A baboon including the mandrill baboon is considered an 'old world' Monkey rather than an ape. Unlike monkeys the apes do not have tails and their arms are usually longer than their legs.
Apes would include chimpanzees, gorillas, gibbons, and orangutans.

Fine photographic art. The gentle sepia is so perfect for it is a fragile colour which helps to highlight the softness of this flower, just emerging. The dark center with excellent detail caught is a wonderful visual balance. The sweep of the petals adds visual excitement as well. To me, this is top notch, and I would buy this, matte it, frame it, and hang it on a wall.

What a find. I am drawn to the contrast of both knobs, the detail of the spider webs, the grunge effect is very nice as well. You have good tonal range and that makes the image come to life.

This is an OH WOW photograph that is photographic art. Beautifully balanced, colours soft, reflection is delightful. There does seem to be a slight cast on this image and I'm wondering if gamma correction would improve it...still it is fantabulous and amazing to see this quality of image making.

Awww what an uncomfortable photo this is for me , and that is a good thing for images to yank out emotion out of viewer. I would not have minded to see more detail in the shadow aspect of the eye and you can see that the focus is on his fur and off the eye and fly. However, the colour palette I find warm and it draws a comfortable feel in viewing this close up.
