Very original image, good for the imagination. Agree with friiskiwi about the bush. However, with some photoshopping it's removed . Good luck!
(5 years and 3200 days ago)Interesting shapes, but perhaps a bit too bright and could do with more sharpness. The shadow would be a nice challenge . Good luck!
(5 years and 3200 days ago)Agree with friiskiwi. Would have been nicer if it's sharper and colorful background as contrast for the white mills. Perhaps also with more sun (so you can make the pic with higher shutter time). Good luck!
(5 years and 3200 days ago)Pretty cool weird shapes, nice textures, overall sharp. The flash is not bothering (though would have been nicer without). Imo certainly usable. Good luck!
(5 years and 3200 days ago)Interesting subject, but imo a bit too dark to work with, would like to see more (colored) texture and perhaps a bit sharper. The background is a nice contrast. Good luck!
(5 years and 3200 days ago)@kyricom: I agree there's an appropriate time for things to laugh (and also when you better should lower a cynical voice), but as mentioned in the comment, that's not the author's point.
(5 years and 3204 days ago)Having said that, I do agree with Mossy about your approach of the article. That is, if you want to stress the fact that Twitter takes a more serious place in the world, show that more in your entry, because right now it's more about the tsunami and the comedian.
Of course that's your good right -I guess, and I dont wanna push you to any way of thinking either- but imo it does not cover your defence words in your comment. Good luck!
If some of the twigs were tangled around the legs, I'd believe this is Evil Dead (though it should be darker then). Good luck!
(5 years and 3206 days ago)Alternative title could be " Is that a gun in your pocket or..." . Good luck!
(5 years and 3207 days ago)And with a great ending . Nice pic too! Good luck!
(5 years and 3207 days ago)Smart use of source, well done result. Good luck!
(5 years and 3207 days ago)Apart from what Chalty says, I'd also remove one pir of paws from the spider and perhaps lower the spider a bit (more in front of the waterfall) so that there's more contrast between spider and background (and there would be more balance in composition: something sharp above and something sharp under), but that last point is up to you. Good luck!
(5 years and 3207 days ago)Nice idea, original use of source and funny detail (missing wheel for the N). Good luck!
(5 years and 3213 days ago)Good idea. One thing, the reflection of the shoe is transparent so you see the original building reflection. Wouldnt be possible since the shoe is covering that part in the reflection too . Good luck!
(5 years and 3214 days ago)Good mood, I like the light from the helicopter and the general action. Vexycon does have a point though. Perhaps it would work better already if the helicpter would have less contrast/ some more blur, so that it looks less pasted. Good luck!
(5 years and 3216 days ago)The "dead" fairy lays pretty ok there (no pun intended), but if possible I'd replace the standing fairy for one that match better with the jar's perspective. Good luck!
(5 years and 3217 days ago)Hats off for your imagination . Good luck!
(5 years and 3218 days ago)Cool expression and ditto shot. Good luck!
(5 years and 3218 days ago)Good & recognizable use of source, nice reconstruction. The backwheels seem to float a tiny little bit, perhaps some more shading under would help. Another nitpick, the perspective from the bike is somewhat different from the background (nothing shocking though), in case you'd like to skew the right side of the background (moving up), could do the job. Good luck!
(5 years and 3218 days ago)Good movie for sure. I like these type of Fincher's movies more than i.e. Benjamin Button or Panic Room.
(5 years and 3218 days ago)Ontopic: Good luck!
Now I'm not a connoisseur, but I think I never saw a dog with a pinkish nose in my life before. Special breed? Good luck!
(5 years and 3219 days ago)But then I'm quite sure that Britney is more lethal with her body and voice (what a few people tend to confuse with "singing" ).
(5 years and 3221 days ago)Btw with the spotlights in her back, you may want to add a bit of light on the side of her arms and perhaps some more on the hair. Good luck!
Nice belly! Cute face too, well done result. Good luck!
(5 years and 3221 days ago)Pretty cool, but imo the word assassin doesnt add much more to a Pop art feeling (in fact it makes it more like a general image), the text balloon itself does all the work already (also that she is something like an assassin, no need to emphasize it with a word under the image). But ok, just my opinion. Good luck!
(5 years and 3221 days ago)Good colors and text. Curious why you made her neck orange though. Good luck!
(5 years and 3221 days ago)Smart entry, good idea. I might use a bit more fat font though, up to you. Good luck!
(5 years and 3222 days ago)Ps just out of curiosity: if you made it in Illustrator, shouldnt the outlines be sharper?
