(5 years and 2728 days ago)So much better without the stars! The background seems to work well now, not sure if you adjusted the texture or not but your entry looks great to me and deserves a vote to match the fine work!
(5 years and 2728 days ago)I agree with both CMYK46 and rusvelt2000. The girl is really well done but the background detracts from the image. The stars are too graphic IMHO and repetitious. You'll find better ones with more variety here: http://getbrushes.com/space-photoshop-brushes/jennbs-starlight-brushes.php I think you'll have a great image if you work on the background as has been suggested.

(5 years and 2731 days ago)You can't use illustrations made by someone else in your entry. You should read the rules: Photoshop rule 5.7. 3D Renders or Illustrations as Source: Using other people's 3D renders or illustrations (even with permission and no matter in which form they are offered) creates a false impression of your artwork. So 3D renders or illustrations (this includes brushes, tubes, clipart, pdf files) can not be used as sources, unless they are entirely created by yourself.

(5 years and 2732 days ago)There are several documentaries about this great aviator, I think the one you mentioned Bob is "The Legend of Pancho Barnes and the Happy Bottom Riding Club" (the same one shown in the link you provided). It's a great story very well done with Kathy Bates voicing the words of Pancho Barnes.
BTW the officers mess at Edwards AFB is named "The Pancho Barnes Room".
