ooops sorry, no you cannot remove that, she may not like it.
(5 years and 987 days ago)Sweet, liked it.
(5 years and 987 days ago)This is a well taken photograph that is not blown out . Did you know yellow is one of the hardest colours to photograph? You have done well. The detail is also sharp and I like the natural story. It is what you would find in nature.
(5 years and 987 days ago)Wonderful, how in heaven's did you catch this beauty? I cannot decide if I'm looking at his back end or front! The colours highlighted are superb and placing him with no distracting background is a photographic mystery.
(5 years and 987 days ago)Colourful yes and what a great tribute, nicely seen and caught.
(5 years and 987 days ago)You have highlighted the hammock by framing it with nature that is available to you. It is too bad that the trunk of that palm slices through your hammock, also the grasses and parapharnelia distract somewhat.
(5 years and 987 days ago)I like the title of this piece, it is so on the button. As you know titles can make or break a sale at a gallery showing and titles are part of the creative process. My eye keeps going to the rice that is stuck on her mouth, if the site allowed it could be cloned out, maybe when you present this as a gift to her you could clone out the white rice to make a stronger image. Love the skin tones, well done.
(5 years and 987 days ago)I like the story of the image and placement of the cowboy surrounded and lost in the grasses. He's concerned about something by the looks of it and I can't help but wonder what has caught his eye. Technically the image is great and the marginal space all around gives us room to breathe.
(5 years and 987 days ago)Doesn't look like he's sleeping, rather looks worried, maybe even in pain and on the verge of tears. It is too bad that you have such hot spots throughout this image, you need to underexpose then you can bring back detail but if you are shooting on A mode you will get burn outs like you have.
(5 years and 987 days ago)Relaxed looks like a real kitty you could pat, for now. Sharp image and good marginal space.
(5 years and 987 days ago)Yes, I notice that, it's a much much better upload.
(5 years and 988 days ago)I never knew a flower like this existed. I love the feeling of the plant "raining down" on us thanks to the patterns that repeat. The image is highly pixellated most likely from a strong zoom. To fill the entire frame with the plant makes for a visually exciting photograph.
(5 years and 988 days ago)Thumbs up. I love the way you presented the smallness of grains against a coin and made us look closely. Thank you also for your artist's notes I enjoy learning about an image and didn't know that. Your sharpness is seen through the planes of the image. Remember that circular objects formatted onto a perfect square give a very strong photograph and you did this. I also like the dark vignette. This image holds the viewer nicely.
(5 years and 988 days ago)It is still a very lovely presentation.
(5 years and 988 days ago)Try to increase the contrast a bit more to get the deep rich colours out, see if you like it better. You did a great job by including all these colourful patterns fully into the entire frame. Very nice.
(5 years and 988 days ago)A feeling of warmth emanates from your photo of this lily. The warm sunshine hues nourish this flower after the rain. It is a nicely composed photograph showing sharpness on stamens and delicatness of this flower.
(5 years and 988 days ago)Your area is so full of history. Wish I could visit someday.
(5 years and 988 days ago)Your lead lines take us to that all important grid point and it works. Full of patterns, not only in the required right angle, but also a delightful tease of tree branches in the distance. Sharp and good dof. Nice one.
(5 years and 988 days ago)The tonal qualities shine in this presentation. Crisp and clear and the icing on this well baked cake is a human figure which always acts as an anchor point for our visual journey. Love the light source, the brilliance. This upload shines.
(5 years and 988 days ago)The light source on this is very effective. You take us from darkness into the light and into your angles, very cleverly done. At first I thought those were film reels on the ground and then recognized them to be faces, screaming. Very symbolic this photo....from darknes into the light where man is moving hopefully in a positive direction.
(5 years and 988 days ago)My heart tells me I"ve been here before. I like the colour palette, blues, yellows and lichen greens. The fence taking us by the "eye" and leading us into your photograph which breathes to us of a cool fall day. I like the artistry of this piece. If you have photoshop try using a painterly filter on this and change it to a Cezanne! (just a tip to have fun with it )
(5 years and 988 days ago)Right angles, diagonals, stripes, cool blues, lavenders and a pop of warmth in that honey coloured square. What is there not to like about this eye tangling piece all seen through the diffusion of a screen. Ahhh you do need photographer's eyes to have seen this and shot it as squarely and finely as you have. Grrreat.
(5 years and 988 days ago)I really like how the colours pop on this presentation. The sky and grass seem well married and support this old church in historic beauty. The red wreath also is a focal anchor point where our eyes tend to rest. Branches right on that L margin can easily be eliminated for a smoother photo. I bet this place is haunted - good entry.
(5 years and 988 days ago)Sparkles with exactness of angles. Warm in colour palette and zen like in cleanliness. Love the added angles found in the shoji. Sharp and clear and takes us in.
