Big balls in a boat! I like that reflection caught. Colourful and that pov brings dem balls to us.
(5 years and 1040 days ago)Big congrats Skyangel way to go!
(5 years and 1041 days ago)Big Congrats on this stunning photo...first place....yipeeeee.
(5 years and 1041 days ago)LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. Patterns delight, sharp, colourful, dizzying. The icing on the cake is the scene (reflection) on the bottom few panes, as if it is a signature. Well seen and very well done.
(5 years and 1042 days ago)Ahhh it's you ....I would have never guessed.
(5 years and 1042 days ago)I want to give you a review on this one simply because I have the exact same photo, but at night, in the same place too. I love the mood of this, the way life is happening and you caught it well. The gray tones are vast. this photo has the feel of an analogue picture.
(5 years and 1042 days ago)Nice shot, sharp and brings back memories for me.
(5 years and 1042 days ago)I wouldn't mind sitting by this stream. Nice all encompassing photo.
(5 years and 1042 days ago)Location location location. Like the breezy feel of this.
(5 years and 1042 days ago)Sunny bright and happy, I like it.
(5 years and 1042 days ago)I just had to give you a review on this shot since I see this everyday. You caught him off guard during a very human moment. I have opened this up in high resolution and see you did a nice job of selecting out the orange. Look on his right arm, at the very base, where the robe and arm meet....you have a spill over onto the skin, you can easily eliminate this with desaturate....also have a look at the circular aspect of the lens...see how the integrity of the circle has been compromised? I do think this is a sharp and engaging photograph overall and I instantly gravitated to it.
(5 years and 1043 days ago)That is good to know and thank you for getting back to me on this.
(5 years and 1045 days ago)WOW...I just popped over to the Photoshopped Section and the imagination, the skill it takes to do this just blows me away...BUT HECK...you already know that...
(5 years and 1046 days ago)My husband tells me that every day is Valentine's Day...ahhhhhh.
(5 years and 1047 days ago)I have to tell you that the prices of your chocolates caused me to fall off my chair! 28 Euros for a box of chocolates...it's gotta be love.
(5 years and 1047 days ago)This is really clear and sharp and screams out Valentines Day --- the message comes across loudly. I wonder if a polarizing filter would help to eliminate those nasty reflections in the window.
Lovely colour and I hope you get a box of chocolates on this special day.
My father, who lived through WW2 always used to say to me "with bread and water you will never find hunger" (it sounds much better in my own language I must admit)
(5 years and 1047 days ago)YES YES YES...I rubbed this very same toe and never ever thought to just take a photo of toes....BRILLIANT...only a true photographer would see this and shoot it. Love it in BW it works. I know in colour it would be honey coloured and that toe yellow but it was a good idea to change it to BW as we get more involved. The grunge is beautiful. Oh I think I need to go back to Croatia!
(5 years and 1047 days ago)My goodness, I think they are in love with you, coming at you and at me! A lovely POV brings this image to our hearts immediately. Technically it is well handled and I love that bench in the background, it adds meat to the locale of the story of photograph. Quack quack!
(5 years and 1047 days ago)Do you know of this photographic trick that works with babies, animals and my husband? Professional photographers use it...and that is to make a noise, bark, meow, cackle....do something to make the person or dog or cat etc. to look at you. I have done this when shooting and it works for the subject will momentarily look your way and you have to be ready to grab the shot. I love this photo but had more faces been looking at you it would have been even a stronger image. Nevertheless, it is well focused, sweet and full of humour.
(5 years and 1047 days ago)BRILLIANT, ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. I love it when I learn something new. Placing 5 spoons on laptop and then shooting...WOW it works for it gives such an explosive feeling to the image, it is exciting, vibrant, and playful. The fact that you have inspired me to try something like this takes it to the top. How wonderful to be able to learn something new on this site.
(5 years and 1047 days ago)Ahhh this is going to be hard to beat. How you managed to get all 5 looking at you, all sharp as a pin, great bokeh and diagonal slash that always gives movement or dynamism to a photograph. Holy Crackerjacks I love this.
