Yeah, like the artistry of this upload. Nice patterns, balanced, the frame ties it into a nice package, thumbs up.
(5 years and 1007 days ago)try for more balanced framing and see if you like it better....good one, I was here too!
(5 years and 1007 days ago)Simple, yet strong, very nicely cropped and good marginal space all round.
(5 years and 1007 days ago)Really a nice find, especially with that one lonesome human in the shot, makes this. photo
(5 years and 1007 days ago)Creative, I was quite taken with this. Good photographer's eyes.
(5 years and 1007 days ago)Really lovely simple strong, just great.
(5 years and 1007 days ago)Like how you kept the rooftops in the photo, gives the statue some scale. Nice.
(5 years and 1007 days ago)YOU BET,like this a lot. woof!
(5 years and 1007 days ago)Like the thinking behind this shot! Good one.
(5 years and 1007 days ago)looks OK to me
(5 years and 1009 days ago)I like how you have a fire coming out of the chimneys . Good idea to give strength to the sky yet keep a slither or rooftops.
(5 years and 1010 days ago)Dust on sensors the bane of all photographers.
(5 years and 1010 days ago)I just had some fish and chips (fries) for supper but there was no logo on the meal...I am a potato fan!
(5 years and 1010 days ago)Ahhhh takes my breath away LOL But on a more serious note I do like the title and photo and as you know in gallery showings the title does matter to help the photo along and it is part of the creative process...so all joking aside, I like your shot.
(5 years and 1010 days ago)Oh those fingernails were the first things my eyes landed on and I see the potatoes are not peeled? Very unusual sight to my eyes, hope they wash them at least LOL. A great shot, full of story, it is a fun photo.
(5 years and 1010 days ago)This looks good enough to go into a magazine....or my stomach. Nicely composed with distinction!
(5 years and 1010 days ago)Looks like a water colour painting, very very nice.
(5 years and 1010 days ago)Great catch, to bad about the blowouts. Are you shooting in A mode, if so time to bite the bullet and shoot in Manual you will have more creative control...try it.
(5 years and 1010 days ago)What a great photogrtapher's eye you show with this upload. Love it.
(5 years and 1010 days ago)Hey there , thank you for the explanation, this way we all learn. Nice to see you here on this site it is very enjoyable.
(5 years and 1010 days ago)Ahhh nourishes the soul. A very good long exposure without blow outs contrast could be stronger.
(5 years and 1010 days ago)You have dust spots on your sensor. Look at the upper right in the sky, mid section as well.
(5 years and 1010 days ago)YOU BET ! Excellent
(5 years and 1010 days ago)love it love it love it LOVE IT.
(5 years and 1010 days ago)ahhh like a breath of fresh air - good one.
(5 years and 1010 days ago)really really goooooooooooooooood.
(5 years and 1010 days ago)Yes, I saw that too, cool. With Pythagoras' Theory he IS sitting in the right spot, ay!
(5 years and 1010 days ago)We really enjoyed Hungary when there but didn't know about this region. Now I know. thank you.
(5 years and 1010 days ago)Now, how did you get this fellow (this triangular fellow) to pose for you beside some triangles. You have a great eye to spot this and I like it a lot.
(5 years and 1011 days ago)You worked at this image, it is not a photo taken, it is an image made. Do you know that when you place a circular object into a perfectly square format the image strengthens and the reason is because the natural pathway of our (western) eye is to read around and with the sides being equidistant from each other the eye bounces off the sides and back into the circle. Try it for fun and you will see what I mean. Y'see with a rectangle it is natural for the eye to read along the longest line, we read from left to right and then out of the frame. You want to keep our eyes inside of your photograph for as long as possible. I like the concept of round cork tops in a round circle.
(5 years and 1011 days ago)I knew this contest would have a sailboat and I found your upload. Personally I feel this would be a much much much stronger image had you placed the boat to the side and given it much room to "fly" into, but that is your artistic prerogative and I bow to it. That bird's blur adds some exciting movement to your image.
