This tutorial shows you how to build an Impasto brush in Corel® Painter™ X. Impasto brushes and the Impasto depth layer in Corel Painter give you the ability to paint with realistic, three-dimensional brush strokes that leave bristle marks and paint texture on the surface of the image. Many Corel® Painter™ users also work with Adobe® Photoshop®, so it is helpful to configure the Corel Painter color management settings to match the settings in Photoshop. By matching settings, colors displayed in Corel Painter will closely resemble colors in Photoshop. Colors may not be reproduced exactly because Photoshop and Corel Painter use different color management engines; Photoshop uses the Adobe Color Engine and Corel Painter uses the Kodak Color Management Engine.
