Perfectly playful image, and incredible detail and realism. I love it. The highlights / reflections and shadows are superb -- I can definitely learn a lot from you / it. Even the background is well done! Great job!
(5 years and 3760 days ago)Beautful piece -- I love the way the bulbs all glow. Excellent use of monochrome, too -- all of the yellows play well together and make a very warm image. Something to consider for the future might be to pull out a focal point: here, you might have blurred the background more quickly and strongly to yank the viewer's eye to one bulb or bulb cluster in particular. Making the furthest background layer a little darker might have helped achieve the same effect, but I understand that this piece is all about light, so it makes sense in a way to leave it a little brighter.
(5 years and 3760 days ago)Fun! Gorgeous. Haunting. Fun, again. Incredible fusion of the simple and the ornate. It's like a swimming light bulb. The idea of a tiny, defenseless fish emitting light is beautiful. The blurred background is terrific, very nice touch. I can't stress how much I love all the detail! If I could have one thing different, I might nix the motion blur, but still, very attractive piece. Great job!
(5 years and 3760 days ago)Tremendous piece! [And taseful treatment of a taboo. ] Takes a basic function of life and turns it into art, great idea. I dig the focal point work -- really like the blurred out extreme foreground, really well done. If I could have one thing changed, I'd suggest you consider adding a refraction effect to the focal sperm, giving a bit more of a fisheye camera feel to the other sperm seen through it. Rergardless, really nice piece, and I like the warm colors.
(5 years and 3760 days ago)Very interesting piece! I love the flowers, very nice crystalline effect. The butterfly is a fun touch, too.
(5 years and 3760 days ago)Incredibly original -- wished you'd have added the "Originality" sub-rating so I could give you a "Very Good!" Excellent blending, and you clearly put a lot of effort into making this. Looks like a glass figurine!
(5 years and 3760 days ago)Fun image, reminds me of fractals, or of some kind of microscopic pond organism. Nice job!
(5 years and 3760 days ago)Very cute picture! I love the rabbit standing up, he has personality. Nice colors, and I really liked the frame, nice touch. As others have mentioned, the rabbits' shadows are a little off -- you could use the chimney for reference. Since it's casting a shadow a bit to the viewer's right and towards the viewer, the rabbits' shadows would be cast to the right and slightly towards the viewer. Still, very fun piece!
(5 years and 3760 days ago)Very pretty! I love the way you combined and distorted the bulbs to form the petals -- great thinking and very original! I think you might have been able to achieve some more realism without the texture filter on the plants though. Again though, incredibly original and great execution!
(5 years and 3760 days ago)This is gorgeous! I really love the clouds and the boosted contrast. I also like the ravens' extended feathers -- definitely succeeds in making it feel otherworldly. Something you might consider for the future would be to make a stronger distinction between foreground and background, e.g. the woman looks rather big compared to the large rock face because it's a little difficult to see that she's much closer. Maybe a few larger plants in the foreground to contrast with some smaller ones over by the rock would help communicate the sense of depth.
(5 years and 3762 days ago)Fun idea, and I really love the little ironic touch of the cobwebs. The adding the eyes was a clever move, too. I really like the zigzag in the web in the reference image -- might have been interesting if you could have worked that in, too. Anyway, I love it. Nice job!
