What a fun contest and congrats on your win!
(5 years and 489 days ago)YAYAYAYA....Congrats!... (again)
(5 years and 489 days ago)Bonjour cherie...CONGRATULATIONS on this bonsai tree.
(5 years and 489 days ago)Nice dreamy shot and CONGRATULATIONS on number one!
(5 years and 489 days ago)Congrats Brian, I really like this photo.
(5 years and 489 days ago)This one is better than the previous one, however, can you see that the attention is on the boat , not the bridge?
(5 years and 489 days ago)Quick quick, there is a dust spot in the sky...you can take that out (dead pixels). Go to dead centre then across to the right a bit and it is there. (upper aspect of image...high in the sky)
(5 years and 489 days ago)Nice catch here of victorious emotion, albeit a bit staged. Not sure though if this image starts with the letter v.
(5 years and 489 days ago)Superman.
(5 years and 489 days ago)Good one. Well defined, good tonality and a zippy post. Check to make sure you do NOT have a lean to the left.
(5 years and 490 days ago)I really like the "artistic" bend in this upload. The grunge effect is consistent throughout and makes for a rich and vibrant post with some darkening at the borders yet hue is bright on the broom. This is a photograph that was worked on and not just snapped. The "angry" looking reds are the anchor point that holds us to your photo and placed into the grid line is perfect. Some may mention how the handle may take the eye out of the frame but I would argue that the grunge and textural quality, the simple yet strong solid framing gives us a standout shot. I do think you need to sign this, matte it and frame it!
(5 years and 490 days ago)A whimsical upload in rich saturated colours that make this image work! Well comoposed with dynamic lines that take our eye on a death defying plunge and stops our breath. .....what fun!
(5 years and 490 days ago)A most respectable photograph in monochrome with a vast range of tonality. Slight vignette really accentuates the seagull and our eyes are held to your image. A well-balanced photograph and your shutter speed is perfect to freeze the gull in flight and show details of his feathers. By presenting this photograph it demonstrates to the viewer how you and your camera are best friends.
(5 years and 490 days ago)Oh my, what a noble post of the "king of the house"!...such majesty is felt here and there is no argument who is boss. I think the off-center works here and the non-obstructive background further enhances the main focal point. It is a meaty post, well contrasted, pin sharp on the eyes for when the eyes are in focus all smattering of sins are forgiven. It is my own personal feeling but the marginal space at the top could come down somewhat and that would make Oscar even larger than he already is....but that is just my own preference.....meow! Purrrrrrrrrfect, top of the shelf work.
(5 years and 490 days ago)Yes, the rule of thirds sings loud and clear however the image is soft especially the main focal point situated in the grid lines, which is being pierced by the white masks. However, it is an interesting post full of warm hues.
(5 years and 490 days ago)This is a metaphorical image that brings to mind "Him". I find this to be a very intimate image and therein lies its strength. You could have easily used a gradient tool at perhaps 15 % to draw in the corners and make "Him" pop out at us even more. Technically well done, sharp, well contrasted, the ice is white not blue, good exposure. Overall a lovely post.
(5 years and 490 days ago)I appreciate your thumbs up very much.
(5 years and 490 days ago)There is a really loud pop on your focal point which is wonderful and as viewers we get it instantly. The diagonal white triangle at the lower left confuses the eye somewhat and gives it a slide off the frame effect. The work of the photographer can clearly be seen and the photo is one that has been created and not just snapped.
(5 years and 490 days ago)This surely looks cool. See that white pole coming out of the glass in the background? It looks like another straw but I see it isn't! The colour palette of this image in cool blues also adds to the beauty.
(5 years and 490 days ago)Hmmm now that is good to know. Wish you had put that up in the description. I will try this technique one of these days now all thanks to you...just you.
(5 years and 491 days ago)I agree with you wholeheartedly and your title matches so perfectly how this little one feels about it...it is the best and he is very determined to ingest it ALL. The emotive element of this image is strong and makes it a winner in my eyes. Your technical skills are evident as is your artistic lean!
(5 years and 491 days ago)There it is again, nice one also with the fog. You could do a 4 piece collage of the same tree with a different story in each frame.
