Nice use of colors. I might have put the horizon line ánd towers somewhat lower so you can give some more space to the name of the serie and somewhat more under the name of the movie. Imo a bit too much happens above now while under it's a bit too empty. Good luck!
(5 years and 3097 days ago)Mike may have a point. Also, I think the cast list would look better without the commas (and I think I'd add John Cazale, pity he died so young...). Good luck!
(5 years and 3097 days ago)Nice one, maybe you can make the text "Is it safe" in the same color as the top of the background from the poster, so you can read it a bit better and there may be nice repetition of color. Good luck!
(5 years and 3097 days ago)Terrific movie, good concept but perhaps for this contest I wouldnt mind to see the title in the poster. Good luck!
(5 years and 3097 days ago)Funny idea, but perhaps you can put the face options left under? After all it's all white there, while on the right side you cover her arm. Good luck!
(5 years and 3104 days ago)If you flip the cat it'll get more or less the same lightsource as the background. Good luck!
(5 years and 3104 days ago)Although karaflazz mentions some nice options, I do like this version. For me no problem that the focus is on the cheese, the glass shape and color gives enough indication that we deal with wine. The red background is also fine, with the blurry glass it almost becomes one, but still enough to see what's what and gives the photo something extra to the cheese (like cheese with wine mood, dunno how to explain). Also the close framing with left the wine and right the cheese works well. maaaaybe the front part could do with some more highlights so it repeats with the backparts (light reflection in the glass), but that would be it imo. Good luck!
(5 years and 3104 days ago)Nice pic, but....sprayable cheese?! It almost sounds like an insult for cheese lovers . Good luck!
(5 years and 3104 days ago)The lights from the car is a nice detail, but something tells me that the sky can be way darker. Good luck!
(5 years and 3109 days ago)Nice use of colors and combination of typography and illustration, classy look that fits with the product. Well done! Good luck!
(5 years and 3111 days ago)Whoa, what are those black dots on top of the head? Nice shot! Good luck!
(5 years and 3111 days ago)It took a while, but I definitely see ED-209 in it ! Who? This bad boy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ED-209 !! Good luck!
(5 years and 3116 days ago)I think I see Rasputin . Good luck!
(5 years and 3117 days ago)Nice one, like the colors, good focus too. In fact, it's almost mouth-watering. Good luck!
(5 years and 3121 days ago)Good idea, but maybe a bit more contrast for some more dramatic feel would have been nice for this photo. Good luck!
(5 years and 3121 days ago)Good to see you back again, author. Nice work too. Good luck!
(5 years and 3123 days ago)Why disappointing? This is your highest scoring entry in your portfolio, something to be proud of! See it on the bright side
(5 years and 3123 days ago)Nice idea, pretty funny result but 2 suggestions. First, imo the blending from the star fish to the hands and feet can be a bit more smoothly if you'd softly use some more of the star fish texture on the hands, etc. Second, the quality of the star fish image is soso around the edges (more blurry) that also affects the star fish itself. In case yu'd be able to find a sharper image, the added hands (which are all also sharp) ill fit better with the background (or if you want, make the hands as blurry as the background). Good luck!

(5 years and 3127 days ago)Good penguin and nice other details. And now I'm finally a Simpsons character :-P.
Good luck!
This is not just a nice presentation but also a very good idea! Well done and I'd make a patent request for this design . Good luck!
(5 years and 3127 days ago)Looks pretty ok, but it would be nice if you'd do something about the quality of the planet in the right corner. The pixelated quality doesnt do justice to the rest of your well crafted image, imo. Good luck (and nice to see you again!)!
(5 years and 3130 days ago)As a poster it looks pretty nice, but not sure how this would work as cover. The name The Eye will be also big on top of the image, so it would be double. Perhaps instead of THE EYE 3 you can write something else that's typical for Arnoldi? Also, would be nice if you could describe what you took from his work or style that made you create your design.
(5 years and 3130 days ago)Good luck!
I agree with erikuri, there's a subtle but nicely done difference that just makes her old enough. Perhaps you could give her some more eyeliner and I'd recommend to make her nose (the bridge) somewhat larger (and with that perhaps also make the whole face a bit larger). Good luck!
(5 years and 3132 days ago)Not bad, but I think I prefer step 6 or 8 from your SBS, they look more natural though the wrinkles on the forehead are certainly a nice effort. Good luck!
(5 years and 3134 days ago)Certainly not bad, I do think she has grown up features in the face but maybe some points to improve.
(5 years and 3134 days ago)For a grown up she has huge front teeth, if you can make them some smaller (or perhaps close her mouth more, then they'd be better in proportion with her face.
Her chin, go back to he original chin and remove some from the (little bit of) double chin from the girl. Try not to make the edges too blurry, the way she has her head, you'd see a more sharp contour around the chin. Lastly is her body. If you see your original pic, the head is higher, the way you put the head makes it look like she misses a neck and instead it's put straight on the shoulders. I'd put her face more on the place from the original photo and if needed make her hair longer to cover the original hair or just blend the yong girl's har with the older hair. Good luck!
Is it me or does this froggy look depressed? Good luck!
(5 years and 3135 days ago)Nice "MTV"-feel (well...MTV from 15-20 years ago, I better dont think about sweet 16 and more of that stuff that they show nowadays......). Good luck!
(5 years and 3135 days ago)Cute, but it would have been nicer if their feet were in the shot too. Good luck!
(5 years and 3135 days ago)Nice alien-ish kiss, they really become one . Good luck!
(5 years and 3135 days ago)Pretty famous indeed, though imo would have been nicer if the tower was straightened. Good luck!