Nice but I might put this more under Jugendstil (Mucha) than Popart, despite the psychedelic-ish background. Good luck!
(5 years and 3222 days ago)Woah, very cool! Those eyes are creepy! Good luck!
(5 years and 3225 days ago)Idea is ok but perhaps you want to reconsider your technique. Right now the only way to see the dancers is via SBS, the lines are very hard to see in the final entry. What if, instead of drawing lines yourself, you use the curly (almost dancing lines from the glass structure? It's maybe a bit of a puzzle with selecting the parts and put them all in a logical way so the dance figure appears, but I think the effort would be certainly worth it. Good luck!
(5 years and 3232 days ago)Very nice result, you made the right mood with the right skills. Good luck!
(5 years and 3232 days ago)Bravo and well done, convincing result for sure! Good luck!
(5 years and 3232 days ago)Very cool, could be like that weirdo from Twelve Monkeys (not Brad Pitt...) . Good luck!
(5 years and 3235 days ago)Nice one! The capture and the cat! Good luck!
(5 years and 3235 days ago)Pretty cool shot, nice colors. Good luck!
(5 years and 3235 days ago)Well done, nice result. The hand image is from a it less quality than the coffee cup, but that's a nitpick. Good luck!
(5 years and 3235 days ago)@Mossy: it's the triangle shape, left from the middle . But have to admit, a SBS would be nice. Nice colors btw, author! Good luck!
(5 years and 3236 days ago)Looks like some kinda russian HAL9000 but then as camera . Good luck!
(5 years and 3236 days ago)Jaws has a point about the left bottom corner (although cropping too much might take the whole image out of balance). Ow, and karaflazz as a double good point. Good luck!
(5 years and 3237 days ago)Not sure why it would be a weak SBS, the entry is good enough explained, doesnt need to be a whole tutorial.
(5 years and 3237 days ago)Ontopic. Nicely done. Tiny suggestion is that perhaps the furthest backpaw can be shown a bit more (now it's covered by a front paw). If you'd put it more behind and make the movement from that paw like it's stretched, the whole body will be more in balance & dynamic (like, left front paw behind, left back paw more to front & right front paw to front, right back paw -the one I meant above- move behind). Something like that.....
Up to you!
Good luck!
Cool one, I like both expressions . Good luck!
(5 years and 3237 days ago)This contest wouldnt be complete without an entry of yours . Good luck!
(5 years and 3237 days ago)The general mood, the colors and theme is nice, it's some details which could make the entry more finished. That's imo mostly the hair, that looks a bit too roughly drawn compared to the more clean rest of the images. Pay a bit longer attention to it, perhaps you can add a blending layer (with mode multiply) to make the dark parts a bit darker so the hair looks somewhat more smooth. Or just use a tinier brush to get thát detail which make the image more like a whole. Same story would be for the strings. Perhaps here and there the edges from the suit can be a bit softer too. But for the rest I'd think that Tim Burton would like this .
(5 years and 3237 days ago)@Mossy: not sure, but maybe the dark shape you mention is not necessarely a shadow but some kind of necklace?
Author, good luck!
CMYK has a point. Apart from that, according to the landscap the light comes from the upper left corner, so you'd see the sign with some light in the left and a shadow in the grass. Good luck!
(5 years and 3237 days ago)Good use of sources, well done result. Maaaybe you could desaturate the magenta from her shirt a bit, but that's up to you. Good luck!
(5 years and 3238 days ago)Pretty funny, but I doubt you'd see that guy's legs inside the bus, since there are shutters behind the window (unless the legs are between the window and shutter). Abd maaaaybe for even more impact you could make the bus bigger, but that's up to you. Good luck!
(5 years and 3243 days ago)Looks yummie...but rather not as breakfast for me! Good luck!
(5 years and 3245 days ago)Nice picture, but you eat all thát for breakfast?! Good luck!
(5 years and 3245 days ago)Nice work, a result where you can be proud of. Good luck!
(5 years and 3246 days ago)Quite funny designs and ditto descriptions . Some supernitpicks though: I might be wrong but I think that "my" 25 PXLS is a bit bigger than the rest. Not a superproblem, but since the others have a same font size, I'd say that 25 pxls should have that size too. And -sorry for the superdupernitpick- it's depicting instead of dipicting.
(5 years and 3248 days ago)Good luck!
Nice. Add some more blur to the flowers in the back and -if needed- also a little bit of blur in your background, so that the DoF works better and the flowers in the foreground will pop out more. Good luck!
(5 years and 3251 days ago)Buzz is King, but definitely should be in the original green color. Good luck!
