Is there a wee tilt to the L on this? Like the straight in your face presentation.
(5 years and 1003 days ago)Lost in a sea of red. A closer crop perhaps? Nice and clear and feels Italian, mama mia.
(5 years and 1003 days ago)A bit of a curve of black to red. Did you hold camera paralle to this hot blooded Italian? Nice symmetry, and artistic in it's simplicity.
(5 years and 1003 days ago)Hi love the patina, the grunge but that round object in lower left steals part of the show.
(5 years and 1003 days ago)Loved this one, congrats on your deserving win.
(5 years and 1004 days ago)Congrats on this win.
(5 years and 1004 days ago)Hey, congrats on your win!
(5 years and 1004 days ago)Congrats on your win !
(5 years and 1004 days ago)Congratulations on this win.
(5 years and 1004 days ago)All are at the ready and such a colourful piece that delights our eyes. You do have some hot spots showing. Your considered dof works for me with a slight blur of the horse in front and sharpness as we enter into the image.
(5 years and 1004 days ago)I wonder if one ever loses the love for cotton candy? I see within your photograph another photographer with her tripod. A lovely clear photograph, sharp, and well exposed.
(5 years and 1004 days ago)Like it, good exposure in this night photo. You were there with your tripod? A quiet scene and all are waiting for that I WON I WON moment to bloom.
(5 years and 1004 days ago)Nice hdr on this, makes your image pop. The roof in the foreground does take up some space but our eyes get lost in the myriad of stories to be found. I was looking for deep fried chocolate bars (have yet to try one). Very pretty upload.
(5 years and 1004 days ago)Excellent stop action photography here, you have nailed it and the story is great. Sorry to see you have amputated the human in half but H C BRESSON did the same thing and look where it got him!
(5 years and 1004 days ago)Mind boggling great. Movement is felt, your shutter speed is perfect with the exact amount of exposure. You have no hot spots and clearly you and your camera seem to be the best of friends.
(5 years and 1004 days ago)Purple is the colour of menopause, sigh. I would not have minded to see more purple and more hair but we get the gist. This portrait makes me feel that if I met this woman I would like her instantly. YOu did a good job to catch the emotion.
(5 years and 1005 days ago)It is most important that YOU like it. You have to listen to your creative angel that is sitting there on your shoulders whispering to you. Take what reviewers tell you with a grain of salt...nay a bushel and only apply changes that feel right to you. Yes, I like it better
(5 years and 1005 days ago)Richmond Hill Ontario but grew up in Toronto.
(5 years and 1005 days ago)I just wish more people would comment - good and constructive comments I yearn for. How else are we to improve in our craft. Renfrew Ontario...ahhh home.
(5 years and 1005 days ago)....and when she turns 50 she will STILL be daddy's little girl....trust me on that! Lovely, a keeper....all you have to do is matte this, frame this and hang this.
(5 years and 1005 days ago)Ha, I thought he was being castrated and I kept looking in all the wrong places! Good thinking with this photograph. The "grass" in the lower portion is a tad burned out but we do get the picture.
(5 years and 1005 days ago)Woaaaaaaah, you were waiting for this contest to appear! Great passage of time here and technically this shot is well done.
(5 years and 1005 days ago)I love the imagination that went into this upload. Orange and black stand out and your skill in photography is evident.
(5 years and 1005 days ago)What a gorgeous memorable portrait shot and I agree with Olivia, I too don't like things that fall out (like my hair for example). The mood of this photo is precious, dimly lit, she in deep thought. It is however full of noise and that is most likely due to high ISO and low light. Also not sharp, again most likely do to shallow dof. I love the story here.
(5 years and 1005 days ago)Hi there. It is her face makeup that steals the show and not her hair. Technically nicely done and a spontaneous image.
(5 years and 1005 days ago)I see the British sense of humour with this post. I like that white vignette, good thinking. An engaging image.
(5 years and 1005 days ago)You are one brave photographer but I see you have zoomed this in quite a bit as it is soft! Love the story and the centered composition. They actually don't smell all that bad, very natural smell (ahem).
