not so much that there are crystals in the trees.. it's more like the crystal doesn't blend well into the trees... from a distance.. awesome... HI RES, up close.. the crystals punch you in the face (take over the image).. lots source to balance... good luck*

well u took an animal and made it look demonic; it doesn't say in the contest u have to see what it originally was; even if it is dark it has a great texture and is a nice contrast with the fire imo

I am sorry the high res image is too big for me to make out on my monitor what im looking at (19 inch) and the small one make it impossible to see what it is...

well personaly it is a very dark image, but that is exactly what i think makes it incredible, yes you have to see the image of the before to understand where the turtle is, i see all of the turtle in the image, from the shell which looks like magma and molten rock formations with a tombstone on its back, and the evil eye brings out the face, i honestly do not see how others cannot understand or see this image in full. this is a master piece i believe. this turtle looks like one from a movie that should be. and it be a giant turtle of course.

Way too much detail that you made the turtle or durtle vanish to oblivion... Even in high res even though the detail is amazing, but it looks like burned wood to me... I will hold to my vote... This could be really a great entry if durtle was more distinct... Hope you can alter or edit it a bit...

Edit: Well I know every artist has his or her own style... Dark in your case... But here if you haven't mention about turtle or durtle in your defination, I would have never guess it was a turtle or durtle...

Also my moniter calibration is okay... And I also check in high res... I also said it's wasn't dark, but that durtle looked like burned wood... Anyways looks like you won't change anything and I respect that... Good luck for the contest...

I know this going to sound strange.. the High res is very detailed. but You really can't make out the turtle too well.. it's SO altered that the original turtle has been completely built OUT of the piece (the color and textures are just amazing author.. gave you high marks for the work) I would only suggest if you could make the turtle more clear.. it might be more effective if it was easier to see the turtle.. but it could be IMHO (I also don't have the greatest eye sight when it comes to dark pieces) but good luck on this.. it's got a lot of great tones and moods
