and 614 days ago)nice win , congrtas again.
(5 years and 615 days ago)Congrats on this piece.
(5 years and 615 days ago)YAY...truly deservant of number one spot. Congrats!
(5 years and 615 days ago)Congrats Randy, that's sooooo cute
(5 years and 615 days ago)Interesting treatment. I like the slight purple / pinky hue to the image. The shot really gets you thinking - posh jacket, mattress on the floor - what's going on?
(5 years and 616 days ago)Phoenix?
(5 years and 617 days ago)We're in a fairytale.
(5 years and 618 days ago)I think your title adds to the beauty of this image. The three layered effect is clearly seen and those bushes look great blurred, wouldn't want it any other way.
(5 years and 618 days ago)Jumps out at us in clarity. Why did you nip off his derriere?
(5 years and 618 days ago)Like this for the post processing , a bit out of the box and changing it to monochrome with a tint was great. Good composition.
(5 years and 618 days ago)but still a good one
(5 years and 618 days ago)Awwww... Totally Adorable.
(5 years and 619 days ago)Good use of contrast in this and like the fact the bushes are slightly blurred.
(5 years and 619 days ago)Interesting perspective used here and the hdr has bought this one out more
(5 years and 619 days ago)Man, if you woulda cropped it just a little more to the left, you woulda seen me surfing.
(5 years and 622 days ago)Good work.
(5 years and 622 days ago)CONGRATS ON 2ND rturnbow
(5 years and 622 days ago)Great use of sources.
(5 years and 626 days ago)Great idea and good work but I think the shadow of the blades on the wood should have been blurred with the same motion blur as the moving blades.
(5 years and 629 days ago)I think that face is really funny.
(5 years and 629 days ago)A fun chop.
this is hysterical....where did you come up with this idea. The fact that the trees below are soft adds such a great punch to that helicopter...and I still have a smile on my face. Great work.
(5 years and 629 days ago)LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT.....I like the simplicity of this post and the excitement the waves create. Top notch work in my books.
(5 years and 629 days ago)Had to come back here a few days after posting to tell you I am still laughing.
(5 years and 630 days ago)Mush face
(5 years and 630 days ago)HOLY GUACAMOLE, you can even see the heatwaves in this photo. I thought this was your photo and I was right. Really great.
