That might be enough explanation since the rules do state:

You should post your "How I did the fan" as your SBS, no need to use a link for that. You can add an SBS by selecting "My Entries" from the profile menu then the entry where you want to add the SBS. Very nicely done and an informative guide. An SBS can be rated by members and approved by a Mod.

I know what you mean, I do the same thing, trying all kinds of versions of my image. This looks much better, we can see the details and it's still dramatic. Too bad about the tombstones, I assume you tried searching your history. Even without the tombstones this deserves a good score IMHO.

I see from your SBS a lot of work was done but I think the final image is too dark to appreciate the details (and I'm using a 27" high res monitor). You could brighten it up a bit and still maintain the drama.

This looks like you only used filters. That's not enough for these contests, rules state: "In a source contest it's mandatory to use the provided source image in your entry. Not only use it, but also manipulate it in some way. Of course you can also combine it with other external source images."

I have to agree with CMYK46. I don't see what is so unexpected or incredible about your image.

Author you do need at least a written description of how the entry was made. An SBS (step by step) would be better and helps show how you created the entry. It's in the Photoshop Rules:

Author I think you've put the url in the wrong box. The link works when I copy and paste it but not when you click on it.

I'm afraid I have some bad news about the source, it's under a Creative Commons No derivative works license. That means it cannot be modified, remixed, transformed or built upon. You always have to check for the CC symbol with an equal sign (=) in a circle, it means no derivative works.

I did find an almost exact match for the source here:

This is a very nice image however there are some problems with your sources. Links must show the image used and the usage terms for that image. Source 4 is from an ad page, you have to find the original image to see if it is free of copyright and provide that link. Source 7 is the download link, use this link instead: https://www.pexels.com/photo/nature-sky-clouds-cloudy-1195/ Source 8 is also the download link, you must show the link to the image and the usage terms for that image.

The other links seem okay. You'll have to make the corrections or the Contest Moderator will have to send you a warning and remove your entry until it has been corrected.

Lelaina is quite right. I copied your entry and changed the size to 100x100pxls and it looks just fine as it is in your high res but as Lelaina said your entry should be a higher resolution for better viewing. I'll hold my vote till you change it and ask other members do the same.

As soon as I saw this I thought of loopyluv. Of course I could be wrong but that's the member that came to mind.
