I really am drawn to the colour palette of this entry.
(5 years and 599 days ago)Ha, I didn't even try, although I thougth of it.
(5 years and 599 days ago)Nice and sharp, good macro of eye and surrounding mascara.
(5 years and 599 days ago)Well done and where in heavens did you get those glasses. Love the dof manipulation.
(5 years and 599 days ago)Your upload is the first one up and I LOVE IT. It works with the turbine in blue sky and the ocean horizon connecting....brilliant, thanks for the inspiration.
(5 years and 600 days ago)I'm just foolin with you.....I think it is a good idea to follow the Buddha's teachings..."all things in moderation". I love dates too, especially with the right fella. ;-D
(5 years and 600 days ago)Denlig, I thought you were joking and once again I broke out laughing. Then I checked with Uncle Google who is omniscient and now I'm really confused....you were right on. The Dipteran syrphids hover and this beast was not mind you this is a variable family. Genus Eristalsis (sounds like peristalsis) are also known as the West Palaeartctic and do resemble the humble bumble bee. See, I was almost right, but almost doesn't cut it.
(5 years and 601 days ago)French fries.....blechhhhhhhhhhhhhh. You are making a joke right?
(5 years and 601 days ago)Saturated fats are what turn a potato into a time bomb for heart disease, diabetes, and cancer the Acrylymide will slay you quicker than 4 puffs of a cigarette per day. French fries starchiness makes them a high-glycemic food, and therefore a risk to cardiovascular and metabolic health.
ahhh maybe with a good dose of gravy, mayo, ketchup and salt we can turn them into a health food...huh?
Never mind with all this babble I like French Fries....
Oh my goodness....I am 4 hours (by car) away from this town. I ought to drive up there to catch a performance. Yes, the blur is fine, showing movement and making the image exciting, yet somehow it appears scattered and has that touristy happy snappy "memory" photo.
(5 years and 602 days ago)Naw................really. Osier willow, now all I have to do is remember that. Ha
(5 years and 602 days ago)I think you may be right about that.
(5 years and 602 days ago)
(5 years and 602 days ago)Are we going to see 4 canoes behind this handsome fellow. I really love the colour palette on this great shot. Sharp and clear a solid macro entry.
The title sounds like a malignancy but I trust your name. Sharp, macro, perfect colours and hardly any noise....another winner. Why did I even bother entering this contest? Great shot and top marks.
(5 years and 602 days ago)Very much out of focus...this was not an easy contest as I also struggled with my eyes.
(5 years and 602 days ago)Yes, I would agree with photonut....OR....crop down until most are gone except maybe for the rays of that one light above.
(5 years and 602 days ago)Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and thank you for dedicating this image to me
(5 years and 602 days ago)I typed in "little yellow field flowers growing in France"....boy you sure have a lot of little yellow flowers growing !
(5 years and 602 days ago)I think this is:
Ragwort
Ragwort is a slow killer, and in many cases you won’t know your horse has eaten it until too late. It is common in pastures, growing up to 2 metres high when it flowers. It is instantly recognisable due to its bright yellow flowers. If a horse ingests it, it will gradually start to destroy the liver. A poisoned horse will lose weight despite eating normally, get extreme sunburn, go blind and eventually collapse if it isn’t caught early. The only way to protect your horse is to remove the weed completely from your field. Pull it up by the roots and burn the plant, so no pollen can spread. It is a resilient plant, and will nearly always grow back and spread to other pastures.
I know you are happy to have pretentious horse and not a live one. Am I right about the name?
Now that beast sitting there is a plain and humble bee, I didn't have to ask Uncle Google coz I know....
He's not a carpenter bee coz they are big and black but a plain old ordinary bee and I like this photo very much especially because his eyes are sharp "like a woman's tongue". The colours natural and this is an artistic upload.
Thank you for making me feel like crap. I do have a secret to share....we were smokers. We quit a few centuries back but lately my husband and I have one cigarette at noon, only one and we share it. Sometimes in life it feels good to be bad. Never mind, I like your message and agree and the photo is smack on the money for macro. Nice and sharp with a stinging message.
(5 years and 602 days ago)At our photo club we have had great long discussions on amputating the body as you have....some like it some don't ....I LOVE IT as it adds to the story and that one eye showing is creepy as is that clenched fist. Enjoyable entry to review and study, thank you.