(5 years and 1011 days ago)I am totally taken with that shadow within the circle, what a catch! This is a very exciting image and the colour palette with blues/magenta and purple predominating gives a cool and quite feel but that circle spakles with yellow excitement. Good one.
(5 years and 1011 days ago)Simple, strong, well taken, cropped tightly and a good solid entry for this contest.
(5 years and 1011 days ago)Brilliant, you caught two people walking by and that shows us the massive scale of this triangle. Had you stepped back a few feet you could have caught the entire structure without amputation. Interesting and well done to have kept that little slice of building at the R of the frame for because of it's presence we can see the horizon line is straight.
(5 years and 1011 days ago)Lucky you to stumble upon this find, it was waiting for you and your camera. Your compositional style gives this a feel of a snapshot taken on the run, it has a hurried look to it and that adds an element of excitement.
(5 years and 1011 days ago)Great catch (excuse the pun). You caught it all and composed the image to the side with dark bokeh. Your exposure is well done with the sun shining brightly and I am taken with the shadow. Much to see here, what fun.
(5 years and 1011 days ago)"Quilt 'til you wilt" (I'm sure your wife knows that one). Gosh, you can't go wrong with this circle and square presentation. Colour affects us bipeds in many ways and this quilt by colour alone will keep you warm. Sharp, clear, vibrantly exciting.
(5 years and 1011 days ago)Love the artistic and minimalistic feel to this upload and of course the colours are very appealing to the eye. Framing with a diffused palm tree gives this shot a feeling of movement, you had a breeze this day. Crisp clear and a delight to review.
(5 years and 1011 days ago)Interesting that you placed the "mouth" to the side. With solid symmetry like you have a dead center would have worked as well. You have a few hot spots and what do you think about a closer crop down from the top to emphasise the "square"? I love the colours, nice catch and where is Balatonboglar?
(5 years and 1011 days ago)They need these signs not only in Croatia but world wide. Full of humour and only a photographer who laughs at life easily can find and photograph something like this. Simple and to the point and oh yes, a circle, good crop too.
(5 years and 1011 days ago)Ahh ha ha ha how clever of you to find this! Cirlce in the wheel and triangle within the wheel. Like that antiquated look about this photo. I bet if you changed it into sepia it would enhance that OLD feel. Still it is a good sharp image with softness whispered in the background.
(5 years and 1011 days ago)You have totally captured these children in their own world of bubbles, spontaneous photo and the child in the background is supporting the main character. What do you think if you cropped a bit more at the left to eliminate those dark hard lines that take our eyes out of the frame?
(5 years and 1011 days ago)This is my kinda slice of pizza, I see you took a nibble off the tip (naughty). Colourful and taken in bright sunlight but you did a good job.
(5 years and 1011 days ago)Yes, the focus goes directly to the sculptures and our eyes hunger to see them larger and in more detail. This is a thoughtfully composed upload and your technical elements are on target.
(5 years and 1011 days ago)I've seen this somewhere before, perhaps in a magazine. This is magazine quality and I love the statues. Your photo is crisp, clear, sharp , bright with good exposure and interesting.
(5 years and 1011 days ago)I had to smile at your white vignette becasue I do the same thing and I see you were trying to block out the legs, but they seem like they belong for they give scale to your statue. I also like the blueish tint for it adds a little something to push this photo into the different category. Nice and sharp and it looks like marble.
(5 years and 1011 days ago)Well seen and caught. Had I passed this statue I too would have shot it. It grabs our attention and I like it in b/w because it makes it extra enticing. Nice and sharp with good tonal range.
(5 years and 1011 days ago)I love the story of this image and you have such a good eye to see the triangle of canoe tip and circle of bridge in the distance. The triangle catches our eye and the circle pulls us in as if we are right there paddling with you. A delight to find this.
(5 years and 1011 days ago)Could be brothers if he didn't look so frightened. Brought a smile to my face.
(5 years and 1012 days ago)Wow in Germany, I would have never thought that.
