Well done, author. And good uhm... choice of source . Good luck!
(5 years and 2453 days ago)A very nice instructive SBS, author. Recommended for beginners and more advanced digital drawers, so do have a look! Also nice result, just one concern: does the puzzle piece in front receive the same light source as the rest (or is it just my idea that the shadows are on the left side but not with the rest of the attributes?). Good luck!
(5 years and 2454 days ago)Well done, author. Nice timing, pretty smooth animated. Never heard of Plastic Animation Paper, any good? Good luck!
(5 years and 2456 days ago)Funny story, author. About your step 1 from your SBS: I do think your set up with different layers was ok. I dont know how you started with animating, but with the timeline setup you can move, (dis-)appear and split layers all to your liking. With the timeline you can make a tween animation. The good thing about the timeline is that you have way more control about what's gonna happen. You can adjust easier (per layer!) in case you dont like the timing. With frame animation (using a zillion apart images) you have to be lucky if everything is ok, more time consuming. Have to say, animating in PS is pretty much basic (also depends on your own creativity, imagination, etc) and frame (or cell) animation can be very cool, but in your case using layers would have worked well. Doesnt matter for the rest, the result is nice . Good luck!
(5 years and 2456 days ago)Having fun is by far the best reason to make an entry, author! Btw I actually like your step 6 in your SBS, though there's more humor in the final version . Good luck!
(5 years and 2457 days ago)Pretty ok, author. Here and there you might want to add some strong highlights on the dragon, to give more of a chrome effect. Good luck!
(5 years and 2457 days ago)Pretty shot. Tiny nitpick, the horizon is juuust not straight, but is barely noticable. Good luck!
(5 years and 2462 days ago)Well done, I only miss a palm tree . Good luck!
(5 years and 2462 days ago)Nice one and funny title! Good luck!
(5 years and 2462 days ago)Well done, but I kinda miss a good pair of impressive claws for the mama bird. Good luck!
(5 years and 2462 days ago)Nice work, author. I might have expected a bit larger shading from the helmet on the face, but that's a minor point. Good luck!
(5 years and 2462 days ago)Fine work, funny story. Good luck!
(5 years and 2463 days ago)Pretty funny, author! Good luck!
(5 years and 2463 days ago)Convincing result, well done with masking the basket. Good luck!
(5 years and 2464 days ago)Would be very nice if there was a high resolution version too. Good luck!
(5 years and 2464 days ago)Well done. Good luck!
(5 years and 2464 days ago)Although it's of course up to you, I'd definitely leave the effects for what they are and create something that truly inspires you and would like to show the world after seeing the source image. Good luck!
(5 years and 2465 days ago)I agree with Alan, it's just that the bird is too obvious looking back over the shoulder. With other words, the hird's body is 180 rotated compared to the warrior image. What might work is to remove the feathers and put the head straight on the body (with some more tweaking..). Good luck!
(5 years and 2465 days ago)I understand the bird's grumpy face, cause there's not much to eat there in that field . The oil filter doesnt work very well for me, or at least I dont see much added compared to without the filter. Also, the bird looks a bit pasted. That's imo mainly because of a conflict between light. Looking at the tree, there's a strong light coming from left three quarter behind. Therefore you'd expect the bird getting the light from the same direction. Is it possible to adjust that? Good luck!
(5 years and 2465 days ago)It's good to see the SBS to understand the work involved here, well done. Good luck!
(5 years and 2465 days ago)Sounds interesting, nice photo . Good luck!
(5 years and 2469 days ago)I wanted to write "good book cover proposal!", but I see now that BeSea was first . Good luck!
(5 years and 2469 days ago)Interesting image, I think if there'd been a bit more space on top, it would have done the photo good. Good luck!
(5 years and 2469 days ago)Good work, very ontheme! The hand is a nice addition indeed. Perhaps you'd like to clean the area around the second tail (from top) a bit, it looks like it has some shadow behind, while it shouldnt be needed. Good luck!
(5 years and 2471 days ago)Edit: Better this way
Fine work, author! Good luck!
