Welcome here! Since you're new and the contests are about to be closing soon, I remind you via this message that in case you use own images, you have to upload the original photos in the Step By Step guide. Good luck!
(5 years and 3144 days ago)If they ever wanna replay Star Wars with birds, this fellow would have the role of the Emperor. Nice image. Good luck!
(5 years and 3157 days ago)Haha . At first I didnt get it, but then I remembered some piece of work that looks familiar to this. Funny interpretation, although I have my doubts that I should be in the list between all the Magritte's and Dali's. Good luck!
(5 years and 3158 days ago)Nice interpretation, I like the colors too (in fact the deep colors reminded me more to Dali than Magritte). What you may want to reconsider is the transparancy of the glass. Right now the background is pretty well visible, like you'd look through a normal window. This makes the glass itself kinda flat, one-dimensional. I think because of the roundness and thickness of the glass the background behind should be more distorted. How exactly? No clue, but maybe this image can be a good inspiration http://www.50prime365.com/days/03262005.jpg. Good luck!
(5 years and 3159 days ago)Nice to see a Mondriaan , have to admit I'd like it more if it was made with brushes instead of vector lines. I'm pretty sure the entry would "live" more by using different textures and/or brushes. Good luck!
(5 years and 3161 days ago)PS the international name is Mondrian, but I'm glad you used the original Dutch name
Great painting, yes. Your interpretation is nice too, maybe as ibmaxed said could have some more highlights. What bothers me a little bit is the composition, everything happens on the left side, in the right corner it's as good as empty. Rest space is important, but since too many things happen on the left side, I expect *something* too on the other.
(5 years and 3161 days ago)You changed the position from the horses a bit compared to the painting, which shouldnt be a prob for being an inspiration. What I think works great in the painting is that the horse really deems up from the dark and faces the woman, while the woman tries to be as much as possible with her face to the other side. In your entry, it looks like (or how I see it) as if the horses are looking at the gargoyle, observing what it's doing with the poor woman. Perhaps you should reconsider the position of the horses, but I leave that up to you...
Ow, step 6 is can be nice too for being dreamy, though I would make it less liquified then.
Good luck!
Nice subject pick. One thing, is there written "Leci n'est pas une pipe"? Because it should be Ceci. In the painting it looks like a "L" (dunno why it's written like that), but it's a C. Good luck!
(5 years and 3163 days ago)Pretty cool to see all the jump&run steps in one picture. But yes, a high res would have been nice. Good luck!
(5 years and 3164 days ago)It's a bit dark and tiny bit grainy, but for the rest could be an interesting source to use. Good luck!
(5 years and 3165 days ago)Cool as image, as stock photo it might have been nice if it had a bit less exposure. But certainly original and usable. Good luck!
(5 years and 3165 days ago)It's a pity that the main focus is not on the face and hair but only the lower part of this image, otherwise it's certainly usable. Good luck!
(5 years and 3165 days ago)Well, I do see possibilities for this source (like, what's hidden in the dark), but overall it's not a first choice for a stock image. Original though! Good luck!
(5 years and 3165 days ago)Original source, good details, very usable imo. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Yup, quite some people would be happy with this, nice sharp image. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Pretty nice image, loads of details to work with. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Looks nice but imo a bit too much grain. Also not sure where the white dots come from. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Pretty freaky but also cool image. Nice organic shapes, overall pretty sharp, certainly something to use for in a contest! Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Nice image! If even kyricom can come with ideas, then it cant go wrong! :-P Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Simple but nice shot. The shadows can be seen as a challenge . Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Nice image! In high res not everything is as sharp, but most of it is very workable with. Funny creatures too, I'd expect some nice entries out of this. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)The petals looks very nice, I'd wish that a bit more (parts) from the background would be sharp too. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Nice image, but a high res would be nice . Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Yup, nice image, although it would have been even nicer if the light came from left. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Nice image, certainly usable! Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Although it has quite some DoF, there's still quite some still visible. But yeah, would be better if the object was all sharp. Also, this is the original color or adjusted? Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Image is nice, but perhaps a bit too bright. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Nice sharp image, but I agree with solkee about the cropping. Nevertheless enough left to make nice entries. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Good image, luckily no blue air so now there's enough contrast between church and background. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Although I see this more as a nice (and weird ) image, I do think it can be used as stock photo too. I already see the Marlon Brando "Apocalypyse Now" look-a-like entries In this possible source contest . But yeah, the smoke is a bit distracting. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Agree with above. The sharper the subject, the better! Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Nice clean image, but indeed maybe a bit too bright. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Agree with above, As image nice, but as stock I'd like to see the bullet sharper without anything distracting in the background. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Nice image, good colors. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)I like this image; it's sharp (enough), nice different textures and not too bright or dark. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Apart from the color, I do think this could work well as contest photo. It's a sharp image (that is, the 2 persons on the bench). Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Yup, I agree with Rob. Colors are nice, but I think I'd prefer to see more from the flower itself (so that the texture is also better visible), since most likely that will be chopped in pieces. The reflection is nice . Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Nothing more to add that already has been said: nice and very usable image. Good find! Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)As image very nice, but not sure if usable as stock photo. Normally persons for stock photography have a certain made pose (staged), this image looks more like a historical document or photojournalism. But again, nothing wrong with the photo itself. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Idea is ok, but I'd do something with the dinos that really make them look alive (in HighRes they look more obviously fake). For example make the eyes real or let steam come out of their mouths (not realistic, but what the heck). At least something that really show that they're doing something. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Ps in small nacionalgeographic.com should be nationalgeographic.com
Perhaps a bit freaky, but it certainly has some interesting elements . Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Nice image, good for abstract and blobby entries . Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)As image it's nice, but not sure if it's usable as stock photo. It's not neutral enough, imo. That is, it's already that grunchy-like that I'm not sure what other things to do with. But then again, that's just my opinion. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Interesting image, I like the colors. Perhaps a tiny it too much repetition though. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Huge image, likely usable though I can imagine that people would miss the duck's beak
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Very nice image, absolutely good stuff to work with. Has nice contrast, no distracting background so easy to cut out, nice elements to play with (read: to make loads of robots ). Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Nice, clean and useful image. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Yup, nice image, works good with black background. But I do hope there's a bigger high res. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Likely usable, but would have been nice to see a high res. Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Very nice image! As photo on it's own can be used (as suitcase), but the textures are also very usable to create something weird. Well done! Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)Nice textures, but perhaps a bit sharper would have been nice. Good luck!
