Hello, really nice yellow colour (ahem, get it?) ...at least it's not a flower . My only hitch is that orange car protruding from the side, but it is what it is...had you stepped a little more to the right side you could have hid that part.

How can we NOT fall in love with this well taken image with the focus on the two newborns/err newly hatched. Great composition, considered dof, natural colours, good marginal space all round. Top notch.

Do you remember in photography school how our profs used to tell us never to shoot anything from behind? Well, pfffffffft to that and this image proves that we ought to break rules as they are only for fools. I love the story of this photo, the anticipation, the alertness of that dog and no amount of muck in the world is going to stop him from going....any moment now...soon.

I love the intense look on this child's face. He takes his play seriously. I wonder what he will grow up to be. This is a good shot of a dirty little boy enjoying himself although does not seem too happy with your intrusion. Sharp and good focal point with enough photographic information included to give the viewer a pleasant sotry.

This person is so happy in the muck it almost makes me want to join in the fun. I checked your post in the high resolution as it looks a bit soft and it is so in the high resolution as well. I imagine he was moving quickly....errr sliding quickly. I like how he is the sole focal point...he and the muck.

I like the photojournalistic quality of this photo, the story and frankly I can smell this too. The man absorbed by his work and although it really doesn't look all that dirty I can imagine once the guts start spilling out it is a mess.

Yes, these dirty cars always seem to have a message on them "clean me clean me". I do think had the cropping been tighter just to show part of the 'dirty car' it would have had a greater visual impact....simply because we know it's a car, but the focus would have been on the dirt.

Great shot that tells us a lot about the photographer and her 'aristocratic' sensibilities..."mon diue". Love the colours too, muted maroon and gold. Very nice post and I'm so happy I guessed you correctly.

This image seen in high resolution is not as blurry as on the large upload, but there is still some blur. He seems to be more absorbed in you than in the song and that communicates with the viewer. Personally, I would have liked to have seen him in the throes of an emotional song. Nice tonal ranges to this shot which give it clarity.

Where have I seen this photo before? The low POV rocks and pulls us into this sleeping pair. Your tonal ranges from black to white and mid gray works to give the image clarity and sparkle. Personally, the white vignette robs the image but that is my own opinion, a minor moan. Sharp and clear and the tight crop keeps our eyes on the main stars of the show.

Achhhh you are not alone. My eye has been caught by those dried tomatoes in the foreground YUM. It looks like it is 20 minutes after 7 according to your watch and you have been on the phone all day? The way the intensity/and concentration of the model has been taken is really excellent providing us with story of how centered this individul is to the task at hand. Is there really such a thing as a guilty pleasure? I love the story here, well done, nicely cropped yet showing others who are near this girl but she remains cocooned.

YES YES YES to succumbing to guilty pleasures , but is there really such a thing as a guilty pleasure? I loved exploring this image. My eyes travelled along a delightful visual journey first being astonished at the prices / per pound. Then I read the first word in all the ingredients "SUGAR" and lastly I looked at the delights on hand. As you well know, colour affects us carbon based bi-peds in many ways and your explosion of colours and shapes delights the viewers. From jelly beans to melty mints all is sharp and so clear to see and that diagonal slash reallly boosts the holding power of this image. Technically well done too, natural and unpretentious and oh so delicious.

LOL, well let's get together then...me too, gummy bears, jelly beans, ice cream. This image looks soft on the upload, but it is OK in high resolution. The cornucopia of colours gives us a visual eye candy treat. Nice crystal bowl set against a black background. You thought about creating the perfect photo and it worked. You most likely know that a circular point of view formatted into a perfect square really intensifies the holding power of an image as our eyes bounce off the equidistant sides of the four corners.

Love your description, it made me laugh out loud because I have been a victim to this one dollar syndrome of buying, buying, buying, what I don't need. I love the photo and the inclusion of humans who obviously indulge in "guilty pleasures", there is a good story here. The photograph is sharp, your considered framing is evident and viewers can tell that this was a photo that you thought about and created, not just a happy snappy shot. Good one....and thank you for my morning chuckle.

Photograph has a professional look to it with lovely bokeh that echoes the little mini cake both in colour and subject matter. Well positioned on the frame and colours delight us visually so much so that it becomes "eye candy". Technical aspects well done, focal point is sharp, tonal ranges rich. Personally, I think a bit tighter crop would not have hurt at all.

Much clearer in high res. Usually when I vote on an image, if it is not clear, I always go to high res and I'm glad I did with this. Clear and sharp and a mystery to me how you got that one jelly bean to stand at attention?! I like the mottling effect of red on the yellow and that creates a story for I thought it was a lichen of some sort. Lichen on a jelly bean....I need to ask you what flavour this one was....no no no no no you cannot stop at one! Well framed and thank you for sharing this. Today I will buy some - all thanks to you.

How can we not fall in love with this lovely "wee beastie". Because you have full sharpness on the eyes you captivate us with your post. I am curious about his iris and what an unusual shape they are. No, it does not matter that you have nipped his ears off because it's about the eyes and of course those whiskers that are as sharp "as a whisker". Your tonal ranges are vast with black to white and gray in between. Did you know there are 256 shades of gray? I love how the background disappears for all the attention is on that "smushable" face. What is his name please.

Looks to me like your upload has called up more berries to be viewed. I love the presence of this berry in minimal colour palette so that the red juiciness pops out and seduces us into dreams of whip cream and berries. This is a no nonsense image taken at an exact and thought out point of view that instantly engages the viewers. Furthermore, the berry, the main focal point is sharp and nothing at all interferes with the viewer's journey into this portrait of a berry. Colours are natural and sincere. A delight! I find it interesting that I, who usually hates snakes, find this fellow rather sweet looking and endearing, no doubt it is because of the way you composed him. The eye catch is really well done and that is the first thing I saw, were those innocent eyes and he looks almost frightened of that lens of yours. You captured him well, he is sharp as a pin, and the colour is real without overcooking in any aspect. The dof is also nice with softness as we look in but enough to show his habitat. Also, you do not have anything that competes with his portrait. I think we ought to give him a name....how about HARRY ! wink

Your post processing on this image ROCKS ! The tonal ranges are vast and deep and the mid tones bring out the details beautifully. PLUS - the colour palette with predominantly blue hues really punches out the yellow balcony. Yellow never looks as yellow as when placed amidst blue. The flowers clearly seen, the frame gives a homogeneous feel echoing the bricks that are in this image. Really top notch in my books, congratulations on taking a lovely photograph that holds the viewer's attention.

This is such a clean , well shot image that causes the viewer to get lost in all the detail. The predominantly warm hues of copper throughout also hold our eye and how appropriate that the hair of both humans contains that hue as well....serendipity, yes! Well framed. Nicely caught but it is too bad the humans are not communicating with the viewer. Did you try to catch their attention?

I love the feeling I get from this shot. It spooks me for it reminds me of a nursing home and a lost patient. Photographs and photography is especially good when a story can be felt, so your image soars to the top of the pile for bringing out an emotion out of me! I love it. You have ample 'frame' in darkness to further enhance that spooky feeling. I also like the blur of the hand, the motion felt. Good one, thank you.

The emotive aspect of this image is felt strongly. We feel like we are on a ship, lying down on a deck chair and looking beyond. I like how you have everything sharp but am wondering if a closer crop on the right might do the image justice. Can you see the dark bar there? That hard line takes our eyes out of your photograph and you want to do everything possible to keep the viewer's eyes in the shot. The diagonal sweep of railing adds a lot of visual excitement. Your colour palette is natural and refreshing.
