Why wouldn't there be art and type on the edges? The Author may have wanted it that way............I like it very much just as is! I love the lighting and the mood. (art and type included!) nothin' like a little eye candy!

Something is going on with the young side of his nose! Which nostril are you wanting us to look at? Also, the same problem with the mustache! These are easy fixes........I will hold my vote for a while to see what you do! Good luck!

Man I didn't even SEE the hippo at first, but after reading the comments, it made me wonder "What is a hippo doing doing in this fall scene in Ohio?" You really should take the hippo out. Also the blend of the yellow tree with the one to the side is not a smooth blend. That would be a good change for you to make. I must say that I DO like the texture you put over the image, it looks really good!

Thank you for not retouching the older mans face to look younger!!! This is a terriffic blending job...it looks..umm..natural? jawshoewhah is right about the ears........just darkening the younger one will make this even better!

I think it might help the realism if you blur the trees more. That will give the impression of distance between the foreground and the background! JMHO

You have a few edges issues that I'd like to see cleaned up. The front edge of the "lake", the fairey's wings, and the cloak of the figure in the foreground are all a bit blurred and need some definition. The mood of this peice is wonderful...I'd just like to see it more refined. MHO! Good luck!

Although well executed, you are right....shadows need a LOT of work. Could be a GREAT image with that fix.

HA! Great idea but your selection needs some work. Try a soft eraser to remove the light area around the front mouse. Good luck!
