Colourful and nicely framed to catch our eye and you succeeded. Very crisp and clear shot.
(5 years and 639 days ago)Cute. Was she really looking at that little red puppet in real life? Love the expression on her face.
(5 years and 639 days ago)Again a blast from the past , it looks real and well done.
(5 years and 639 days ago)Ohhhh how I wish you had given a bit of a story to this mysterious image. One says HALT the other says STOP. This is a blast from the past. Is it really the same road?
(5 years and 639 days ago)It is in a colour contest, sorry! arrrghhhh.
(5 years and 639 days ago)Yes, please do but I am traveling now, am in Sri Lanka until June but will definitely try some chops. I also find Skyangel and Zizounai great teachers.
(5 years and 639 days ago)There are many things to like about this unusual and out of the box post. First of all , I really like the tilt GOOD FOR YOU to do this and if anyone tells you to straighten the horizon line go tell them to eat their lens cap! The image is , of course busy, but there is a story within that can be seen. That busy feeling adds to the excitement of a fair. Your dof usage has been artistically used to give us viewers that "witnessing" feel, like we are peering into a life happening. I like this very much and I hope it does well for you on this contest.
(5 years and 639 days ago)The very first thought that came to my mind was I wonder how much a box of these cost, they look posh with a heavy price tag! The colours are vibrant, and eye appealing and your composition of the set up is well taken. It is a happy snappy shot. I took one like this in a bakery this morning of chocolate cakes. We need to have a chocolate contest up!
(5 years and 639 days ago)what a catch and we cannot help but say WOW. Do you think a tighter crop on the sides would have punched out the focal point in your photo?
(5 years and 639 days ago)This image would also do well in a colours contest. A very pretty shot, nice and clear with good POV. I like the light source shown as it accentuates the little fish. Colours are rich and not overcooked and marginal space makes the view a comfortable one.
(5 years and 639 days ago)Oh this looks luscious, a different aperture would have rendered the entire log in full sharpness, however, that was something you were not gunning for, I bet .
(5 years and 639 days ago)OMG this looks so good, oh so good. I love your plate too. The photograph is very well composed with good marginal space and the details are clearly seen with a good dynamic range of tones making it easy to digest. I do not have any suggestions for improvement but you do know that a circular focal point cropped into a square format gives strength to an image because the sides of the square are equidistant and our eyes bounce from side to side as we study the image and the eyes just don't want to leave the photo. Very well done.
(5 years and 639 days ago)As you well know, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the creativity shown by the artist's on this side of pxyleyes site. Also , as you most likely are aware I'm a newbie when it comes to this kind of manipulation and am so happy that there are teachers on here to guide one in the process. What I find amazing is the thought process you went through to get to the robot for y'see, I lack in a thought process but can see it is an evolution of ideas. Your SBS I found detailed and educational and thank you for that. You can feel free to really critique my entires, I won't rip your head off and will appreciate any suggestions for improvement.
(5 years and 639 days ago)It was well worth it!
(5 years and 639 days ago)I like the Armadillo lamp for he looks like he is sympathetic to Skyangel who is hidiing beneath the sheets from all those snakes!
(5 years and 639 days ago)Congratulations, it's a great piece.
(5 years and 639 days ago)Ohhh this looks like a lot of work and so well done. Congratulations on the win!
(5 years and 639 days ago)Congratulations, so deservant of this win! Magical work and great SBS explanation.
(5 years and 639 days ago)I bet you are a lot of fun to be with. This piece is hysterical, thank you.
(5 years and 640 days ago)I get so moved by photoshop section on this site. I have such a HUGE amount to learn and I'm glad there are teachers like you here.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Oh my , this is so creative and nicely executed. I find this simply inspirational and thank you.
(5 years and 640 days ago)I like the fun aspect to this shot which is well done, on a bit of an angle, topsy turvey feeling adds to the fun feel. The colour palette predominantly in red hues helps to highlight out 'Bart' with his blue pants. Thank you, an enjoyable view.