(5 years and 602 days ago)I like the foreboding lines in this upload. The strong lines, soft and artistic give a feel that this is a painting. The eyecatch adds a surreal and mysterious touch. The title marries well with the photo. We feel a sense of BEWARE with this image.
(5 years and 602 days ago)I know you didn't want to but cranking up the saturation would have added more dynamic sparkle to these oysters which do have some lovely colouring showing through as is. I like that full frame presentation, it's great. YUM
(5 years and 602 days ago)I just knew you would post something like this and wow us all. I like that "I'm
(5 years and 602 days ago)peeking at you" feel to this upload. Sharp as a woman's tongue and just a joy to view. This looks like a winner in my eyes.
Nice, now if you win you are taking me out for a hot chocolate fudge sundae....deal?
(5 years and 603 days ago)I bet if you placed a bit of a vignette around these beauties they would jump out at you ! Nice and natural with good exposure shown on white and good detail.
(5 years and 603 days ago)THAT IS THE SOLUTION YEAH....yay and thank you. A photo that is both an A and an O.... Good shot, a wee bit blurred and I would have cropped out the black shadow at the bottom, but that is just me.
(5 years and 603 days ago)I didn't know that was called Osier, thank you for educating me and now I will look at this tree with a new set of eyes. Well caught because you have managed to show us how huge this tree is....this Osier is.
(5 years and 603 days ago)I have a feeling I may know the singer on the left. Is she from PEI? Nicely caught, a very prominent gray bias, have you tried to push the exposure lever a touch more?
(5 years and 603 days ago)Nice, sharp and exotic.
(5 years and 603 days ago)That's what I'm trying to tell everyone!
(5 years and 604 days ago)I still really like this shot and yesterday while walking I found a rose like this and shot it thinking of you.
(5 years and 604 days ago)Hi sweetie and congrats to you!
(5 years and 604 days ago)Congrats, loved the dreamy effect.
(5 years and 604 days ago)Congrats to you on your win!
(5 years and 604 days ago)Congrats on your win!
(5 years and 604 days ago)Congratulations on your wins and I want to thank you for inspiriing me with your work!
(5 years and 604 days ago)Hey, nice going and congratulations!
(5 years and 604 days ago)yayayaya mi amiga....CONGRATULATIONS.
(5 years and 604 days ago)Thank you for not ripping my head off, much appreciated.
(5 years and 606 days ago)Thank you. I must remember to do that more often. It looks fine except you do realize you have a dust spot on your sensor in the upper L section (in the sky) in the sky . If you tilt your screen backwards it will pop out at you.
(5 years and 606 days ago)It was built in 1868 and is in Europe somewhere.....Hungary?
(5 years and 606 days ago)I swear I was here....but I didn't take the photo. Nice and sharp and clear. Hallelujah.
(5 years and 606 days ago)I think this is simply excellent. You have him at eye level (how did you do that) and the texture is well caught nice and sharp. The composition is perfect with him coming into the frame and colour palette is natural. Sharp as a whisker and a delight to review.
(5 years and 606 days ago)Creative and lovely. Thank you.
(5 years and 606 days ago)merviellelux!
(5 years and 606 days ago)Creative +++++, top marks and thanks for the inspiration.
(5 years and 606 days ago)I like it...nice, well done.
(5 years and 606 days ago)This may be a wee bit oversharpened as one can pick out aberrations.
(5 years and 606 days ago)A well done stop action shot, frozen. You have this cropped tightly and that is your choice to highlight the colour orange and it works. I feel it may have had more visual punch had you given "room" for this speedboat to speed into , it would have made it a more dramatic photograph, and if you are who I think you are then I know you know this already, but if you are not who I think you are then forgive me.
(5 years and 608 days ago)A fun entry and this is one classy duck with her bellybutton showing and a fancy skirt. It is an orange entry and fits the criteria showing sharpness on the eyes (where it's supposed to fall) . Cute and did you create this?
(5 years and 608 days ago)This photo of a rose oozes out at me. It oozes the colour orange, but in delicate softness. It oozes details out but feels soft and fragile. I LOVE IT a very strong entry with focus on the rose and softness through the background. I also think you did a spot on job with marginal space giving enough room for this rose to bounce in the breeze and our eyes to gather information on the environment of the rose. The photograph glows with orange lusciousness. Top notch and thank you.