(5 years and 1047 days ago)A photo that is well constructed and it tells us a lot about the photographer and what a great sense of humour you have. I will invite you to my party!
(5 years and 1047 days ago)YOu have done a great job with shadow light play and the Chiaroscuro effect grabs my eye as I am a sucker for Chiaroscuro.
The bottles look like a gang of naughty boys who escaped from the refrigerator. I love it.
I'm fairly new to this site so I have to tell you that had you not told me about looking at this at high resolution I would have told you it is too soft...the upload here does not do it justice. This looks like it will be difficult to beat...that reflection rocks, it is clear and sharp in high resolution and tightly cropped. A great initial visual impact...KAPOW.
(5 years and 1047 days ago)Nicely rendered night shot. Clear emphasis on tower with no hot spots seen. Colours realistic and the image is straight and level. I like your compositional style giving plenty of room for us to breathe (pleasant marginal space consideration). YUM
(5 years and 1047 days ago)I am drawn to the post processing of this image for you have managed to give it that kapow feel. Those teams of tractors jump out at us in sharpness and vivid colour of hot red. You may have a bit of blow out on the sky but in the scheme of things this does not matter on iota for the tractors win big time.
(5 years and 1047 days ago)Well, I almost cried upon viewing this shot. I used to work there, at the CBC and this was my old stomping grounds. Now, Tolstoy said that if photographs stir the emotions then art has been created. A very emotive photograph for my eyes. Do you have a de-noise filter? You do have some noise on this, especially noted in the sky perhaps from a strong zoom. Yet that grainy feel also gives it a bit of a nostalgic film photo feel. Where did you shoot this from?
(5 years and 1047 days ago)To my eyes this photo goes to the top of the class. Beautifully rendered, perfectly seen and composed for us to delight in the patterns and the harsh black to white high contrasted photograph. Marvelous, really like it...nicely presented. LOVE IT.
(5 years and 1047 days ago)OMG I love the simple style of this image. One truck, a long road, grunge on the snow and texture in the sky. It is simple and strong and full of feeling. You knew what you were doing with this positioning of the truck and giving it plenty of room to drive into, it is so easy on the eyes. Full of visual impact, emotive and top notch photography. Very lovely indeed.
(5 years and 1047 days ago)WOW what a great catch....tractors' tires are huge...wish I had those trucks to drive over traffic jams
(5 years and 1047 days ago)Visually this image is full of impact, KAPOW and story too. The colours are rich and the photograph clear and sharp. Really a lovely photograph and to think you didn't have to manipulate it at all....a purist's delight.
Torn, tattered, teared , tractor. I like this, through and through with the inclusion of man it furthers the story. I like your crop which is unique in that you caught the tattered cab rather than the whole tractor. Still, photographically it is sharp, well exposed and full of story. Wonder what that fellow is doing in there, is he going to drive it really??
(5 years and 1047 days ago)OH MY this is torture. Toast, with melted cheese and bacon...be still the beating of my heart.
(5 years and 1047 days ago)I would not have minded a bit more toast to really get the feel of the letter T but perhaps that is just my greedy stomach speaking instead of my head. The image is a great close up that shows lusciousness, and calories galore!
Your POV on this photograph rocks! YES. You have come down low and it makes this toy truck HUGE...now that is a great inspirational way of seeing the small world around us. The colours are wonderful, the exposure spot on and marginal space equal. By placing those mandarin oranges hither and dither further excites us visually. Clear and sharp as a bell! Lovely.
(5 years and 1047 days ago)Oh this is very cool and artistic full of chiaroscuro technique. The glow can be felt with neon colours emanating. The focal point, that of turtle is a bit difficult to catch straightaway, however, your title has saved the day.
(5 years and 1047 days ago)This could be a photo of me...in retirement and a bit rusty around the edges!
(5 years and 1047 days ago)I like your composition by the inclusion of a piece of road at the bottom and that adds depth to the image. Have you tried cropping up more to take it out and then the retired old gal would pop out at us more...this is of course all about artistic license and I bow to yours. The tractor seems a bit soft especially in the grate and upper margin, as if smudged. Have you tried to equalize the marginal lines on both sides? I enjoyed viewing this upload very much.