(5 years and 1005 days ago)Not an easy shot to get down so low and capture this little rascal. Looks like he is about to bolt and you caught him nice and sharp on his home turf. Hairy tail, hairy "wee beastie", nice one.
(5 years and 1005 days ago)Looks like a professional shot. Sharp, great exposure, interesting in colour scheme , the earring and pink tones of skin hues detract but overall I really like the post.
(5 years and 1005 days ago)Good grief this is good. It certainly speaks of hair and there is not a doubt in anyone's mind that is what you are trying to show. A few forgiveable hot spots on the frame and love his nose (NOT)! A delightful photo that made me laugh.
(5 years and 1005 days ago)Nice spontaneous photo but the girl on the left looks like she is after that sandwich that has snuck it's way into the photograph. Too bad about that shadow on her face. You have two stories here: the girl getting her hair done with the girl on the right and the left of the frame is a totally other story.
(5 years and 1005 days ago)Hare hair here, hippity hop! Titles are part of the creative process and they DO MATTER especially in gallery showings. Love this and it would be a good entry into a camoflauge contest. Good marginal space but centered subject , why not try to place to the side and give him room to run into and excite the viewer visually.
(5 years and 1005 days ago)Yes to this photograph which is unique and good for you to see it and "freeze" the memory (pun intended). I like the treatment, the vignette but most of all this photo feels right....the communication between photographer and subject can be felt. Gorgeous and gorgeous young woman in full bloom of beauty.
(5 years and 1005 days ago)A hot time in Rome! I really like the side composition of main subject with golden hair. The story is a pleasant one to read.
(5 years and 1005 days ago)A very staged looking photo and it looks like she is terrified of you! Nat. Geo photographers also stage their photos so there is nothing wrong with staging images. Her hair (the focus of this contest) plays second fiddle to outfit and pose but it is there. Technically well shot, in focus, no blow outs. Skin tones show heavy magenta hues and her index finger of left hand is really purple.
(5 years and 1005 days ago)I'm always looking in reflections with these kind of shots to see if I can see the photographer which makes the image more interesting (to me). Really caught at a great angle and unique in presentation which is refreshing.
(5 years and 1006 days ago)Try to see if you like this better with more contrast. It is an all encompassing composition with good bokeh which helps to punch out your main star.
(5 years and 1006 days ago)Quite a bit of grain on this photo. I do like the lines and patterns tho'.
(5 years and 1006 days ago)So this is your car and not the Jags...he he he he. I like the textures shown in this post.
(5 years and 1006 days ago)Like the smile on "his" face and of course the Ontario license plates melted my heart. Love the colour of this vehicle. Nice upload.
(5 years and 1006 days ago)This loathsome looking bug scares me....ooops, it's a car! I do love the emotional pull of your upload, well done save for that white sky which did not cooperate with you on this day of shooting. Sharp and love the POV.
(5 years and 1006 days ago)This sad looking bloke looks like a few Brits I know. It has a lovely antique look about it and you have grunged it appropriately.
(5 years and 1006 days ago)Like this one for the colour palette, it is close up, strong, well saturated nicely framed, good marginal space all around. Visual delight.
(5 years and 1006 days ago)YAY YAY YAY looks much better
(5 years and 1006 days ago)They are always in the ditch...stick to your old jalopy.
(5 years and 1007 days ago)Your upload made me grin from ear to ear. Good catch (both for you and the bird). It is too bad that you have blow outs on the feathers. Time to switch to manual but do keep that shutter speed high as you do already.
(5 years and 1007 days ago)This is a rather sci fi upload with that saucer like structure here and then gone! Like the curiosity this raises in me.
(5 years and 1007 days ago)Awwww nice nice nice. Really love the strory here but I do wish the top photo had that leaf in the center as well, but maybe it fell off during the blooming cycle. A very enjoyable view.
(5 years and 1007 days ago)I like the idea behind this, you saw the lines of the cat but your dof seems off and it comes across as soft in places where it ought to be sharp. Black and white is a great choice tho'.
(5 years and 1007 days ago)Good capture of lines. Your car? ha ?