(5 years and 640 days ago)Having read your comments I went back to the photo to see if there was an illusion here and finally my eyes adjusted and yes, we could be looking down on the bike and not up....FANTASTIC. I love these kinds of shots that stir up my gray matter.
(5 years and 640 days ago)LOVE IT....like the ray of sunlight atop, the blue is crisp well saturated and it is so well centered. Top marks!
(5 years and 641 days ago)I think this image could improve without centered crop...keeping the men in boat to the right with more room for them to float into would help...however, that is strictly artistic prerogative and I bow to yours.
(5 years and 641 days ago)Love the patterns and the focal pop is perfect. Nice silhouette.
(5 years and 641 days ago)Really love the minimalism to this dramatic post. The black works so well....top marks in my books.
(5 years and 641 days ago)Lovely Zen like calming image. You do have some ghosting around the tree branches and a fair bit of noise. That orange reflection of the sun is placed artistically on the branch making it look like a burning bush errrr branch.
(5 years and 641 days ago)Nice quote, thank you. The image is a tad soft but very creative....and the colour palette in purple and pink hues is calming.
(5 years and 641 days ago)+++++ for your creative thinking and staging that has worked to bring a smile to my face. I like the slanted glide of the body and how he is floating into the dark background. Very lovely. You worked hard on this one, a photo made not a picture snapped, top marks.
(5 years and 641 days ago)This is more of a sunset photograph versus a silhouette photograph but that doesn't make it a bad shot, if anything, the setting sun ignites the whole scene.
(5 years and 641 days ago)What is a fire basket and what is it used for...other than silhouette photographs Strong image I like how there is a glow on the basket and how balanced the shot feel with the blow out on the water....they visually seem to compliment each other.
(5 years and 641 days ago)Good in monochrome. See that wee thing on the margin line at the right on the pier? It is sneaking into your shot. I know you can't clone out on this site but in case you are putting it up again elsewhere do consider taking that out. Still you get good high marks
(5 years and 641 days ago)Do you remember a time long agon when we were studying photography and our teachers used to tell us to put the camera away during harsh bright sunlight....well the heck with that because this shot clearly shows off the shadows and that is what makes this shot so eye catching. Top Marks.
(5 years and 641 days ago)I like the presentation here, it is solid and again the dynamic range gives added oooomph.
(5 years and 641 days ago)I feel the dynamic range on this photo is exquisite, what a punch it gives! Clarity, detail cropping all nicely done.
(5 years and 641 days ago)Good creativity and thinking outta the box. The steely gray palette also accentuates the image.
(5 years and 641 days ago)Rust....now that is a good title for a contest. Yes, and why not it is metal. I like the grunge effect and your considered composition shows you took a photo and not snapped a picture. Nice that you got all the nails in also.
(5 years and 641 days ago)My goodness where were you standing? That telephone pole in the distance gives sense of scale and this metal man must have been tremendously huge.
(5 years and 641 days ago)purrrrrrrfect. Love this one, sharp and clear and eye catching.
(5 years and 641 days ago)Well seen and caught. Were you thinking of this contest when you shot this? ha.
(5 years and 641 days ago)Love this it is so creepy and your technical aspects are well done ..nice gray tonality ...top marks.
(5 years and 641 days ago)Ahhh ha, should have know this was yours...simply grand
(5 years and 641 days ago)This reminds me of Denlig's spider photos with all the eyes (jumping spider I think)...it is spooky and feels intrusive a good catch.
(5 years and 641 days ago)Clock, like Big Ben...WOW would not have minded to see just a bit more.
(5 years and 641 days ago)Macro of metal, wonder what it is but the idea is nice.
(5 years and 641 days ago)same comment as previous shot
(5 years and 641 days ago)like your title and usage of dof. Cleverly done.
(5 years and 641 days ago)I like your composition, solid lines and the incorporation of steam helps to add extra value to an already good shot.
(5 years and 641 days ago)Animals have a special sense of the goodness in man. I know the dogs in China LOVED us...and were afraid of the Chinese, after all, the Chinese eat them. Hmmm that makes no sense does it, I bet you serve lamb chops!