(5 years and 989 days ago)This is your first win...BIG BIG CONGRATS...I hope you are on cloud 9. You will be winning many more of this I'm certain.
(5 years and 989 days ago)The moderator gave a better answer than I could have.
(5 years and 989 days ago)Nice to see churches being renovated in Russia. This photograph looks like a drawing with soft pencils, it has a very nice gentle quality to it. Straight as a pin, gentle clouds cocooning around the steeple a lovely scene.
(5 years and 989 days ago)I am a great fan of chiaroscuro and this is so appropriate for this image which speaks to us through shadows of history. It feels old and damp and has a deep rich history. It is too bad you cut off the halo and tip of the statue's head but it is a photo full of history.
(5 years and 989 days ago)I was trying to read the label on the front glue stick and would have preferred a sharper image at the front. Still the creative dof is present and the image looks as if you worked hard to present us with a photograph made, versus a photograph taken.
(5 years and 990 days ago)Why not? I gravitate towards the warmth tones and find that the orange hues bounce nicely with the green of the Cascade box. The message here is clear and we get it instantly. So glad you included clean dishes and not the other way around.
(5 years and 990 days ago)Is this a dishwashing soap or softener for the laundry? I am confused a bit by the message. Photographically well done in technical elements.
(5 years and 990 days ago)I really like the 'artistic' feel to this not only in the placement of the fruit and it's colour but by the white vignette that surrounds it. Sharp , clear, and juicy. SOLD
(5 years and 990 days ago)Quite the serious looking engineer! Sharp and clear with story to tell and helmet to sell. SOLD
(5 years and 990 days ago)Did you place this against your computer screen because if you did WOW I love it. WEll composed and the colour palette is through the roof wonderful.
(5 years and 990 days ago)Merry Christmas to you too! From the well saturated colour to the message the product is clearly seen in abundance. That is an expensive item for 10 Euros. Your photograph has good impact with sharpness well rendered and natural formating with good marginal space.
(5 years and 990 days ago)I am not an apple farmer but if I was I would want my apples to look this way. Water, is life giving, as is the apple and you have married the two together in a beautiful way. The dof could be sharper and did you use a tripod? I do love the light source shining from above. I can hear the crunch. The fact that you chose a nice black background further punctuates the main focal point. Love the crop for it is out of the box thinking and it works.
(5 years and 990 days ago)Beautiful turquoise and blue hues but the attention is on that very hot tip. That's it "I HAVE A HOT TIP FOR YOU" ....
(5 years and 990 days ago)A photograph that spears us in the heart. Yes yes yes I would adopt this little dog and he is looking right at your lens, therefore at us. Clear sharp and with a heart tugging story.
(5 years and 990 days ago)It is the dreamy effect you have managed to capture that makes this image transcend. These are, by the way, melt in your mouth and the punctuation of good colour on the macaroons gives us viewers primary on the product. The company making these macaroons will give you the job!
(5 years and 990 days ago)This photo has a professional touch to it. I happen to love chick peas.
(5 years and 990 days ago)WOW thank you for that link and it showed the interior of the church as well, that murano glass is stunning.
(5 years and 990 days ago)Hurray for the ethnic Slavic groups, many groups, many eggs all delight us with their artistry as does your photograph.
(5 years and 990 days ago)Peeking over the shoulder POV highlights her sketch. Can't help but notice the camera too .
(5 years and 990 days ago)Yes, the sky has that magical mercifulness to it.
(5 years and 990 days ago)I'm trying to read the writing on the sign. Where is this church located?
(5 years and 990 days ago)I appreciate you telling me this, what a great tip. I think another artist here did the same thing with forks and won, probably you he he he he. Thank you again.
(5 years and 990 days ago)Not many people put up photos of people praying or worshipping so I take my hat off to you for being brave. I love photos like this that tell us a story of another place, another time, another culture. Had her eyes been on the incense or on the statuette it would have been a more powerful image. Our photography teachers used to tell us sometimes it is worth waiting for the photograph to be born. I still like this shot and think it is an excellent entry.
(5 years and 990 days ago)Love your artist's notes, yes so true. Humble, simple yet welcoming and that is what caught your eye. Well exposed, sharp, and I'm glad you left that photographic information at the right to further flush out details of locale of this place of worship. It is a church I wouldn't hesitate to enter, not like some other overpowering cathedrals or temples.
(5 years and 990 days ago)Ahhh this is good. The contest asks for places of worship and KAPOW here you have a well exposed little church sitting somewhere in Crete that caught your eye while you were on vacation there. It is a solid photograph with an interesting lead line in diagonal to take us to a thoughtfully composed photograph.
(5 years and 990 days ago)We feel humbled by the power of nature that comes across in this image. Well composed with inclusion of foreground to take us in. How interesting you caught a hint of warm sunlight, spelling hope, that the storm will pass. Just an image that we can easily get lost in. Nice entry.