(5 years and 3135 days ago)The differences are subtle, but convincing enough to make her look older. Smart source pic . Good luck!
(5 years and 3136 days ago)For some reason reminds me a bit of Donnie Darko . Perhaps I'd make the guy's shadow a tiny bit darker and give the suite a little bit of yellow photofilter. If you want you can give the guy a tiny blur (you can experiment easier with it if you make a smart object from the head and body) and also add a layer (with blending overlay) with some tiny grain noise, so it fits better with the quality of the background photo. Good luck!
(5 years and 3136 days ago)EDIT: good improvement imo
Their CD Time's up was pretty great, listened to it many many times! Pretty colorful with the grey background as contrast, works well. Good luck!
(5 years and 3137 days ago)Nice combination of elements (rose that comes back as illustration in the clock), but personally I would make the rose in the foreground as sharp as the rest so that it looks more like the rose and clock belong to each other. Good luck!
(5 years and 3138 days ago)Nice sharp image with good use of the gradients of blue that subtlely shows he clock shape. Good luck!
(5 years and 3138 days ago)Good Dawn of the Dead (remake) approach . Good luck!
(5 years and 3141 days ago)Nice image! Good luck!
(5 years and 3141 days ago)This kiddo could be just another weird character from the Tankgirl comics. Well done for sure! Good luck!
(5 years and 3144 days ago)Nijntje , nice light indeed! Good luck!
(5 years and 3148 days ago)Funny idea with toys coming alive (and then using Woody, nice wink), but imo it's a bit too hard to see that the TS characters are actually printed on paper (maybe the perspective and reflection from the dolls also have to do with that), though I can understand that this way it's also harder to distinguish the real from the fake world and want to confuse the viewer with that. However, I'd make the character in the back a biiiit less saturated and also copy-paste the paper texture from the TS characters source over the dolls so that you have to look closer to see the difference between the 2 worlds. Just my opinion . Good luck!
(5 years and 3155 days ago)Nice idea and execution, funny to see that the entry works best in smaller version. Good luck!
(5 years and 3159 days ago)Good idea, nice thinking. The presentation of the book looks good, the text is believable. If possible, you could carefully mask the area around where the fingers hold the book a bit more (I see some light outline left and a dark outline right). But for the rest well done! Good luck!
(5 years and 3160 days ago)Green of envy?
(5 years and 3161 days ago)Good luck!
This banner has certain potentional. Likely the most eye-catching (literary) are the eyes (girl looks at you, so you look back). Also the color combination is not bad, though perhaps "PXLEyes.com" could be better readable (maybe bit more contrast with the background) the logo isnt red, but I understand that you wont wanna have the whole image blue, so I guess that could be possible as you have it now. The thing with the use of color is that there's only red on the left side, maybe some red in the right side could make it more like a whole. Is this a general banner or special for PS contests? If it's special for PS, then I'm curious what you'd put there in the right shape. Good luck!
(5 years and 3163 days ago)Although the hand is positioned slightly differerent inside each drawing, I do like the final effect & result. Good luck!
(5 years and 3164 days ago)Although not a must (accordng to the contest goal), I'd add the Pxl logo too so that the site ts easier to be recognized. And I'd change "sipmle" into "simple" . Good luck!
(5 years and 3166 days ago)As said above, nice use of colors. They're bright without being overdone, looks professional. As a serie the banners are not bad, eventhough you used different solutions for each of the banners, the colors and use of texture brings them together. What you could do is put the logo always on the same place and perhaps use a same way to show what contest you want to advertise (i.e. the way you put the PS contest can also be done for the others). I like it that you put that photoshop window in a same direction as the text, I kinda miss that in the other banners. The whole setup from the PS banner (logo left, texture as background, diagonal text for the contest in the middle and in the right an image) could work for all, and you kind of did it but with some of them it works better than the others (example, for the 3D banner you illustrated the 3D part in the text itself instead of an extra image, is a different solution than the rest). Not that I dont like each of them, it certainly has potentional. It's more up to you what you'd like as serie. Ow, and I certainly agree with greymval about the camera, a real image would increase the power of the banner a lot. Good luck!
(5 years and 3168 days ago)Not bad, but the logo straight on a blue background doesnt work well imo. It needs more contrast or you'd hardly be able to see it (while it should be one one of the more important elements in the banner). The icons are ok, I'd recommend a better aligning inbetween the icons. I'm not completely sure about the tagline, since there are also photographers and perhaps they dont see themselves as graphic artists. And well, I'd add a "s" to artist. Good luck!
(5 years and 3168 days ago)Nice way to illustrate about that there are drawing contests, however, I as viewer barely have a clue what site you'd mean. Of course there's a Pxl-logo, but for me there wouldnt ring a bell by then. Also, though that's personal, I'd leave the logo untouched (so not with a filter) and add something else that the hand is painting (who knows, maybe the text "drawing contests". What I also miss is a link between the left part and the text right, they're too different from each other imo. A solution would be to add something in the background that connects the elements on the foreground. Good luck!
(5 years and 3168 days ago)Funny playing with the logo, url and tagline. You used different solutions for each of the sizes, but thanks to the consistent use of background they still can be seen as a whole. Also, the background is light and subordinate to the more important logo and text, which get the full attention. I dont know well what I'd expect if I didnt know the site, however "for pixel addicts" should be the trigger for the more graphic minded people. Personally I dont think that all the designs work as well (if it's about composition and eyecatcher to click further) but others like the big one left and the 2nd from right under certainly have potentional. Overall interesting collection, I'd say make some more . Good luck!
