Looks like snow does not belong in this part of the world, yet here it is. A good eye to see this photograph.
(5 years and 650 days ago)Top notch...from POV to monochromatic handling. All is beautiful.
(5 years and 650 days ago)I feel less would have been more with this shot. I am not bothered by the negative space for it defines the grandmother or the other half of the image. However, the plantar the green wooden gate, detract, so when I say less is more had they been out , to me the image would have appeared stronger and less cluttered, negative space nothwithstanding.
(5 years and 650 days ago)I like the minimalist approach to this one, it is shocking.
(5 years and 650 days ago)A happy snappy shot!
(5 years and 650 days ago)British sense of humour
(5 years and 650 days ago)Careful with cutting the image in half...remember your horizontal cut rule in photography. I feel had you followed it you would have had a stronger shot, but don't get me wrong....it is a great image.
(5 years and 650 days ago)Sweet image and the title is great. It's a make us smile upload.
(5 years and 650 days ago)Very lovely panorama but do you not think it needs a bit more 'sparkle' ? perhaps a bit more exposure or work on levels.
(5 years and 650 days ago)Takes a photographer to see this and to change it to bw was the way to go. Top notch.
(5 years and 650 days ago)You may have a slight tilt to the right on this one. I like it for the interest factor.
(5 years and 650 days ago)Like this for the post processing , a bit out of the box and changing it to monochrome with a tint was great. Good composition.
(5 years and 650 days ago)1908 WOW .....100 years old. Was this a gift to you from your parents ? Love the grunge texture, the "in your face" treatment of the subject....a grand macro.
(5 years and 650 days ago)Yes, really nice lead lines on this and I do think your gradients are well done encompassing a wide range. Did you know that there are approximately 256 shades of gray?
(5 years and 650 days ago)Sharp on the closer eye and we can see every hair on her furry body. If it was any sharper we would cut ourselves on it.
(5 years and 650 days ago)You are a romantic and see beauty everywhere. I like this but it would have helped to have more of the rose in focus for a stronger photo, however, it is the artistic prerogative and I bow to yours.
(5 years and 650 days ago)Yes, why not. You caught the beauty of the "lace" within the tree branches. Lovely, simple and strong.
(5 years and 650 days ago)It is lovely how you have the base framed in silhouette it holds our eyes in very well.
(5 years and 650 days ago)I guess due to the smog in your area you are staying indoors and going through your stock of images. I like this one too, the focal point, the title, simple and strong following the KISS principle nicely.
(5 years and 650 days ago)Not only is the POV grand but I like the heavy saturation on this one, it is an OH WOW image.
(5 years and 650 days ago)What is especially nice in this sharp photo are the ghost like people shrouded in the mist as the side. The is also Photo Exhibtion material
(5 years and 650 days ago)I do think this is Photo Exhibition material and your title rocks!
(5 years and 650 days ago)I think we need a "from behind" contest. I like the exotica of this photo, technically sharp, has anyone mentioned those wires yet?
(5 years and 650 days ago)I love images like these that take us to faraway places and show us lives of others. This image has a lot going for it ....the colours and the absorption of the people into their work....they are oblivious of you and we get treated to see them au naturel, not posed.
(5 years and 650 days ago)sharp sharp sharp as a woman's tongue...What do you think about those red reflections at the base of the image....do they weaken the overall shot or add to it. I personally would have cropped up to get rid of them then there would have been no visual competition for the viewer.
(5 years and 650 days ago)Nice bucolic shot. Have you tried blending in a cloudy sky into the image by way of layers?
(5 years and 650 days ago)This is such a pleasure to view, it is full of excitement , warm glows, and your point of view rocks. You were walking on water to get this shot.
(5 years and 650 days ago)This would have done well in the blow out contest too. Nice high contrast image but you seem to have banding in the sky. Banding happens when in post processing you push the values too high. I like the two focal points acting like mirrors, each boat playing off the other.
(5 years and 650 days ago)Thanks, a very intriguing photo.
(5 years and 652 days ago)achhhh I should have known this was yours, always so imaginative are your creations.
(5 years and 654 days ago)Crystal clear, beautifully rendered, eye catching...nice work.
(5 years and 654 days ago)Oh Zizounai....you are making a groaning joke....and only one other person I know makes groaning jokes and he is from Britain. He always makes jokes and I always groan!
(5 years and 654 days ago)It is a story of a young life and of longing.
(5 years and 654 days ago)Your work is marvellous, simply marvellous.
(5 years and 654 days ago)Top notch.
(5 years and 654 days ago)Wish you had given a bit of background info on this stellar image.
(5 years and 654 days ago)I didn't know that ! ! ! ! Thank you for enlightening (light...get it) me. I also like your photo for the patterns that catch our eye and you do have a black background.
(5 years and 654 days ago)Full of romance and nice sharpness too, but it is the romance that made it for me!
(5 years and 654 days ago)Very good photo, nice sharpness, great mist, very moody. I like ti
(5 years and 654 days ago)Nice one again but no blowouts are there?
(5 years and 654 days ago)This is great, but I don't see any blow outs, but it is a good photograph..."seaside".
(5 years and 654 days ago)I want to get there one day...NOT RUSSIA...just St. Pete's
(5 years and 656 days ago)Hey congrats a triple crown.
(5 years and 657 days ago)Thank you for that link. I have looked it up and will consider installing when I get back home (in three months). I did look up your SBS and I think you have done a smack dab great job. XO
(5 years and 657 days ago)OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Crap, this is good, so so good. It instantly got an OH WOW out of me. I hope you can keep it in this contest, but what a manipulation...love it. It inspires me to try something today, all thanks to your entry.
(5 years and 657 days ago)Wish you didn't speak Greek because I don't understand your process but am inspired by your upload especially the skin, which looks frozen. Very nice close up too. Thank you.
(5 years and 658 days ago)This looks to me like a "hellofa" lot of work and it is done to perfection (in my eyes) clear and strong and frozen too. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. Thank you.
(5 years and 658 days ago)Congratulations...good going
(5 years and 660 days ago)Beautiful shot...CONGRATULATIONS
(5 years and 660 days ago)HA....I knew it....CONGRATULATIONS on your first win on pxyleyes, it won't be the last...I know there are many more where this one came from.