(5 years and 491 days ago)This is such a common scene whether in Thailand with the water buffalo or in your neck of the woods the photo is idyllic and you did a great job in capturing the spirit of the scene. Loved it.
(5 years and 491 days ago)You have chutzpah for trying something new and stepping out of the box....I applaud you and this is inspirational. I like the blur up top and the sharpness in the middle. A different way of looking at a tree. For me, a tighter crop would not have hurt, but that is just me.
(5 years and 491 days ago)Lovely, re-awakens the child within and brought a smile to my face.
(5 years and 491 days ago)Clever.
(5 years and 491 days ago)OUCH OUCH OUCH MY NECK....it's upside down, can't see it properly.
(5 years and 491 days ago)I like this photo for so many reasons. First of all your snow is white and the naturalness of setting draws me into it. You have composed it nicely by inclusion of bushes on the side and the eye is taken into it's depth. How absolutely lovely that there is a duck there in the distance...that, for me was the icing on this well baked cake! Technical elements all well handled, sharp, contrasted, exposure all A+ this one ought to do well in this contest.
(5 years and 491 days ago)This is an OH WOW bridge, where is it located? Well balanced, no dust spots clean and vast.
(5 years and 491 days ago)Solid presentation, clear and well done with exposure and contrast. No aberrations noted and saturation is real without overcooking. A rather peaceful looking scene.
(5 years and 491 days ago)Try using a healing brush?
(5 years and 491 days ago)Thank you for appreciating by giving me a point, something I appreciate
(5 years and 492 days ago)A nice no nonsense photograph showing the beauty of this bridge from a good viewpoint, well balanced, clear.
(5 years and 493 days ago)I like the way you have captured the "flow" of people too....clever!
(5 years and 493 days ago)The beauty of a tree is clearly shown here. An honest, unpretentious photo.
(5 years and 493 days ago)Clear and sharp and they all are ignoring you making them look like little statues. Personally, I would not have minded a bit of a nip up on the grass but that is all about artistic prerogative and I bow to yours.
(5 years and 493 days ago)Take your eye to the raven that is taking off the branch, now go straight up up up up to the first little branch that is sticking out. See that blotch? Looks like cloning gone wrong. Did you remove a raven there? I like the starkness of this image a lot.
(5 years and 493 days ago)I just showed my other half your work. He laughed...it is truly wonderful photoshopping and chopping and manipulation ...you are so pro.
(5 years and 493 days ago)From the darkness of shadow that we see as hair to the brilliant outline of a female face to the leaves strategically placed and the inclusion of two sparrows to take us full circle to confuse us to show us this is not Elena but branches with birds...and so our minds go cyclically with this illusion. Simply brilliant!
(5 years and 495 days ago)Very clever and well done with using Thai curly script on that sign. You've incorporated two Buddha faces with opacity being nicely lost on the distant one and the Thai dragon is there too but the Thai woman is protected by Buddha. Imagination +++++. I also like the use of yellow fog to give it that other worldly feel.
(5 years and 495 days ago)Hello, I'm writing to you from Thailand, not Bangkok but close (Chiang Mai). I love the chop of this upload. Please have a look on her R shoulder. See that? There is a spot you missed, you might want to fix it before the Photoshoppe Police spot it! Top of the shelf work.
(5 years and 495 days ago)WOW it looks very impressive and this waterway gives passage into the heart of Europe. Well done.
(5 years and 495 days ago)I love the warm glow from the windows.
(5 years and 495 days ago)Nice, two for the price of one!
(5 years and 495 days ago)I wonder if a different, tighter crop would highlight the bridge a bit more? I like the viewpoint from which you shot this, it is vast.
(5 years and 495 days ago)The sharpness in this is very nice and the lamplights are not overblown. The rooftops peeking into the frame give sense of scale too.
(5 years and 495 days ago)The composition of this could be improved upon. The boat is hitting the lower margin "ouch"....a bit more negative space. The boat is well shot tho' good exposure, nice contrast.
(5 years and 495 days ago)I like how you have included the environment in which these fellows are working in, a good photo.
(5 years and 495 days ago)Thanks for that.
(5 years and 496 days ago)I just can't seem to get the emojis right....grrrr
