LOVE LOVE LOVE that you had the balls to tilt this and it works.
(5 years and 872 days ago)WOW the colours and the patterns make this one jump out at me.
(5 years and 873 days ago)Love this one, good composition, plenty of breathing space and the joined cars make for a great pattern against an unobtrusive background.
(5 years and 873 days ago)Really love the composition on this. Europe somewhere isn't it? Colours good....a grrrrrrrreat catch.
(5 years and 873 days ago)Minimalism, strong image and the fact that the humans are looking at the bull is well caught. Nice one.
(5 years and 873 days ago)Hi there, nice to see you posting. I like the thought that went into taking this photo and you have good photographer's eyes to see this....and shoot it too.
(5 years and 873 days ago)You have wonderful photographer's eyes. Good catch.
(5 years and 873 days ago)Love the story seen with this upload. This is a keeper for sure.
(5 years and 873 days ago)ick.........love it. Good eyes there to see this.
(5 years and 873 days ago)Good for you tilting this...like it.
(5 years and 873 days ago)Like it, full of mystery tone is good for this one.
(5 years and 873 days ago)crisp and nice good to see all those patterns.
(5 years and 873 days ago)Good POV, nice catch, colourful and fun.
(5 years and 873 days ago)From shadow effect to tonal ranges this piece rocks. Love your blending. Just perfect....and it does have that oh wow factor built in.
(5 years and 873 days ago)WOW I love this especially with sepia tone gives it that "huh" feel and makes us ask is this for real. I really think you did a great job on this piece although a bit more marginal space would not have hurt.
(5 years and 873 days ago)What a grrrrrrrreat idea. Your post is clear and crisp and well done. The light on the child makes her pop against the darkened universe and the colourful planets are the icing on the cake.
(5 years and 873 days ago)Ewww what a horrible nightmarish thought this is to be nipped by these ants (which I have been)....You have a white halo around your ant which is soft....I love the idea here.
(5 years and 873 days ago)You have achieved a dream like quality to your presentation as the child and snout of bear are behind a mist, the ear of the bear and part of his torso appear clear and sharp as if the clouds are moving.
(5 years and 873 days ago)Well, to me this looks just fine, shadows and all. I like the tonal range that melds into each other....it doesn't look pasted on but real.
(5 years and 873 days ago)Realistic and well done especially in the tonal ranges which appear in harmony throughout your work.
(5 years and 873 days ago)You even have dust showing as the elephants make their escape from the giant mouse which is soft and appears almost dreamlike....dreamlike is this whole scene, very nicely done.
(5 years and 873 days ago)So you didn't think we would catch that cow in the little boy's basket, love his expression: he is very serious about not falling on the village. The two little girls appear soft in the corner and I can hear their giggles. Creative. I so enjoy coming over to this side of pyxleyes and marveling at the work posted.
(5 years and 873 days ago)I really love the out of the box thinking on this post. Pretty dolly this is not but the end of this dolls life and changing to black and white with a great POV such as you have is perfect to my eyes. The story is strong and very appealing. A tad ghoulish which also appeals to me. You are a photographer with an artistic bend and thank you for posting this and teaching us to look beyond the pretty dollies because they do exist in a variety of cycles. Wonderful.
(5 years and 874 days ago)I bet this was grand in colour....looks grand in maroon too! You do have a prominent halo all around, that is a sign of overworking the image. This is well framed with good marginal space all around and the story telling effect is really nice.
(5 years and 874 days ago)Some serious bling there. Nice image and I particularly like the tone you chose for this...it is gently hued yet the jewel shines through. Good framing. Would be nice if that center stone was sharper, overall well done.
(5 years and 874 days ago)YES YES YES for storytelling. Great capture. Could use a touch of brightness.
(5 years and 874 days ago)I like the visual confusion of this post...and that is a good thing. All three are going their own ways, they are in their own world, your title is appropriate and I really like the monochrome of this shot. Good one...this.
(5 years and 874 days ago)These guys are really seriously following instructions, or they could be British (oooops ). I love studying the faces of the dancers, and of course their outfits. Love the chubby lady with polkadots looking at you. A very airy photograph, full of fun and frolick, just wish more emotion would have come across...you needed to bark at them! Technically lovely shot.
