Those are Doc Martin boots aren't they? I used to wear them all the time in Canada. I really like the artistry of this photograph. The colour palette of indigo blue and yellow strikes out at us, the yellow of the wire, the bells and the stitching all melds together nicely. The microphone tells the story that these bells and these feet have a story to sing out to the world. Very lovely photograph.
(5 years and 746 days ago)I can just see the photographer on their belly taking this shot with the rest of the audience looking at you rather than the dancer...ha. Lovely POV the only way to go. Crop is good giving a bit more space for those happy feet to go into and I'm taken with her toes, all painted a different colour...hmmmm I will have to try that. Nice. Exotic.
(5 years and 746 days ago)What a great idea and title...ha, I like it. Those sprinkles of sand make this foot look rather radiant, well perhaps that is a bit strong, if not radiant then certainly dressed to kill. Nice and sharp, good colour saturation and it looks almost Xmassy...
(5 years and 746 days ago)After scrolling through all these churches POOF along comes this one that made me giggle. Yes, a well-taken photograph, sharp and I bet if you changed this to black and white the grunge on the church wall would really pop even more. I like this, not many a person would photograph this, it takes a photographer to see beyond the photo. Thank you for this post, it made me smile.
(5 years and 746 days ago)Where is the rest of the church, did you clone it out? he he he he. Nice evening shot but too bad about that glare. Looks like it could be a Greek Orthodox church.
(5 years and 746 days ago)WOW look at all those patterns, great church, great catch. A natural and unpretentious photograph, sharp as a whisker.
(5 years and 746 days ago)Hi Joe, look in the upper L hand corner of your image, see that?! naughty naughty naughty....you cloned out those wires but forgot them there.....arrggghh.
(5 years and 746 days ago)Never mind, the church itself is my kinda place, small humble sweet and I like the dynamic range you caught.
An absolutely lovely photograph with a story to boot. I love the humble feel of this church (something that the arrogant and show-offy citadels of Europe have too much of). You have composed it nicely to the side and that little boat is the icing on this well-baked cake. Good dof used and colour saturation is natural. Just nice through and through.
(5 years and 746 days ago)Where is Gura Humorului? (I know I know google it ). It looks like a church I wouldn't mind stumbling upon whilst riding on my motorcycle through the hills of somewhere in Eastern Europe. Did you get some good closeups of the mosaic work too?
(5 years and 746 days ago)Hello there handsome, yup I like this one because of the environment, the landscape caught. When we view this we really can see that it is a little church on the mountain.
(5 years and 746 days ago)I like the mood caught, well balanced too.
(5 years and 746 days ago)Good on you to tilt this, outta da box, and it works.
(5 years and 746 days ago)Yes, I seem to remember something "special" about them. Thank you for enlightening me. I like the tonal quality of your image you have a good range there.
(5 years and 753 days ago)If you used your Levels you could have darkened it, mind you it would have darkened the whole image....don't think the mid tone lever would have done the job.
(5 years and 753 days ago)FANTASTIC SIMPLY FANTASTIC....you need to make a poster outta this and send it to Bejing.
(5 years and 754 days ago)Simply wonderful, wonderful ...so full of feeling, spookiness.
(5 years and 754 days ago)High price tag but worth it. I'm always impressed with this side of pxleyes, EGADS you do such an outstanding presentation and your creativity shines. Do you eat spinach to get your gray matter working so well?

(5 years and 754 days ago)Gorgeous, but you do need to clone out the white hair inside her nostril before you give her this photograph.
(5 years and 754 days ago)Another winner in my eyes....love it.
(5 years and 754 days ago)Ha, I thought this was yours. It is really lovely, full of warmth and warms my heart. I love the shadow, the hair clips match the stained glass lamp. Just simple perfectemente (as they say in France...ha).
(5 years and 754 days ago)LOVE IT ....I think it could have used a touch more exposure but it is still top notch for story .
(5 years and 754 days ago)For some reason, I find this image heartwarming. What a nice scene to stumble upon...natural, fresh, breezy.

(5 years and 765 days ago)EGADS Sylvie, I can't find the sign, where is it?
(5 years and 766 days ago)What, nobody is on their cellphone? What century was this taken and where - Toronto? Just curious as this could be my old home town.
(5 years and 768 days ago)Nope can't spot the intruder. I have nailpolish called Ketchup too....just kidding. Love the way you interpreted this contest and the image itself brings a smile to our faces. Clear sharp red, errr I mean ketchupy (is that a word?). Nice to see the cleverness of entries for this one, thank you for starting the ball rolling.