Oh how I wish you had put up where this temple was taken. Let me guess ...Kyoto? hmmmm maybe not as the Golden Temple in Kyoto is larger.
(5 years and 1047 days ago)This is a very solid photograph, by that I mean it is balanced, you have included a nice frame of leaves all around it and at the top. The colour palette of primarily yellow and greens is rich and further excites the eye, it is off center placement of focal point that works. AND to top it off the sky was cooperating with you on this glorious day and gave you much texture with clouds. A delight to review.
There is something pleasurable in simplistic images for the often speak to the heart (ahem pun intended ). I find myself kinking my neck trying to read this but the footprints also add to the story and soften the kink in my neck! Sharp and well exposed and follows the KISS principle well.
(5 years and 1047 days ago)Love is all about flowers...always. I can read the word affectionately which further enhances this story. Photographically this is a well taken shot with good exposure, contrast and light source is diffused rendering no hard shadows. The image is well balanced and solidly presented and oozes with affection.
(5 years and 1047 days ago)I'm just saying that for me, artistically a similar homogeneity would have been stronger...but it is all about artistic license.
(5 years and 1048 days ago)Thank you for saying so...appreciated.
(5 years and 1049 days ago)She glows with an inner beauty that is palpable....tell her so please.
(5 years and 1049 days ago)Hey there, I'm getting to know you better thanks to your posts. He's gorgeously sweet, easy to love. Too bad that the backgrounds are different on this entry.
(5 years and 1049 days ago)I like this one...the colour is great, the angle is great, the sharpness...it's eye catching.
(5 years and 1049 days ago)I love the all encompassing story to this photograph, it is very inviting. It would also look great filtered into an oil painting for it looks like that already (I know you don't have photoshop but it is just a suggestion). A most pleasing view.
(5 years and 1050 days ago)Cool...I do not know this drink at all. Here in Thailand we have Red Bull, Chang Beer, Singha Beer. Frankly I would rather have a hot chocolate fudge sundae...ha ha ha ha
(5 years and 1050 days ago)I like your title and how it leads us into the story of your photograph. I would not have minded to see more bottle and NO I do not mind that you have amputated part of his head off for the meaning and the meat are felt. The photo is sharp and well rendered technically. Had you shot this from another POV it would have been a completely different photograph instead of face on....however, that is artistic prerogative.
(5 years and 1050 days ago)I will be there in two weeks.....again. I love that country and the food too....grrrrrr, there goes my waistline!
(5 years and 1050 days ago)Minimalism well rendered. Your white button calibration is good giving white snow and the detail on the tree is well seen....you know what you are doing with your camera. It looks to me like you and camera are best friends! Compositional style takes into consideration the grid rule and off center gives strength to a simple yet strong image. I am a great fan of KISS principle and you use it well here. Nice one.
(5 years and 1050 days ago)Oh how I wish you had said something about this photograph, to me it almost looks like a miniature!
(5 years and 1050 days ago)Sharp and clear with excellent DOF used. Well composed with train tracks as lead lines that take us deeper into the photograph giving this a three dimensional feel. The colours sparkle, it is bright and is full of story.
It is an exciting photo.
What a great portrait and to think we eat these guys...sheesh.
(5 years and 1050 days ago)I think you did a great job with eye catchement...the fact he's looking at you (and therefore us) rivets us to the photograph. Furthermore, the sharpness is spot on, even the hairs on his snout are pronounced. Nice tight crop that further pulls us in readily and a well bokeh-ed (is that a word?) background that does not compete with the image but supports it and helps to pop out the wonderful colour. It is well exposed is bright with good tonal contrasts.
YUM YUM
OH WOW, Oh how I wish you had said something about this photograph. Where was it taken? Looks to me like possibly Romania?
(5 years and 1050 days ago)You have caught the beauty of the environment magically with a garden to highlight the overall magic. I see it was an overcast day, do you think if you brightened this image up a touch it would pop a bit better?
I really like your POV and we can see you crouched down, used an appropriate DOF to get all in good sharpness. It is a photograph made not a picture taken, it shows you worked to get the best possible presentation.
I like it a lot.