(5 years and 874 days ago)Ha, lucky parrot, what an outfit he must be wearing. A very lovely and eye catching full frame photograph showing off the variations of colour and their gradients. The detail has been well caught by your dof, the colours lively but not overcooked and that would have been so tempting to do (and ruin the image ) . It is an honest respectable photograph.
(5 years and 874 days ago)Quite the wooden face, sepia is appropriate.
(5 years and 875 days ago)Nice one congrats on your win.
(5 years and 875 days ago)Oh my this is a good one and of course blue....brrrrr, blue. A nice frame to hold everything in for us. It is a gloomy day and you caught that so well with your exposure reading I really like how the weak sun is trying to make a statement, trying to brighten up the gloom of the day. This is the kind of photograph that the more you look at it the more you fall in love with it. Nice upload.
(5 years and 877 days ago)Fine photographic art. The gentle sepia is so perfect for it is a fragile colour which helps to highlight the softness of this flower, just emerging. The dark center with excellent detail caught is a wonderful visual balance. The sweep of the petals adds visual excitement as well. To me, this is top notch, and I would buy this, matte it, frame it, and hang it on a wall.
(5 years and 877 days ago)This bluish colour was used in old days by a famous Swedish photographer. I think it is an appropriate monotone for it stimulates and the excitement shown in the character marries well with blue. I love the expression caught and that says so much about the relationship betweeen photographer and subject and as far as relationship between me (the viewer) and subject, well, it makes me want to know him for I know he is a fun and fine gentleman. Your capture is well done with sharpness shown and good exposure especially on the white shirt, keeping the piano there adds to the story of fun fun fun. A bit of mystery also as I have no idea what he is holding...........and that is a good thing.
(5 years and 877 days ago)Thoughtful compositional style coming down to capture main focal point and love how the other bales of hay in the distance have been kept in this photo. Sepia tone, yes, why not....it sends us back in time. Nice one this.
(5 years and 877 days ago)You did a great job on this with POV and sepia works so well for this "old" gun from WW2. Nice and sharp with a bit of vignette. Good one this.
(5 years and 877 days ago)You have so much going here for you. The light shadow play is simply dynamic. You have mystery with that person and you have wonderful patterns caught. I also love the grunge or texture that can be felt with this excellent upload. Top marks from me dear author. This is really beyond great it is photography nirvana.
(5 years and 877 days ago)Top of the shelf. Clarity spot on, nice gentle vignette, exposure magnificent, marginal space adequate and KAZAMMMMMM a dynamic diagonal slant. Purrrrfect.
(5 years and 877 days ago)Ha....I thought this was you. Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect. Love the details, nice and sharp and excellent entry and love the full frame.
(5 years and 877 days ago)Nice colour palette and composition I love but it is a bit soft.
(5 years and 877 days ago)Ahhh nice but a bit soft.
(5 years and 877 days ago)Congrats on this win.
(5 years and 879 days ago)Congrats on this handsome win.
(5 years and 879 days ago)Yes to this breezy and lovey upload following horizontal cut rules of photography. (I KNOW I KNOW RULES ARE FOR FOOLS). Great upload for this contest.
(5 years and 879 days ago)"I've looked at clouds from both sides now" (sorry that song is in my head now thanks to your upload). The contest asked for sky and you socked it to us. A really nice shot...could be a study of blue.
(5 years and 879 days ago)Natural and nice, not overcooked (it would be tempting wouldn't it to overcook). I like the horizon cut rule applied. (I KNOW I KNOW RULES ARE FOR FOOLS). Great entry.
(5 years and 879 days ago)There is a nice open and fresh feel to this image and the sky is center stage. I really like the composition following photographic rules of horizon cut ( I KNOW I KNOW RULES ARE FOR FOOLS) ....sometimes applying rules works well as it has for this well taken image.
(5 years and 879 days ago)Exciting sky and nice to catch those two silhouettes as it adds perspective. I like that the colours are natural and not overcooked at all.
(5 years and 879 days ago)Very eyecatching but soft and overcooked (chemicalized). You are lucky to have these scenes right in front of your camera.
(5 years and 879 days ago)I do I do I do....alas. pfffffft
