(5 years and 3510 days ago)I agree with DanLundberg, it's a beautiful piece with wonderful atmosphere. If you eliminate the tracks you probably would have to bring the right side fence to the left to fill the negative space where the tracks were. (just filling with grass would still leave a negative space disturbing the symmetry.) That would mean extending the fence bottom a bit and some cloning. Now that's speaking purely from a design standpoint. The tracks could be part of the suggested story, maybe her lover just drove over the horizon and she's left waiting alone...who knows? In any case I still love the feel of this and it won't effect my vote either way.
(5 years and 3514 days ago)Geez Ricky if they were any bigger she could nurse New Jersey! Yes author I've suspected that for some time.
(5 years and 3514 days ago)That's funny...sick but funny! And she's better looking than heffer in the source image.
(5 years and 3514 days ago)Very nice still life, good composition.
(5 years and 3515 days ago)Very nice! I really like the rendering of the bird it has a graceful look about it. It is hard to see the original source but it does look good.
(5 years and 3515 days ago)Sorry I'm just not impressed with sophomoric attempts at humor. That being said the chop isn't the best, the hand has a black edge, the hand is in foreground and wouldn't cast a shadow as yours seems to, also the flesh edge gets very blurry where it overlaps the other hand. The lens used for this shot has a good depth of field the new hand wouldn't be so blurry. The face doesn't look natural it's over liquified and distorted IMO.
(5 years and 3516 days ago)I was very moooved by this one but it's udder nonsense ...no self respecting cow would wear a white tie with that shirt. (sorry I couldn't stop myself) Really very well done!

(5 years and 3517 days ago)It's good that you added an SBS, it helps members evaluate the work and maybe learn something.( Remember everyone has different skill levels.)
(5 years and 3518 days ago)The idea of the snow is good but snowflakes are six pointed crystals. May I suggest trying one of these brushes: http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=§ion=&global=1&q=snow+brushes
They're really good and will give you a variety of snow effects.
Your entry seems to be within the rules and guidelines however I'm not the moderator for this contest.
(5 years and 3522 days ago)I do agree with our fellow members Geexman and gamemastertips, your SBS was misleading whether that was intentional or not the inference is the same. Those comments while of a negative nature were not worded in a vicious or derogatory way yet you felt it necessary to refer to detractors as "loosers" which I assume means "losers". Had you responded in a simple academic manner I would have respected your answer more.
The edges of the Buddha are somewhat jagged. I'm guessing you used the magic wand at the default setting. I tried it myself and the best way with the wand is a tolerance of 32, then select outside the statue and keep selecting till the silo is complete. Next adjust the refine edge feature which is now highlighted in the menu bar on top. Set radius 1.0, contrast 0, smooth 2, feather .05 and expand 2. Now hit delete. The edge should look smoother, experiment with the settings to see what's best for you.
