Great work..
(5 years and 3022 days ago)Lovely work author! Best of luck!
(5 years and 3025 days ago)I am not sure but the egg looks a little flat? Maybe if you work a little more on it it will look better? Just an opinion!
thumbs up to mossy... good luck author
(5 years and 3100 days ago)Really better now! Good effort!
(5 years and 3102 days ago)Hayato says:
(5 years and 3102 days ago)"Ouch, MossyB, really ouch..."
That's exactly my sentiment! Since this is a competition, rather than a display website, entries need more attention to basics like lighting and composition and consistency...
Getting rid of the lighthouse and the stretched skeleton helped the composition a LOT, but the woman is still too brightly lit from the opposite side of your other main elements. Her leg could be a lighthouse by itself...
The rain looks much better, but the yellow smudgy strokes in the corners are distracting, and the totally desaturated image except for the king and the yellow smudges does not give the image an overall integrated feeling.
Better, though.
Ouch, MossyB, really ouch... but agreed with the corrections. Esp the fire... I don't know how to describe, a little yellowish white of true fire would make those fires realistic.
(5 years and 3102 days ago)Agreed with the interesting concept. Looks so glooomy though. Good luck~!
This image is very inconsistent and poorly put together. The perspective and proportions of the skeleton are too stretched. The entire image looks like it is being projected onto a gauze curtain (is it supposed to be raining?) and the woman and lighthouse are totally out of place for the image - They are both lit from the left, while the skeleton in front is lit from above, the sea king is lit from the right top, and the ship is lit from the mid to lower right. The figure in the lower RH corner is backlit and almost impossible to clearly make out at all.
(5 years and 3103 days ago)It's an interesting concept, but it needs a lot of clean up with more attention to detail.
Nice concept author, GL!
(5 years and 3115 days ago)So cute! My husband and I have been to many doctors just this week, but none are so cute as this!!!! lol gl author
(5 years and 3115 days ago)nice color matching
(5 years and 3117 days ago)Fix the obvious hard edge at left of figure and blend the legs into the body better.
(5 years and 3118 days ago)Nice idea with thinking outside the box with the source, author!
(5 years and 3118 days ago)It is very cute.. maybe the mother elephants eye should be the same as the baby?
(5 years and 3119 days ago)The light source is from the right. The light on the foreground elephant is from the left, so either flip it to match the lighting or make a highlight on its right side. Good color matching.
(5 years and 3119 days ago)Woah! Nice one, man!
(5 years and 3119 days ago)The face still is noticeably lighter, with the sun shining DOWN from behind her.
(5 years and 3120 days ago)Her hair and shoulders show NO lighting on them at all, while you have a VERY strong shadow coming off of the bottom of her dress, although the dress shows no corresponding shading away from the sun light source.
I'm sorry, but whatever corrections you've made have not helped the inconsistencies between the contest source, the woman's body and dress, and the background you've selected...In competitions like this, such inconsistencies will probably have a negative effect on your score.
The lighting on the face is inconsistent with the background you are using. You might try selecting the face, and going to Image>Adjustments>Selective Color>Whites, and try bringing down the white tones in the face to better match the rest of the head and neck...
(5 years and 3120 days ago)congrats on fourth place... lots of entries .... well done
(5 years and 3126 days ago)Like the concept author. I do have one question. Wouldn't the candle cast a shadow the other way with the marker causing a double shadow effect and light up the forward shadow some? Best of luck.
(5 years and 3127 days ago)Beautiful
(5 years and 3127 days ago)Beautiful entry author ..GL!!
(5 years and 3127 days ago)The smoke needs a bit of work, it looks like a Nike "swoosh" logo pasted on top of your entry, but otherwise, this is great.
(5 years and 3127 days ago)I think all the sheep entries should have the black sheep wearing some sort of hat. It definitely perks him up in every one!
smoking in no smoking zone....lol
(5 years and 3127 days ago)real colors......
(5 years and 3127 days ago)the black sheep looks good
(5 years and 3127 days ago)good theme

(5 years and 3128 days ago)You do not need to get permission to use the photo for a contest here. You only need to publicly attribute it to the photographer when you post the URL - Instead of "Source 1," You can put "Source 1 by 'XXX' at SXC" or a similar message.
(5 years and 3130 days ago)You can also send the source photographer a private e-mail message through SXC, if you wish to retain your anonymity, since leaving a public link will identify you. It is not necessary to publicly leave a comment on the Stock Exchange site.
you must to put his name on the source image on this site and on his page on the site from where you took your picture, site ( http://www.sxc.hu/photo/1338382 ) in the lower right corner leave a comment with a link where you used the picture .
(5 years and 3130 days ago)The moon illuminates more than the sky.
(5 years and 3130 days ago)You have the ground so dark that nothing can be seen, which is not consistent with a full moon, especially one that large in the sky...
The objects should be showing some back lighting, as well as slight cast shadows on the ground from the moonlight, which should be shining on the ground as well as the objects on top of the ground.
nice work...........