(5 years and 2472 days ago)Well done, nice dreamy color combination. The lensflare is no must for me (bit too artificial for my taste compared to the more organic shapes of the rest in the image), but that's maybe just me. The sirls on the left side look more elegant than on the right side (looks a bit too obvious liquified), but overall mission accomplished . Good luck!
(5 years and 2472 days ago)Indeed, well done! The only thing I dont get well is why the white fur from the cat turned out a bit bluish. Personally I'd keep it (more to) the original color of the cat source. For the rest, nice masking! Good luck!
(5 years and 2472 days ago)EDIT: imo looks better this way, author!
Nice but you may want to soften the edges of the castle since the quality of it is a bit more blurred. Good luck!
(5 years and 2474 days ago)I think they miss the books in the middle. Meanwhile, cool and wild shot! Good luck!
(5 years and 2476 days ago)Nice colors and composition. Good luck!
(5 years and 2476 days ago)Pretty cool, you'd expect the hare to be gone already as soon as he would spot you. Good luck!
(5 years and 2476 days ago)Geez, what a face! Very cool! Good luck!
(5 years and 2476 days ago)Very funny entry author, well done! Good luck!
(5 years and 2476 days ago)Nice but imo the added smoke/fog all over the image is a bit distracting. Good luck!
(5 years and 2476 days ago)This is such typical entry that could do with an SBS (I know, it's not mandatory when you use external sources) to show the work that has been involved. Well done. Point of critic: the main light source comes from left up, while the boat itself is lit from the other side. Also there are some perspective issues, if you look at the horizon line the boat is a bit too much forward (would be correct though if it's sinking...). Good luck!
(5 years and 2476 days ago)Nice job making the water, author. Maybe more important, good job making the educational SBS, worth to have a look at. Good luck!
(5 years and 2477 days ago)Nicely put together but please be a bit more carefull with selecting/masking the images. In Hires the house looks very cut out like you only used the polygonal lasso tool and that's it. The mood is ok, but details like a good masking are very important. Good luck!
(5 years and 2477 days ago)Funny image, author. You do need to pay a bit more attention to the masking of the objects, but the imagination is ok! Good luck!
(5 years and 2477 days ago)I'd almost see a duck in it . Is it possible to rotate the image -90 degrees or you submitted the entry like this on purpose? Good luck!
(5 years and 2479 days ago)Your idea may work better when you have a real extreme sharp image of a bee, so it's more obvious that you focus on that. Right now it looks a bit too cut out imo. Good luck!
(5 years and 2481 days ago)The woman's face and body are well done, but imo you should have gone for another solution to make the wings like flames (or at least that's how I understand they are). Right now they look too obvious liquified and smudged more than impressive flames on wings. Though just my humble opinion, of course . Good luck!
(5 years and 2484 days ago)The extra flame on the nose is a nice detail . Good luck!
(5 years and 2484 days ago)Nothing wrong with your imagination, author! Well done!. Good luck!
(5 years and 2486 days ago)Pretty well done changing the mood, good work on the SBS too. Nice that some snow flakes are bigger to create depth, smart move! Good luck!
(5 years and 2486 days ago)It's nicely put together, but imo it can do with some highlights, to accentuate some of the elements. This way you may increase depth in your image. Good luck!
(5 years and 2487 days ago)Funny story. I kinda miss a shadow for the pouring water out of the bottle. A real challenge, I'd say! Good luck!
(5 years and 2487 days ago)The mood is pretty ok, you might want to clean up some areas around the horizon a bit. Also you might want to correct the perspective for the lighthouse's window (you can skew it up a bit on side). Good luck!
(5 years and 2489 days ago)Nice work, good composition. Not completely sure if I see the concept of bringing back life in the entry, but maybe that's me. Good luck!
(5 years and 2489 days ago)Nice idea, but with this perspective I'd expect the tail to be closer to the mermaid (unless it's a very large tail, of course). Good luck!
(5 years and 2489 days ago)Nice idea, but you might want to spend a bit more time on the masking & blending in step 3 and 4. Good luck!
